Doctor said ive had a miscarriage - but im still hopeful?

Ovulated around 10th december - af was due 23rd.

So although you have longer that average cycles you still have normal 14 day leutal phase. I would make you between 6 and 7 weeks pregnant based on those dates Xx

Due August 26th makes you 6 weeks 3 days. But of course that's based on when you ovulated. Sperm can live for several days inside of you so you could be behind that Xx

Thank you puddS sorry for the capital s my phone tried change it to puff lol :-/ stupid prediction text xx is it ok to be put 2 weeks behind at a scan? Because I think that's how far I will be put back at mine on the 14th going off my scan on Sunday just gone. I can't remember how far I was put back with my son feels like years n years ago lol. Xx
 
I was put back by a week with my daughter. With my current pregnancy I was put back a few days at my 6 week scan and then moved forward another week at my 12 week scan. As my doc said scans are not the be all and end all for dates they just help them as a guide. No baby develops the same even in utero.

I had cramps with this current pregnancy and tried not to freak out until I had a bit of spotting at 9 weeks. I got checked out and all was fine and they couldn't find where the bleed came from. So don't worry too much unless you start to pass clots etc. Besides unfortunately at this stage there is nothing that can be done :(.

If you know your dates 100% then two weeks is a lot BUT not impossible! I was put back 4 days this time and a week last time. Last time however i was proved to be right when finally at 28 weeks baby measured to my original dates and stayed that way. :-D

All that matters is your not bleeding and your pregnancy has a chance. Fingers crossed for you hun Xx

Thank you ladies. Well I was thinking back to when I was pregnant I had a private scan with my son that put me at 22nd December as a due date then I was given 17th as my due date he come on the 20th. Is it possible that because its so early on I've read they aren't accurate until 12 week scan? My dates are definitely 100% correct because I put it on my phone so I could work it out if I did get pregnant u see. 7th - 10th December we dtd/ had sex. And I think I implanted on the 19th December just because my line was sooo faint and I went on these websites and it give me a week by week where it was I can't remember now and it said something about the 19th implanting. The doctors did my hcg on Saturday night scan on Sunday ( vaginal) and they said the sac was measuring 3-4 weeks so hopefully I was near to the 4 week side. And they said that to come back as its early too confirm or rule out ectopic and to see if the sac has grown. They also told me to get a referral to my midwife & get folic acid. Not sure if they said that to just cover themselves in case I am still pregnant about folic acid & midwife but they were nice. Just want Monday 14th hurry up so bad but I'm glad I've got a date now and it gives me something to aim towards where as before I didn't have a date.
 
Sorry to post again but these due date websites are saying I'm 5 weeks or 6 some 7! But I've been pregnant since November :-S we didn't have sex in November lol !! x

Sorry to sound thick but why do they add 2 weeks on it confuses me lol!! Surely I can't be 5 weeks pregnant if we didn't have sex 5 weeks ago?! I know lmp is not accurate but 2 weeks seems a lot. I know I sound stupid sorry just so confusing :/ lol. So wish it was next weekend I'd only have 3 days to wait and not bloody 10. So want it hurry up x
 
The first 2 weeks of any pregnancy is the bit where the egg is growing on its own in the ovary :). Thats why your dates add on an extra 2 weeks from when you dtd.

Just thought I'd add in my two pence worth. It can be a bit confusing how they date pregnancies. Basically they count from the first day of your last period but this is only accurate if you have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14 which many women don't! If your cycle is longer like yours then the easiest way for now to work out how many weeks you are is to count how many weeks since you ovulated then add two weeks on. I ovulated just after you around the 13th/14th December which makes me just over 5 weeks so you would be just coming up to 6 weeks now. That means at your scan last week you would've been just coming up to 5 weeks. I think at that stage it's quite normal just to see a sac. I wouldn't worry too much that they said it measured 3-4 weeks, early scans are not that accurate and the measurements they take are so tiny that just the smallest inaccuracy can make a big difference in dates if that makes sense! Of course it would be more reassuring if everything measured spot on but I would say there's still a good chance everything will be ok and even if not at least you should have an answer very soon. Just read your update, so glad things seem to be going well. I'm sure that the exact dates are stressing you out but I really would try not to worry about it, it is so early that it is hard to be accurate with a scan every millimeter makes a huge difference at this stage so it is so easy for them to be a bit off. I've read lots of stories of women measuring off at this point and everything was fine. The important thing is that things are progressing. I bet the wait for your next scan is driving you crazy! I don't understand why they cant rule out an ectopic already. Surely if they can see the sac already they can tell it's growing in the right place? Unless it's because they can't count out a second egg growing in the wrong place?

Anyway glad things seem to be okay so far, you really have had a tough time between no one believing you were pregnant and all the headaches, tooth pain, sick bug etc. At least you are getting proper attention now. Has the sickness gone away now? It could always be the start of morning sickness :).
 
I wrote a big reply but deleted it now just a quick update went toilet 10 minutes ago I am bleeding and my stomach is killing. Rang 2 numbers I've found off google for my local A&E no answer :-(
 
Hiya hun I'm sorry to hear this, I don't think there's much they can say at this stage as I think they'll just say to wait it out and see what happens. If the pain gets too much or you're soaking through more than a pad an hour you should go to A&E. Otherwise ring EPU tomorrow and see what they say. Fingers crossed it stops soon and all is ok xx
