***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Right, I warn you all I'm going to sound pathetic here but something's really peed me off!!!

Last week I mentioned to a girl at work (who's preg and 6 weeks behind me) that I've been told I have SPD and need physio- it was during a convo and I didn't mention anything about staying off work for it- I'm up for promo so need to make sure I stay at work until my leave date.

Anyway, this week she's been off work with terrible back pain and is now being referred for physio. I know it shouldn't, but it's really annoyed me because I hobble around work at the moment and have wanted to cry because of the pain.

She's the kind of person who always gets what someone else has had the week before. I honestly believe if I hadn't mentioned it last week she wouldn't have been signed off.

I told you I was pathetic, but I'm peed off that I have to put up with it and suffer. I'm probably just jealous I know :-(

I had awful heartburn with my son and he was born with a headful of thick black hair. Soon fell out though lol.

Welcome back Kiwi and yay for 30 weeks :)

Jolly, that would piss me off too. I've known people like that and they drive you mad.

I feel like this little lady has really dropped in the last couple of days. No heartburn or pain round ribs at all yesterday after suffering every night for weeks and feel like I now have a bowling ball between my legs. The pressure down there is crazy and Im definitely walking differently now. Inner thighs still really painful though and my foof is constantly aching. I didn't think they dropped this early?

I was so pleased when I heard of this old wives tale about heartburn being a sign of a baby with lots if hair when I was pregnant with my first but nope baby born bald and little to no hair for two whole years! She's 54 now with a beautiful head of curly hair and she always gets compliments! Same with second awful heartburn no hair! Have had some hb with this one but not bad I'm guessing he'll literally be bald for 3 years lol! Saying that I was bald for ages! My sil though had such bad bh had to be prescribed meds and her baby has the most hair I've ever seen on a newborn!

Happy Friday ladies,

Although today is going to drag as I am completely exhausted.

Been having ocular migraines - I did used to suffer with them terribly around ovulation time and period time but then I got pregnant in 2012 and haven't had any since....until about 3 weeks ago (I've had 4 or 5 since then)

Back in the day my trigger was always hormonal so I am guessing the "girly" hormones have started my migraines again? Have checked BP with my machine at home and it's all fine.

It doesn't help that I am so tired I feel as though I crawled into work this morning. Just two more weeks and then I am off for a week [although that's when I'll be moving house  ]

Not sure I'll actually manage 11 more weeks at work???

X

Hi all

I look at this thread everyday and the ssme when I was in tri 2

I'm jobione am i am having a girl probably called phoebe, I should have let people know in tri 2, I am on the beginning of this thread and i currently have a question mark next to my name (its a girl) , i haven't posted in months due to not being able to log in and reactivation e mail not working, so eventually just got round to setting up afresh with a very similar name.

Currently 28, weeks so 12 weeks to go, and i seriously cant believe how quickly trimester 2 went!! flew by.

I would feel the same to Jolly. Nothing worse than working with someone who constantly milks pregnancy niggles when you yourself are working through them quietly.
when i worked full time and was pregnant with DD there was a girl who was pregnant and due only a week after me. She was constantly 'signed off sick' by the doctor for this or that and phoned in sick loads outside of those. She didn't have a busy job so spent most of the time sat on her arse doing nothing! Then there was me who never had any time off apart from midwife appointments and worked a very busy job up until the day i went on mat leave. It's very frustrating, if she carries on though people will pick up on it and hopefully praise you for soldiering on!

Poor you Nat, migranes are nasty things!
Glad you had a lovely holiday Kiwi, can't believe your 30 weeks already! I'm only seeing light at the end of the tunnel on tri 2 ;-)
Good to see you Jobione, congrats on team pink!

Got my hair cut today and it feels soooooo amazingly nice. These hormones are thickening it up loads and making it grow much faster.
Got to love a good haircut! My DD had her first ever trim to, her hair was so long with lovely curls at the ends. Was just a nibble but still felt emotional watching :-)

Ah jobieone good to see you back, I remember you from tri 1 :-))) congrats on team pink :-)

Anyone else really had enough of foof kicks? I really feel like there's only so much pounding my cervix can take without being pushed too far!! I'm terrified she'll come too early- I don't mind any time after 37 weeks, but at 28 weeks it's too early and I'm a bit worried :-(

Is that completely irrational? Is there any reason I should worry about this???

I'm not moaning, just constantly being kicked in the fanjita!!!

Oh jolly, me. Especially when wee one decides to push down and I feel like they want to come out right now!
Also getting sick of the pressure under my ribs on right side. I just wish it would hit the left side every now and again and give right side a wee break! Skin is so sore!

I think that's what worries me- she's so low, I have no rib pain! Freddie's bump was so high up and he was in my ribs constantly but this one and my bump seems super low- glad I'm not alone though x

Eurgh Nat, migraines are the worst. Poor you :(

FLuufy, jealous of your haircut. I had mine done a few weeks ago but it was literally only to trim the ends. I just can't keep up with a proper style at the mo lol.

Jolly, I had that earlier tonight. I swear it felt like she was pushing down from inside and was going to fall out of my foof there and then. My son was born 3 weeks early for no obvious reason so I am always worried that this one will be earlier still. It rth eally bothers me. I'm definitely carrying lower second time around.

Yay Jobione, another girly for the group. They are seriously trailing behind the boys, but there are quite a few team yellows so could be some more in there.

I officially confirmed my work finish date as 19th December today :) . The days between 19th and my due date will be taken as annual leave to maximise my pay and then mat leave will kick in from my due date on 19th Jan. Seems mad that I havea a leave date already and it's only 8 weeks away. 24 working days...eeeeeekkkkkkk!!

Hahaha snap ceecee (once again!!!) we're proper twinnies!

My last day is 19th, although I only have enough annual leave to take me to fri 9th jan, then c section is booked for 12th jan which is when my mat pay kicks in, although I get full pay for 6mnths then it drops down to statutory for 3 (and unpaid for 3 eek!!!)

Literally cannot wait for 8 weeks to go by!!!

We also confirmed our move for 1st nov, ie NEXT SATURDAY!!!!! Yet another EEEEEK!!!!!

Gosh everyone is leaving work so early!

Bet I end up delivering my baby at my desk  (God I bloody hope not)

I am not having foof kicks anymore but I feel definite bumps to my cervix [headbutts??], never had it with James but it's a very distinctive pain. Sore, like chaffing but internal?

Odd!

X

ha ha, Carnat, like you, I'll probably go into labour at my desk.... I'll be working well past 36 weeks, unless the baby comes way early (let's hope not!). trying to maximise time off and maternity leave until I absolutely must take it.
:eh:

I am working to near 37 weeks, I work in care and do 11 hour shift so we will see how that goes :) baby dependant! Then am away to the hospital the week after due to having to be flown down at least two weeks earlier.
But yeh am the same trying to get as much maternity pay for after babys here :)

Yeee 30 weeks today can't believe how fast it has gone only 51 days to go till I finaly get to meet my little one I can't wait

I did work until 38 weeks last time- I'd planned to go until 39 weeks but came to my senses- by the time I left work I just wanted to cry!!! I was so uncomfortable and had to kneel at my desk sometimes instead of sitting on my chair so I could stretch my middle!!!!

So as I feel uncomfortable already I thought there was no way I'd make it to 38 weeks!! Plus, because I don't work Mondays I know id be made to work all of the christmas bank holidays (international banking never sleeps!!!) and they'd screw me over- no way Jose!!!!

I'll be 36w on 23rd Dec so my last 10 days will be over the Xmas / NY period so days off her and there, early finishes etc.... If it was FT until 38w I would struggle a lot more?

Going carpet shopping today, already had several melt-downs. I reckon it's going to be close to £3k??

Also we're not moving for another 3 weeks, that's 3 more weeks of paying 2 rents *sigh*

Blimey Nat!!!! That's such a lot of money!

Are the carpets bad? Is the landlord not willing to replace it?

Also, how does it work up there? Are you pretty much guaranteed a long term let so you can make it your home incl replacing carpets etc? Down here (bournemouth) it's more a case of people letting their house out because they're renting something bigger and you can never guarantee they're not going to sell it from under you :-(

We went to see our house today and I'm so in love!! We met our new landlord who's a doctor and measured up and signed forms etc. we don't usually meet the landlord so it was nice to know who we'll be renting from- I cannot wait until next Saturday!!

How are you dealing with packing? We've started today but I'm in agony already and I just don't know where to start, it seems there's so much to do :-(((

Who else is moving? I can't remember? X
