ear piercing ??

my oh thinks we should get mollys ears pierced (obviously not yet)
I know my mum had mine done at 5 years but i know a few people whos babies have it done under a year whats the babies reaction some say its better younger so they don't notice and some people have said no wait untill they decide, what do you all think.

I think its something only you can decide for your baby. Its the same as me bringing Isaac up veggie, some people would think its stupid but its my choice.

Good to hear others opinions though as long as it stays friendly

I remember that thread Personally Id wait until a bit older, i have nothing against mums who have babies ears pierced I do think it looks cute, but Ithink Id probably wait and let her decide for herself.
Think Dionne had Diors ears pierced?? she might be able to tell you how she reacted.

my mate had her baby's ear pierced at six weeks. Becky just looked a bit shocked, didnt cry. not telling whether i approved or not.

am i being a bit sexist when i say that i hate seeing mum's having their baby boy's ear pierced.

I dont think there is anything wrong with getting your childs ears pierced, so I hope no-one takes this the wrong way...

I was just wondering why mums/dads get their childs ears pierced at such a young age. Is it fashion, or is it just to save them the pain when they are older??

i think the thought is that if you have a babies ear pierced then they are less likely to fiddle with it then if you have it done when they are a bit older. plus my niece wanted hers done when she was 4 and she would only let them pierce one.
