*******February mummies 2015*******

Will someone else go into labour please lol I need something else to focus on haha

Xx

Gosh I'm feeling envious of you all! Nothing seems to be happening with me, only the odd back pain and pressure down below but that comes and goes.

Yes, yes, I agree! Someone else go into labour! We're all on tenterhooks atm :P It's not even February yet lol

Im am busy making faerie wings. Every movement, twinge or niggle has me on edge. I need to take my mind off of it.
Pip, you must be going crazy because it really is imminent for you. Netflix and pizza!!

Mrs T...sorry to panic you!

In Uk I had 2 secs and he was there for both. Where I am now it's different :-(

I think generally they're allowed in as long as it's not emergency x

My cousin had an emergency section last Christmas and her partner was there with her. Think it just depends on the circumstances xxx

Phew! Thank you for that... but sorry your OH can't be in there with you.

All these plugs lol!! I've had nothing but let me tell you I feel like utter s**t. Generally feeling under weather and feel like I could cry at any moment :(

I can't believe how much they seem to make Ppl wait in induction process! Sorry your stuck waiting Pip! All these other selfish ppl having babies need to push em out and quick!! We need another Feb baby.

Xxx

I feel so wound up today. Had such a late night, crap sleep, early morning and have been soooo moody!

Kids have been winding me up, house is a mess, work is busy. All I want to do is have a bath and go to bed!

I went to be induced for DD2 and it was a JOKE! I was there 6 hours without even being examined. I went mad! Ended up having a c sec 2 days later as I wasn't willing to wait! One woman said shed been there for days!

I am so uncomfortable too, really feel like I'm lugging little miss about and it's such an effort now.

Grrrr

No progress, boohoohoo :( :( having strong contractions but not strong enough to want any pain relief yet!

I'm so bored, fed up, pissed off! Hate how they leave you in the dark. Had my second pessary over 12 hours ago, hoping the drip will work when it finally goes in!

Xx

Oh Pip it's a pi**take isn't it?!
I went to triage for reduced movement and a bruised feeling around bump and I was sat waiting from 12 midnight till 4.20am until they even checked heartbeat! Imagine if something was wrong- luckily nothing was with him but I have a kidney infection.

Anyway- the induction part is part of your labour and they should be making sure your comfy, know what's going on and are involved. :(

I hope things are better now for you and good luck hun! Xxxxxxxx

Pip, I hope there has been some movement now!

I'm 37 weeks today so officially full term :)

I've had crampy period pain on and off today but nothing to get excited about.

I decided to take my wedding & engagement rings off today before my fingers get swollen, it seems I left it a little late! A lot of cold water, soap and one very sore finger later and they're off!

Just seen on your thread pip your still waiting! Poor you hopefully be some movement tonight!

Baby c I was the same today I woke up with swollen hands, face and lips!
I managed to get my engagement ring off but my other I had to get my dad to cut it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the end I called maternity due to swelling and last time I went to midwife I had protein in wee! But she was okay and said hands and face are normal when your nearly ready!! And have no other symptoms!

I sat and watched an old series of the midwives early from bbc 2! It scared me lol the thought of giving birth!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pip, I feel for u, I had 60 hours of failed induction. The 24 hour pessary got me to 1cm. They then gave me 6 hour one which bought on contractions 3 in ten but no further dilation. They couldn't give me the second 6 hour one as was having too many contractions so could over stimulate. Waited 7 hours for them to say they would need second pessary but delivery was full - so held off, by then contractions had died off. Second pessary given, got me to 4cm so moved to delivery suite. Got to 8cm within two hours, then wouldn't go any further. They were going to do drip but then george went into distress to had EMCS. So I feel ur frustrations

Happy February...its FINALLY OUR MONTH!!!!

Hope you are ok pip and having cuddles this morning??? Xx

Yay loving that it's February!!! Although a little scared that I still have lots to sort out. At least I'm on mat leave now.

How's everyone feeling? I've been getting period type pains on and off, is this an early labour sign? My baby is unfortunately still breech but have spoken to midwife and consultant and they've said I can still deliver naturally. Anyone delivered breech before or know anyone who has? Xxx

Wahey it's February!! Bring on the babies! Cosmo I think starlight on here delivered breech naturally last time...I'm sure it was all pretty straight forward too. That's fab that they are willing to let you though!

Happy February ladies yay happy days we are all having our babies this month Helen having period pain feelings And belly keeps tighting dono what that's all About she said if it gets worse we call but baby is going crackers x

Cosmo I delivered my first naturally, she was an undiagnosed breech birth.

Really great to hear that the consultant and midwife are positive about delivering naturally.

Basically my waters broke around 4.30pm when I was 40+10 after getting a sweep the day before. I was asked to come in to check my waters had went for sure so I pottered about then went into the hospital about 7pm with about 3 contractions in every 10 mins but they weren't painful.

The midwife internally examined me and said I was 4cm dilated but she thought baby was breech so they brought in a portable scanner to confirm...she was.

A doctor came in and said I needed a c section which I reluctantly agreed because I knew nothing about breech babies, this must have been about 8.30pm/9pm

However my contractions ramped up a gear and were on top of each other.....the theatre was full with 2 x emergencies and they couldn't take me.

Basically I delivered her in a ward with the head of gynaecology who ran through the hospital to get me me lol. I started involuntary pushing so they put my legs in stirrups...called the paediatric team and told me to push, one push her body came, bum first...then one leg...then another...then another push her head came out.

She came out perfect...crying with a score of 9. The paediatric team weren't needed.
I had a small tear that only needed 1 stitch, she was also a big baby for a breech delivery at 8lb 12oz.

I was out of hospital within 12 hours....I literally could have went home after about 4 hours but it was the middle of the night.

Oh Ment to say I only used gas and air....I don't think I would have got her out of I had an epidural the urge to push was so strong that that really helped deliver her completely naturally with no assistance so that's something to think about if your going to go natural.

I loved giving birth, and I if this baby was breech I would have no hesitation in delivering it naturally.

Any other questions just ask away xx

Helen said pains are really tight x I hope this not start just hoping bh

Eeee hopefully our month ladies! I won't be happy if mine keeps me waiting until March!

Good luck if it is the start Zoe & Helen!
