Chart Stalkers May 2008

Hi all,

Hope you're all well. Sorry I haven't been around much, so much has happened in the past 24 hours.

I think I posted here last week, about the left ovarian pain I was getting. Well, last night it started travelling into the right ovary and centre of my stomach. It got so bad, that my OH decided to get the Doctor in Call out. Me being me, refused but surely enough the doctor arrived.

He did a preg test first which came up neg :( :( :( To be honest though, I'm glad it did as the doctor said my symptoms were those of an ectopic pregnancy.

Well, next was a urine test for infections and none were present. The final diagnosis really, was "stress". Can't believe that like, I'm so annoyed at OH for wasting a doctors time like that, especially given the fact I'm seeing my own GP @ 12 today.

:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: Not a good day for me at all today. I still have the pain shoot through me every now and again, but its not as bad as last night.

Sorry for the very long post, I will be stalking all of yous before I go the doctor.

PS: My temp moved up a little, at least that some good news :( :(

Phew not so many pages as I thought. First on a complete me, me, me angle can anyone work out what on earth is going on with my chart? I know I've temped at funny times and it doesn't help. But I'm having awful cramps and shooting pains. I feel like AF should be here but nothing. I've never cramped for 2 days before AF. According to FF I've another 3 days to go. But I'm usally 25/26 days. It's so painful. Plus 2 dips what's that about. Oh well I thoroughly enjoyed a week of eating, drinking and sightseeing and wasn't getting up at 6:30 for anything. :shakehead:

Back to stalking.

Firstly welcome Lisa-marie and Locachica. Hope your feeling a bit better locachicha.

ROM Fake fake fake!!! Only kidding! Reading those posts one after another was great it was like an episode of Jeremy Kyle without having to wait a week for the DNA results. :rotfl: :rotfl: Hope AF or a BFP is on its way for you.

Sookie - looking good. FX

Welshpolly - I hope Nelson is okay. I missed Bruno terribly whilst away. He's back driving us insane. Good news about the tests all being done so quick. Did you go private? I can't remember. My doc is dragging his heels about resending me for test.

Kitty - still missing you. Hope DH is okay and that everything is well with you.

Shellbnam - is that an Implantation Dip?
Chill - looks like one for you too.

Loola - glad AF is on her way out. I was using my phone to see if you got your BFP but couldn't reply as it costs too much. My heart went out to you, I hope you're feeling more positive now. All this waiting sucks doesn't it. Any way we want to be special and be a BFP in May don't we?? Anyone can have an April BFP!

Skairdy I hope you catch that egg this time.

Tasha - FX this is our month. According to last month we should both get our BFPs together having the same initials. I'll try my best.

KayKav hope you're okay. Not heard from you in a while.

Hello to anyone I've missed

Gonna go get my lunch. Not sure what to have really.

back from fab hols. Hope everyone is ok, flat out catching up so will catch up with the goss and stalk later.

Think AF is on way today. Temps rubbish, usual AF symptoms and neg HPT. :-(

Hi ladies after a very eventful weekend and managing to stay off the wine I have weighed today and have lost 7lbs - 1/2" off my bust 1" off my waist and 2" off my hips!!!!! I am thrilled - did take a tuna salad on the boat with me yesterday so cheated a little as well :D

Hi everyone  Im still here, Ive just been trying to keep away from the PC and been spending time outside in the fresh air and sun!

ROM - bloody hell! Thats a hell of alot of weight lost! Well done  Are you feeling ok? Not too hungry?

Chill - glad you enjoyed your hols. Hope AF doesnt get you

Trudy - sounds like you had a great time on hols too! :cheer: Your chart is a bit difficult to read but the dip on day 8 could be very promising, especially with the cramps. I am sincerely hoping and praying this is it for you!  I reckon that May will be the month for us long term TTCers!

Locachica - all that pain sounds nasty hun  hope it has stopped now? TTC can be very stressful. If at all possible try and keep your mind on other things too, I know thats easier said than done, but from experience I know that TTC can take over your life and cause arguments with the people you love the most due to the frustration. Remember it doesnt have to happen immediately, we all want it to of course but it can take time.

Welshpolly - so sorry to hear about your poor doggie! :( Any news on him? Hope he will be ok. Best of luck with your test results hun  Yay for your Cheri prediction too! 2 months isnt long away at all! I hope she is right for you

Sookie - Your chart is looking lush hun! Fingers crossed for you and your hubby  How are you? Feeling ok?

Kitty - Hope you are ok? Your chart is looking lovely too. How are you feeling?

Tasha - Good luck for this month! You may have not got much BDing done but it only takes one time for it to happen! There are enough teenage pregnancies in the world to vouch for that!

Lisa-Marie - how are you? Do you think you have ovulated? Its looking good anyway!

Hope everyone is well and had a lovely Bank Holiday? I had a lovely weekend all in all. My OH has given up smoking!! :cheer: Operation baby making is in full action!! We had a weekend of really living it up, drank loads of booze, he smoked alot, we ate loads of really unhealthy food, I ate an entire tub of Ben & Jerrys chocolate chip cookie dough icecream to myself whilst watching the film Big yesterday afternoon :D Today the diet and healthiness started again, yesterday was our final blow out. We went for a lovely walk along the Marina and had a peek at our wedding venue. It gets me so excited!

After last months drama I promise to be alot more chilled out this time, no symptom spotting and no hysterics!! No POAS until after AF is due (if I get that far). I guess we should start BDing really, If I can ever drag him away from Grand Theft Auto  Good luck everyone!

Fabulous news Loola.

ROM - well done on the weight loss.

Chill - hope you had a good hol

Well AF is here. I'm actually ok with it. Here we go again.

Sorry AF got you Trudy  Sorry if this sounds really nosy but your luteal phase was really short this time, I dont know about your TTC history all that well, have you seen the Dr about your shortish luteal phases? Is there a medication you can take to make it longer?

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks that. I've told the doc but he seems to think it's perfectly normal to have one of 10 days. I keep telling him 10 days is the maximum and I tend to spot a day or 2 before but no go. I'll just have to wait another 6 months and see if I can get referred. I'd love to go private but can't afford it.

Apparently vit b6 can help but I have a reaction to vitamin B so would need to find a natural way to take it e.g in food. How are you? How are the wedding plans?

It's so quiet in here at the mo.
:(

Hi ladies

I've been thinking about charting a bit and when my doc recommended it he said to take my temp every day but to make sure I'd not had a hot or cold drink b4 taking it. Making me come to the assumption that he think's that taking it as soon as I woke not necessary.

I may do an experiment this month and see if FF can still pick up my OV day if I take it after coming downstairs but b4 having a drink. I get up the same time every day and if I take it when I come downstairs after just getting dressed and waking the kids, the temp should be following the same pattern it did when I took it straight after waking shouldn't it?

Did that make sense? I mean if temp rises after OV it'll still be raised no matter what time of day won't it? I'm not going to take it after doing housework or anything lol. But surely if all I've done is get dressed and come downstairs and do the same veery day it'll balance itself out won't it?

Don't know why I'm doing this 'experiment', just bored I guess :rotfl:

Woohooo!!!! Just looked up Niacin reaction which is what I had and it's only to Vit B3 so I'm off at lunch to get some vit B6. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Hi Guys,

Trudy - you could try a natural progesterone supplement. I used one for a month but then it ran out. It's just herbs and stuff. Or you could try a cream. If you are interested PM me and I can pass on more info about the supplement I used. Sorry AF got you again

WelshPolly - so sorry to hear about your doggie. That's awful. But it sounds like he is in good hands and while an IV drip and IV antibiotics are not good, it could be much worse. So hopefully hell be home really soon (if not already?)

Hi to everyone else

Well since it's 5:20 in the morning and I am getting ready for work I'm not going to stalk. Sorry  But I will say that I have been symptom spotting! Yesterday I had some mild cramping in my lower right abdomen. I hope that's promising. My nipples are sore. And my temp went up a fair bit today. Please, please, please let this be my month!

 just popped in to see how everyone is doing
trudy sorry af got you, i had a short luteal phase as well my dr didnt seem to want to do anything about it, so i ordered some natural progesterone cream off the internet and it seemed to lengthen it by a couple of days with first cycle but you need to wait until you are sure you have ovulated before you start using it, and its good to carry on using it during first tri. good luck it may just be what you need.

sookie cramps are good :D

rom  well done thats alot of weight to loose

loola well done to your dh2b for stopping smoking  how is he doing with it, my dh keeps saying he will stop, but there is always something to keep him going, a works night out  , the football  a traffic jam

Thanks Babydust! He's doing ok at the moment but then its only been one day! He will still smoke when the football is on - as Man Utd is his only real passion in life and they are in the Champions League final and its the last game of the Season on Sunday there is no way he would be able to not smoke for those games. I dont mind that though as its got to be better than 20 a day hasnt it!

Trudy - I really hope the Vit B6 works or the cream if you decide to buy it.

Sookie - Oh I so hope the cramps are a good sign for you  I think I will actually squeak when you get your BFP! :cheer:

Skairdy - I really dont know if the temps would be accurate after getting up. Perhaps they could be if they are taken at exactly the same time, but it really depends on how much you have done before taking the temp. I have experimented before and taken my temp immediately after waking. Then laid in bed doing nothing for 20 mins, no drinking, no real moving around, but been alert, Ive then taken my temp again and its been hugely different just from being awake, so I really dont know how it will work. It will be interesting to see though :)

My OH gave up smoking a few months ago. He went to an hypnotist. Over the last week though he has had the odd fag  . He said he's going back to the hypnotist after we come back off our holiday on the 16th.

Oooo only 5 more sleeps till we go away :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks guys. Sometimes I think I'm just looking for something to blame but my doc can't see a problem despite the fact I had a CD21 blood test which came back too low for me to have OV'd but FF temps showed I clearly had. I tried to explain this but he won't listen. Just thinks it's a matter of time and nothing else. :wall:

hi not sure how to do the chart thing would be grateful if someone could advise me plz, what a fantastic site "access diagnostics" is, ive been buying 1st response ov kit £20 for 5 tests, will be using this site in future thnx

Hi Rene

Basically to do the charting you need a Basal Body Thermometer. You need to take your temperature as soon as you wake up if possible, before having a drink, getting out of bed, anything! It should be the very first thing you do. You ideally need to have had at least 3 hours consecutive sleep for your temperature to be reliable.

Once you take your temp, write it down somewhere or try to remember it and then if you want to do like we do, get yourself a Fertility Friend (fertilityfriend.com) Account and add your data in there. You should start taking your temps on the first day of your period when it is in full flow, not just spotting as that is day one of your chart. Your temps should start off low and then once ovulation has occurred your temp should rise and stay high until you either get your period or a BFP! :cheer:

loca - I'm sorry about the pain and the doctors - I hope you're feeling better now

Trudy - sorry AF arrived. :( How annoying that your doctor won't listen about your LP :x

Chill - welcome back! Sorry AF caught you :(

ROM - You're doing really well! :cheer:

Loola - fab your hubby has given up smoking! :cheer: Good Luck - I hope this month will be the one!

skairdykat - I always thought it was when you got up but it's definitely worth a try! Good Luck! :)

sookie - lots of babdydust!

Rene - good luck charting! :)

Last night, Nel came off all his drips and is now on oral meds! His bloods came back fine except for raised white blood cells, which would happen with an infection! We are picking him up tonight when Rich gets home! :cheer: I have missed him so much!

The diet has been on hold as I have been comfort eating but thankfully my weight has just stayed the same! Back to it tomorrow! :D

I hope everyone is ok - it's a lovely day here with the sun shining :D

Hi all,

Mind if I rant first? No? OK :) Thanks.

Right I've had a weird week. I went back to the docs with that pain yesterday, and it's STILL there!!!

It's a pain like, that seems to be spreading upwards. My doc is closed today. I'm on ponstan for the pain, that was there yesterday and the day before. It seems to be spreading upwards, and I get back pain only in the mornings.

Anyways, ye he did swabs (cervical) and we all know what waiting around for results is like.

My heads in a right mess, I know that everything will more than likely be ok with the swabs, but its this pain. CD38 NO AF!!! Not like me at all!! I've never had a cycle this long in my whole life.

I'll be updating this, once I've started stalking yous :)

Welshpolly - I am so glad Nelson is okay. now. I know how stressful a pet being sick can be

Loola-Brilliant that your OH is thinking of giving up smoking!! Well done to him :)

ROM - I hope your life is calming down a little now love. Well done again on the weight loss :)

Chill - Welcome back and I hope alls well with you

I'll get the hang of reading peoples charts... soon. I have to repeat my FF charting course as I only got 70% last time round :(

I do hope everyone else is ok today. Keep smiling, enjoy the weather and baby dust to everyone

Sorry for my rants, I'm finding TTC very stressful :(

Hello all

Welshpolly - Glad to hear Nelson is on the mend (by the way like his name) I have cats and some guinea pigs and it is so distressing when they are not well so I truly understand

Loola - My hubby has given up smoking this month - it has been hard as his mood swings up and down - it was a stress release for him so i'm trying to keep his mind off it!

Trudy, Chill - Sorry AF has arrived sending you all lots & lots of baby dust to you both

Sookie - Fingers crossed keep us posted

Rene - I started charting this month & joined the stalkers in here - it has really helped me to understand more. This is a whole new world to me I have been so niave about it all as I don't have any friends or relatives with children so nobody to really speak to I just thought it happened! Good Luck!

Trudy - Thanks for the welcome - this is a great thread and a real help to look at other peoples charts - sorry AF arrived sending you baby dust too

Well I have also started using OPK's this month as well as charting and have had four days with faint lines and today was noticeably darker but not as dark as the control line so think I will OV soon.
My cycles since trying have been 28/32/35 so this could explain it being later than I or FF originally expected

So going to watch the Apprentice on TV and then get BD if I can get my DH of his PC!
