*******February mummies 2015*******

Brum girl I'd be a bit peed off too- it's not the value of the present just the lack of effort, it just makes you feel unappreciated. Just try and enjoy spending it and at least you get to buy exactly what you need. I finish next Thursday and I got asked today what we want/need so it's fairly last min, but mine is second baby in 2 years so I didn't expect or want a fuss this time!
Becky I've heard good things about that crib, I say go for it, you and baby deserve a little luxury!
I've asked work for a poddle pod, seen some good reviews on here!
Oh and good luck with the car seat, I wrestled the covers off ours yesterday and washed them, no idea if I can remember how they go back on!!
I have a growth scan and consultant tomorrow, looking forward to getting an estimated weight!

Thanks peeps I've calmed down a bit now. I'm just sick of making an effort for everyone else and not getting the same treatment, it was exactly the same when I got married so I'm not sure why I'm surprised! Oh well as u say I can buy some nice clothes when we know the sex of baby. I was planning on making cakes to take into work tomorrow but now I just can't be arsed!
We have bought a poddle pod too blondy hopefully it will live up to the good reviews. Love the cot too becky xxx

Blondy when I read the instructions of how to take car seat covers off, they were really in depth. And the instructions to put them back on... Just say do it in reverse!!!

Hey ladies,

3 weeks today till I finish work, can't wait!!! Got our first ante natal class tomorrow, eek!!!

Xxx

Hi ladies! Two weeks tomorrow till I finish, can't wait! 37 weeks Monday... Woop! Nearly there :). Becky I have bought the snuzpod but I looked at the Chico too and it seemed very practical!

Work have pissed me off too today Brumgirl, I said bye at 5.35 and got a snarky comment about not staying late anymore after i finished 45 mins late Friday, 20 mins late yesterday and came in at 8am this morning when I start at 8.30 for a company meeting! Couldn't believe the cheek!

Theyll miss us when we're gone 😜

Havent been on here for a while. Im glad everybody is doing well and that im not the only one feeling uncomfortable. It only feels such a short time ago we found out that we were pregnant.
Im happy that you feel confident in the way you are being treated MrsT I am in awe of you.
We have decided to call our little boy Jenson when he makes an appearance, I am not going to lie I am very worried about the birth but I know this is what we have been waiting for all of this time.
This being baby number 3 but first for my oh is going to be a big life changing event for our family and is making me a little anxious/excited about what the future will hold for us.
Is everybody on maternity leave now? Im finding it hard to fill the time and relax.

Omg girls there's a thread in trying to conceive February testing thread ahhhh so close now :) xx

I think I'll be a January baby. Been moved onto insulin so induced at 38 weeks!

Urgh think ive done my back in, currently sat on sofa as bed too uncomfortable :(

Grrr.....
Im currently back in hospital for the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks.
Currently on labour watch as im 2cm dilated with cramping and tightenings. And with the way the doctor put it yesterday i could be in labour in the next 24-48 hours!! And they will not do anything to stop it as i had my steroid injections last week. X

When are you due nici? Couldn't see you on the front page. At least you've had your steroid injections.

Fingers crossed baby is just practising though x

Bricey hope you're ok, how you finding the insulin? Are you 36 weeks now? It's so close!
Nici I hope it's just a false start for you. Let us know how you get on.
Today is the day I'm finally going to finish my hospital bag, yay!

Omg all these potential early babies!! I hope things are ok with everyone. Its so scary to think about.
Im quite happy to have more than 3 weeks left, if baby came soon I'd be so unprepared :o A massive good luck to you ladies xXx

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all well!!

Im full of the cold and have been up pretty much the whole night it feels for the last couple of nights, totally knackered lol!

Feel like im starting to struggle, think its just because I have the wee one who is becoming a bit of a handful (terrible twos I think)

Oh well, will just need to solder on....only another 4 weeks to go lol x

im ok about the insulin, its needed and I will do what's best and what im advised, I just want an induction date and to know what to expect, the process etc, which hopefully I will get with my appointments next week. Next week I have 4 appointments, so hopefully by then end of them i'll have a date and an idea

my biggest worry is that I haven't heard one single good thing about induction, everyone has horror stories about it, and id like to hear some good stories!

Ooh I can help you there!
I was induced on my due date last time due to high bp. I was 1-2cm but posterior cervix. Anyway I had the pessary in at 10pm, nothing happened overnight but next morning about 8 I started with mild contractions, by 2pm they were ramping up and I took paracetamol. I gave birth at 6.18pm after only 2 hours of active Labour, I dilated from 4cm to 10cm in about 30mins! The thing that helped me was I kept active, was bouncing on the balls and walking up and down the stairs. They don't always monitor you constantly. The worst bit was the induction ward before hand, ladies at various stages being noisy meant I didn't get much sleep. But it was honestly not the horrific experience I thought it would be.

Im due on the 13th of feb.
Just seen the doc and may need to be checked again later to see if im dilating more.
If not ill be sent home so fingers crossed ill be home again very soon.
Wither that or my little bundle will be here x

Yeah Bricey I think so. My friend was induced a couple of weeks ago and even though it was just the pessery they used she wasn't allowed into the pool or anything like that.....she was still able to go in for baths and be relatively mobile though x
