***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Sounds like BH. I think you tend to get more BH the second time round? I don't know if it makes a differnce to how quick they come. I had loads of BH with my first and she was 10 days late and it was a long labour. She did come naturally though. Is there a reason for you being booked for a cs at 39+2 rather than waiting untill you are due?

Hi guys I have just joined the forum I am 27 + 4 and if its ok with you I would like to join as I am due on the 13th of January :)

Lulu

Added you to first page hun! Put you down as team yellow for time being

Yes bunny- Freddie stopped moving and I never even had a contraction- he had hypothermia when he was born and they believe he got stuck in my pelvis which is why I never went into labour and he became poorly. He was in Nicu for a week while he recovered. I begged for induction at 41 weeks as a friend lost her son at 40+5 and my cousin at 41 so I had real anxiety about this but they refused. I had a crash c section and was knocked out. I've been told since he was very very lucky and had to be resuscitated for 5mins before he took his first breath.

Naturally I vowed never to go overdue again and will do anything possible not to go through the same experience. It still upsets me that we potentially had a very close call with my precious baby.

I would love to experience a natural birth (or even a contraction) for that matter, but baby has to come first. Xxx

Sounds terrifying Jolly.

There is really no way of knowing when baby will come though?

Second babies tend not to be "as late" but often still late?

There is of course no real rhyme or reason! SIL had her first 2 weeks early and 2nd a week late.

You could get cracking with all the tricks from 37w? Rasberry leaf tea, hot food, exercise ball, sex, pineapple. Although baby comes when baby is ready.

James was 9 days late, but labour started when I was 40w 6d.

I had an OK experience last time. Some bad (epically long early labour, had to deliver on labour ward as opposed to birth centre, had to be monitored and baby had to have clip on head) but had some really positive stuff too (time I spent in birthing centre was wonderful, despite needing the drip and having my water broken etc I managed a completely natural delivery)

Am feeling a lot more nervous this time, last time until the day I had no idea what the Hell was going to happen - this time I know its going to freaking hurt

I am however not at all fussed about how / where I have baby - I know that its just a means to an end. Hoping to go completely natural {used G&A and had one hit of diamorphine with James} if at all possible but will do whatever I need to when the time comes.

Hope she isn't early though, I am working until I am 38w

Ah yes, I can see where you are coming from Jolly. Where I live it makes me mad that they seem to treat early induction/CS very lightly and I had to be quite firm about waiting for LO to come naturally because I felt it was the safest option for me and LO but I can see why you would make the choice you have.

Hi

Just seen the first page! I need to change my due date to the 14th please and I am team blue :) x

Officially here at last xx baby had been quiet yesterday and this morning so as usual I was kind of panicky but I'm being reassured by some nasty kicks the last hour :) xx trying to get house organised at the minute but I just have to keep sitting down in case I fall down. At this point with Tyler I thought I had loads of time but he came at 33 weeks so really hoping to get over Christmas at least this time xx

Hi all

I completely forgot it was time to move over here - I'm 27+2 today!

Lovely to hear all the latest news - and see some bump pics.
I am so bored at work - I'm a firefighter so have been on 'light duties' since I first found out I was preganant at like 6 weeks so I'm really starting to get bored!! I am obviously not allowed to go on fire calls or join in with the majority of training. they have given me a 'project' but gets very lonely when the rest are out and about!

I have flu & whooping cough jabs together on 31st Oct!

I just realised I'm 27 weeks today too!,Been hanging out for a while but here officially now. Although doesn't week 27 officially start at 26+1? I think it's supposed to be counted that way because your first week is counted from 0+1.

Hi

Just seen the first page! I need to change my due date to the 14th please and I am team blue :) x

All done hun!

Wowser, you got moved forward over a week??

Another boy as well, amazing! We have a lot more boys so far so I reckon there are going to be a fair few team yellow's that turn out to be wee girlies !!

X

I'm not sure if I'd like her to come naturally or not- it was a really tough decision to book the c section in but I know it's the right one for us both :-)

We did seem to have lots of girls to start with didn't we, then the boys seemed to overtake!!! X

Had my 28 week appointment today. Midwife says baby is head down. Here's hoping it stays that way. She's happy with everything just now.
Hubby has last dose of chemo tomorrow! Can't wait till he's back to himself. This second cycle has knocked him for 6.

Oh mrs w that's great- fingers crossed this round doesn't have the same impact x

Ah hope everything goes well mrs w xx

Haven't actually thought much about giving birth yet, I don't tend to freak out until the last couple of weeks which isn't great lol! It's still so surreal for me, is that strange?? I can't picture myself with four kids :/

Jolly, that sounds pretty horrific. What a stressful time. Glad it all turned out ok but no wonder it's left you edgy about things.

I had BH from about 20 weeks in my first pregnancy and have them again in this one from about the same time as before. My son arrived by natural labour 3 weeks early, so I imagine this little girl will go 2 weeks overdue just because I will be analysing every twinge from 37 weeks on!!!

Woohoo, so many of us officially moving over today :)

Hahah ceecee yes!!! I was convinced my boy would be a week early- how wrong was I!!! But at least I know with this one there will be no waiting- I don't really want her any earlier than 38 weeks anyway, but will have her before 40 as it is so all is fine- will be interesting to see if I have any more bh- they're very exciting!!!! Probably the closest to a contraction I'll ever get ;-)

Jaycee- it's funny because I couldn't imagine myself with one baby, now I can't imagine myself with two- obviously four is different but I guess we don't realise how much we've adapted to life since having the last one :-) x

Hope all goes well for hubby mrsw. Glad baby is behaving lol.

I'm the same jolly. Couldn't see how I'd be with a baby when I was last preggers, now wondering how I'll manage with 2.

Had a lovely 4 day weekend but God does James take it out of me. I've been with him every second since Thursday night (he's still in our room). Its been all down to me as well as OH is working at new place.

X

Felt the same with my third too you'd think I'd be used to it by now! Gonna be mad going back to nappies and feeds etc :/ seems like every time I get one out of nappies I get another in them haha! I think the fact I was induced last time has thrown me a bit because I don't know when I would have gone into labour or how long it would have been so can't map out a pattern.. They were 7.6 7.5 and 7.4 so kinda hoping for a 7.3 now to match lol! Was 5 days early with J 3 days early with E and induced 4 days early with L.. I don't know if I want baby to come before or after Xmas day.. I'd like to reach my due date for once though!

Yoohoo, hope everybody is ok!
Feel a cheat posting in tri 3 but like to keep an ear as to what's going on! ;-)

Great news about DH MrsW. Hope he's feeling well today.
Jolly your not the only one having a section as I'm hoping to elect one to after an emcs with DD. Haven't been given a date yet though and won't till 34 weeks, eek! :-)

Woo hoo - I am now officially here in the last trimester!!

So excited.

FluffyCats, I started this thread when I was just over 24 weeks LOL, so was a wee bit premature coming over but hey ho
