***August Mummies Final Hurdle! ***

That sounds very eventful lexi, sorry you had a tear again I know you was hoping to avoid it.

Glad all is well with George though, and 8lbs 12oz is a fab weight, that's what Liam weighed :)

I bet you are glad to be home as a complete family x

Ah Lexi so nice to hear your story and glad you are all settled now.

Not much to report here ladies. Had the propess in at 1220 and then I've had crampy / achy back since about 4pm. It almost feels like trapped wind. Not sure if it's mild contractions or not I'll ask the mw when she next comes around. Oh hasn't long left. I feel so emotional and alone now and there's some doughnut in the bed opposite me that's been told she's not contracting but is acting like she's in full blown labour and has bee for a good 3hours now. It's driving me mad!

I'm not sure I'll sleep much tonight with oh being at home and me in here. I'm so worried he will miss it. I will be devastated if that happens. He's assured me it won't but we only live a 10min drive from the hosp so he'll be here in no time if anything does kick off.

I hope for your sake kholl you don't go too overdue and baby comes whilst you have help at home.

Sorry to hear it didn't go to plan lexi. At least its done and he's here now, no more waiting! Hope things settle down for you with the visitors, the first few days/week is so manic! Xx

Aww, is she screaming every now and then?
I was stuck in a bed next to a lady that kept hissing at her baby after I had my son and I really wanted to slap her lol.
At least husband isn't far from the hospital, I hope it all kicks off soon for you x

Sorry to hear not much has progressed for you yet summer. Are you allowed to walk around etc? That must be horrible that your OH has had to go home but I'm sure he'll make it back in time. Are you on a ward or side room? I had a side room when I was induced, dont think id like to be on a ward! I'll be checking for updates tonight whilst doing feeds, really hope your not waiting too long. X

Why was she hissing at her baby?! Lol x

Hello all!

Propess is in but hasn't made a dot of difference... yet... got a few ladies around me waiting to go to labour ward to have their waters broken, but all is normal for me! I think I will be waiting for labour ward tomorrow, I am literally so excited to meet my little man!

Cervix was nice and soft, but posterior and not dilated, which makes me think I will be waiting until tomorrow!

Hopefully things start moving overnight!

Hope things start for you soon! X

I have no idea, I think she thought she was supposed to. But she did it all night long so nobody in that bay got any sleep x

I will also be looking out for updates when I get up for my many toilet trips in the night x

How weird, and annoying. X

It was, and opposite there was a Chinese lady whose baby was under a heat lamp, she kept taking baby out but not wrapping it up warm and if she wasn't doing that she was cowering over the baby but blocking the heat lamp. I lost count of how many times the midwives told her baby either needs wrapping up warm or being directly under the lamp.

I quite enjoyed the people watching that you get to do on the wards lol some people are literally bonkers x

Aww you are 41 weeks tomorrow, have they got a plan in action for you?

I sincerely hope that when you wake up in the night it isn't for a pee x

Hissing at your baby. That's a new one never heard of that before:rofl:
She's not screaming but she keeps breathing in and out reeeeeeeeeealllyyyy slowly and heavily and whimpering.

I am on a ward. There are a few side rooms but I wasn't given one don't know what I need to do to get one lol but I'm in a room with 4 beds in but only me and one other are in this room as the other 2 got took down to labour earlier on.

She sounds like a drama queen, I hope you get moved to labour before she does because I bet she will be a screamer

Some hospitals charge for a private room I don't know if they all do, mine does, I was hoping they would feel charitable to me as I'm having twins and they might just give me one but I'm sure they won't lol x

Being on a ward full of women is what worries me most and hubby not being there, my hospital charges £150 a night for a private room! I'm very tempted!

MrsB I have another sweep Tuesday and she said that we'd talk about induction then, she did mention that it wouldn't even be book until next Friday :(

Surely by then they are pushing it time wise?

I wouldn't want to be in hospital away from husband in that situation our hospital is a 40 minute drive away, plus once he's asleep no matter how many times you ring his phone he won't answer lol he's a really deep sleeper x

That's what I thought, if they don't even think about booking me until Friday I'll prob be going in at 42 weeks exactly. I'm just trying to tell myself that it's only a week and then he kicks my bladder or stretches and i think oh not another week!

We're about 30 mins away but if it's rush hour it can take up to 1.5 hours, I dunno if I have a private room whether he'd be made to leave. I'm Lucky he's a light sleeper but he wouldn't sleep he'd probably sit in the car!

Our hospital only has private rooms or rooms for 2 and if the double rooms are full you don't have to pay the extra money for a private room. I was lucky to have one last time and hope I'll get one this time too if I have to stay the night. Over here hubby can stay 24hrs/24 if you have a private room.
Kholl, I feel your annoyance. It's so difficult to keep patient and i'm also starting to think I'll go over, cause we August mummies seem to be all blessed with such nice tummies babies don't want to leave them. Everyday there's something new and I think 'yes, maybe that's a good sign' and I go to sleep and wake up the next morning without anything... These last week's are just so frustrating. I really hope your baby comes before your family leaves, you can really use the support!

Lexi, sorry to hear you had such a long and eventful labour. Good to hear you're all 4 doing ok and happy now :-)

KirstyLeigh and Summer: fingers crossed things start soon for you. I do hope you get another room, summer, your roommate doesn't sound as much fun. And don't worry, your oh will get there in time I'm sure!

That week will feel the longest though :(
I'm glad I'm in on Tuesday as I couldn't cope with another week of being pregnant.

We are the same with rush hour traffic, I have to go to the main maternity hospital in the city centre and we don't live in the city centre lol. I always thought they wanted baby out by 42 weeks so it makes no sense to leave you that long x
