***August Mummies Final Hurdle! ***

Nicki: that is true. During my first pregnancy I always said I'd only do this once. Hours after he was born I told hubby maybe I do want a second baby :-)

Hope you two ladies are doing well and things picked up in the night x

Pessary has done nothing really apart from expelled my plug! I am currently next on the list to go round to labour ward for waters breaking and the drip to increase contractions... hopefully it will be soon! I did have a point in the night where I was regularly contracting 3 in 10, but I hadn't dilated, not one diddly squat! Now just having some very very painful irregular contractions!

Summer I hope you have progressed more than me!

Trust me girls, you totally forget the labour thing as soon as they are born, let alone after a week! Yes I might have stitches that sting like a bitch every time I wee but I can't really remember how they got there  honestly babies keep you so busy as well, the week has absolutely flown by! I can't actually believe he's a week old already, it makes me quite sad how quickly they grow up and change - he already looks different!

I am so glad the pregnancy texts have stopped with the people asking! I feel for you receiving them Nicki it's annoying! I hate it when people go on and on about it, as if you aren't already anxious for it to be over!!

I don't want us to all separate after we have delivered, we need a new thread for us in baby and toddler I think! Lol xxx

Sounds good lexi a thread in B&T. We can all keep in touch then. Cant believe George is a week already. Time does fly, India will be 3 weeks on Friday.

Sorry things hasn't happened so far kirsty, hope you have more luck with the drip. X

Wow a whole week? That's gone fast Lexi xx good luck kirsty!!

Nothing here at all just back pain.. For my wife obviously!

Back pain seems to be good. Just got back: 3 cm dilated, fully engaged head and soft cervix. She told me it will be soon now, doesn't expect me to get to the weekend. And I'll get a sweep next Monday if I want if baby hasn't arrived by then (but she doesn't think it will be necessary).

Very exciting Flo, hope she's right and you have your baby this week x

You guys with your babies already will still have to keep checking in here though, I need your support as I wait for this baby!!!

Flo exciting! I've been turning down cervical checks but this Friday at my appointment (my due date) I'll ask for one and a sweep, too. Cause I'm over it.

Lexi: I totally agree we should keep in touch. It will be nice to chat at the baby and toddler topic during night feeds and share things like first laughs etc...

I'm thinking it's for tonight though it may still slow down. I'm having contractions every 4mins now! Gonna try if a bath slows it down and else we're calling family to come babysitting. I'll keep you all updated!

I'm at hospital, 4 to 5 cm dilated now, trying to sleep a bit before labour starts. Can't wait to hold my baby!

Good luck Flo!

Harper has been awake for over 2 hours now and just screaming every time I leave her room. India is pretty unsettled too and keeps waking. I'm so tired and fed up. Wish that at least harper will go to sleep so I can settle India properly x

Flo when is/was your due date?

My due date is Thursday. At this rate maybe I'll still get there ;-) you said you had 1 labour without water breaking I thought? Well mine haven't broken yet and I just don't feel pain. It's just like I'm having my period. The monitor tells me when I have a contraction and I feel something but it's not really painful. I hope it does amount to something... If it does, I love this ;-) but otherwise I don't, I just feel so bored at the moment and have no idea if anything's really happening cause midwife left me to sleep... Lol, never thought I'd say I'm bored during contractions!

They broke my waters with my son and it was all go go go from that moment x

Yeah breaking your water makes things move fast but it's also agony. I'd take a slower more comfortable labor over that any day!

Good luck ladies! MrsB is today the day??? It's still Monday night here in the US but I'm assuming it's morning where you are...

Can't wait for an update from Summer!
