February 2018 Mummies - the final hurdle

I hate being sleep deprived as well, but I am sure this one will be as much of a nightmare with sleep!

I'm having trouble sleeping as well, and sooo thirsty at the moment just had to get up to drink two glasses of water! x

Ladies, I am telling you now. Get some exercise in! It really helps with general aches and pains.

I regret giving up at first trimester but Ive started again about a week ago and feel FANTASTIC!

Ofcourse, I feel weak as anything and do evrything at a lighter weight/pace but the rewards are amazing.

If you can't go gym, then do it at home. You will not regret it.

I'm not sleeping much, I wake with leg cramps, need wee and it hurts (SPD) to roll in bed! I keep panicking about waking up on my back, stupid anxiety!
My hips ache so much from walking about in the snow in our garden. I'll be glad when it's gone completely

yeah and thisty alot more at night time right?

So you wake up to pee but you must drink to quench you thirst too.

Its a vicious circle!

Im back in work tomorrow after three weeks off! Not sure how I feel about it.... official finish date is 25th Jan and my due date is 3rd Feb. I must be mad.

wow. My finish date was 26th Jan but Ive changed it to 12 Jan and so happy for doing it.

Actually being seated all day stiffens my joints and makes me feel worse than being active.

Had my glucose test! That stuff was the most rancid thing I've ever tasted! It took all of my willpower not to barf it straight back up again! A combination of lemon and sugar water :/ ugh!! My arms really painful as it took them ages to find a vein on my left arm so they had to take it from the top of my arm! But I'm glad it's all done and out of the way! Now to sit and wait nervously for those results :)

As most are aware, I started my new job whilst I was pregnant and have been riddled with fears and making mistakes from time to time due to baby brain.

Well today I had my review bad manager is overall very happy with my progress and was very complimentary, he said he will be signing my probation off with ease whereas in the past he has extended others'

I'm so happy today

I have always been so grateful for having good veins when it comes to taking blood.. nothing more traumatic than them taking ages over it!

Glad its all over for you now x

I am an operations supervisor for a power company.

I seem to have really temperamental veins in my left arm but the one on right arm seemed to be more forthcoming..so much so..that my vein actually popped and squirted the nurse when she stuck me with the needle  we both had a laugh about that for about 5 minutes while I drank my disgusting, lukewarm, lemon flavoured ooze! I'm just so nervous for the results now! :/

How many times per night are you ladies waking up?

My average is about 5 :o

Poor you.. I’ve had 2x good nights sleep so feeling much better. 4 more days at work and then Xmas off for relaxing and I’m good to go. Hahaha

Do you have time off over Xmas?

lucky you!

I did have next week booked off but cancelled it as I really do not want to get used to the time off and then struggle to go back into work. So Ive tied it into my ML. Only 4 weeks of work left and then I am free!

I'm off 20th to 27th.

Then back for 5 days and I'm done.

(I work 3 days per week so I'm basically back for 2 weeks after Xmas)

Sebbiesmum, any issues I think they contact you immediately. Although I had my GTT on 7th and had no idea there was any issues until my 28w MW appointment on the 14th.

I'm sure they'll let you know

X

I'm so ready to finish work and I'm only 29+6! I'm planning on staying until i'm 38 weeks and leaving on 9th Feb. I had considered using all of next years holidays and finishing at 34 weeks, but I'm a Financial Controller and we have our audit in Jan / Feb, so I really need to be around for that....I'm dreading it!

Popped up to the hospital and got monitored the other day, baby was absolutely fine, but was kicking into my placenta, hence why I couldn't feel anything.

Got a stinking cold right now too, first one I've had in years! Struggling with not being able to take anything for it though.

i'm waking up about 3 times at night, and also finding it hard to swap the sides I'm sleeping on without ending up on my back.

kudos to you ladies starting mat leave around 38 weeks! Next week is my last week at work and will be using up the last of my annual leave. Mat leave starts end of Jan for me.
