*******February mummies 2015*******

Thanks ladies... Blondy, Harry does go to playgroup 3 mornings a week so I get a bit of respite then.. But there's so many jobs to be doing, but I have no energy to do them!!

I'm so torn between wanting baby here, and wanting to be pregnant!

Having a toddler already is why we'll be stopping at 2 kids- I can't imagine being pregnant with 2 kids to look after!!

Tomorrow is another day- hoping I wake up feeling good xx

Lots of love to all you ladies x

Yay loving that it's February!!! Although a little scared that I still have lots to sort out. At least I'm on mat leave now.

How's everyone feeling? I've been getting period type pains on and off, is this an early labour sign? My baby is unfortunately still breech but have spoken to midwife and consultant and they've said I can still deliver naturally. Anyone delivered breech before or know anyone who has? Xxx

Cosmo I delivered my first naturally, she was an undiagnosed breech birth.

Really great to hear that the consultant and midwife are positive about delivering naturally.

Basically my waters broke around 4.30pm when I was 40+10 after getting a sweep the day before. I was asked to come in to check my waters had went for sure so I pottered about then went into the hospital about 7pm with about 3 contractions in every 10 mins but they weren't painful.

The midwife internally examined me and said I was 4cm dilated but she thought baby was breech so they brought in a portable scanner to confirm...she was.

A doctor came in and said I needed a c section which I reluctantly agreed because I knew nothing about breech babies, this must have been about 8.30pm/9pm

However my contractions ramped up a gear and were on top of each other.....the theatre was full with 2 x emergencies and they couldn't take me.

Basically I delivered her in a ward with the head of gynaecology who ran through the hospital to get me me lol. I started involuntary pushing so they put my legs in stirrups...called the paediatric team and told me to push, one push her body came, bum first...then one leg...then another...then another push her head came out.

She came out perfect...crying with a score of 9. The paediatric team weren't needed.
I had a small tear that only needed 1 stitch, she was also a big baby for a breech delivery at 8lb 12oz.

I was out of hospital within 12 hours....I literally could have went home after about 4 hours but it was the middle of the night.

Oh Ment to say I only used gas and air....I don't think I would have got her out of I had an epidural the urge to push was so strong that that really helped deliver her completely naturally with no assistance so that's something to think about if your going to go natural.

I loved giving birth, and I if this baby was breech I would have no hesitation in delivering it naturally.

Any other questions just ask away xx

Thank you so much for posting your story, loved it and so reassuring and inspiring. I'm so looking forward to giving birth, probs being a bit naive lol but my hypnobirthing classes have gave me a really positive outlook for it and was so worried about possible c section but midwife and Dr seemed so relaxed about it. Also still time for bubs to move. Been getting loads of big movements the past few days so fingers crossed xxx

Morning ladies! Hope everyone is well and babies are still sat tight! Absolutely exhausted, had about 8 hours sleep since Friday, hoping to go home today to get some proper rest!

Not sure if you have already Zoe but could you update me on the front page.. Ruby Anne Dean 5lb 15oz 10:19am on 01.02.15 :)

Still going to stalk you lot & pipe up, because i can :P

Xx

Everyone will say the same Pip but sleep when baby does! Don't bother getting dressed and leave the housework. You need all the rest you can get :)

So, got up and went to the loo just now, coughed and lost a load more of my plug lol I'm wondering what a sneeze will do?? :P
Off to Asda in abit to do a food shop, get walking. Eviction notice deadline is tomorrow! Aahhh!

I feel crappy too.

My kids were up nearly all night, playing! At 3, 4 and 5 I had to tell them it's bed time. They were dressed ready for school and everything!

Soooo knackered today!

Well sleep is most definitely a thing of the past for me (or so it seems atm!). Seem to sleep from 11.30pm then wide awake from 2-3am until about 6am when i might squeeze in another hour if im lucky. My hips and pelvis and killing me and turning over in bed is a mammoth task :(

On the plus side the days are ticking over...MW appointment tomorrow when ill be 38+3. Im hoping she brings up the possibility of a sweep at my next appointment which would make me 40+3...

Come on flick give us another baby! Something tells me it wont be long!

So glad to hear ewan is working well brumgirl, we bought him this weekend xx

2 days left until my due date, and I'm so ridiculously comfortable! Only issue I have is turning in bed, it's like shifting a small hippo. I also sound like one too. And my hips sometimes wake me up hurting. I'm getting about 10-11 hours sleep a night and the house is pretty much spick and span Barr the washing which I've got to tackle just in case anyone has to come round while I'm in labour. Midwife on Wednesday which is my due date, it'll be interesting to hear what she thinks and what the next step will be, if he's not here by then that is!

Mrsjohnson I have a similar sleep pattern, I fall asleep fine but then wake at 1ish and every hour or so after then, and I can't always get back to sleep in between times. It's totally just preparing us for having a new born!
Brum girl we love ewan too, can't wait to use him again!
No more plug loss or signs here, but I'm only 38w tomorrow.

We need another baby xxx who's gonna be next Helen is very uncomfortable at night xc

39 Weeks today.....getting the odd very painful Braxton hicks but apart from that nothing to report.

My hips kill me through the night so barely get much sleep but apart from that I cant really complain.

Would love to go now though lol!

Ah brumgirl that's good to know, Ive got Ewan.

Absolutely loving maternity leave so far, got a spa day booked for tomoz xxx

I have been up every night for 3 days with pains in pelvis, bump aand inside like stabbing pains, period cramps and last night was the worst. I could hardly walk!
10pm till 4am then I manage to sleep.
I'm going toilet for both (1 and 2) all night and frantically checking for show or waters but nothing.
I'm getting a bit annoyed now as I hope this is contributing towards something and not just my body playing tricks.

Due date tomorrow and will have sweep hopefully! Midwife is coming at 11am. X

Baby has been so active today, only just calmed down now.
Been having lil twinges around stomach but nothing else so far. Trying to walk as much as I can around my flat.
My sleeping patterns are so bad at the moment, I get into bed at 11 and don't fall asleep till 1.30/2....

Hopefully the sweep will do something for you tomorrow Selina! Especially with all those other signs. Good luck :D It's my due date too but I can't have a sweep.

I'm finding it hard getting to sleep. Im awake til the early hours 3/4am and if hubby leaves me, could easily sleep in til noon. My body is exhausted by 8/9pm but my brain just can't rest.

I went out at 10:30 this morning shopping. Got home at half 4. Other than sitting in the car I spent hours on my feet walking around. I am bloody hoping that does something lol A sweep or induction isn't guna happen for me so need to get this baby out by any natural means!! xXx

I spent hours up the shopping centre the day before I went into labour with Alexander, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you Flick xx

My son and I both had Group B Strep infection last time which was treated with antibiotics. I have a higher chance of being infected again, especially if im currently carrying it, so having any kind of external bacteria being pushed up further towards the uterus could be serious for this baby and myself again.
It's just not worth the risk. GBS in newborns *can* be fatal :(

Ooohhhh now that's exciting! :D I hope it's done something!! I feel like I look like ive dropped but with it being my 2nd, baby can become free and drop down again anytime so it's no guarantee huh?
Midwife may be able to tell me tomorrow. We'll see ^-^
