***August Mummies Final Hurdle! ***

I too am on a 4 bedded bay, two of the ladies have been waiting for around 5 hours to go to labour ward to have their waters broken, and one of them is genuinely making things up to try and hurry up the process of getting round there... well when there isn't a bed love you have to wait! Annoyingly, I am in the bed next to the toilet, which means everyone is going back and fourth, hence me not getting much sleep, plus they have not long woke me up to listen to baby!

My oh went home at around 10, I had just had an hour of monitoring, and had been contracting beautifully, around every 6 minutes, it has changed to longer between now, but they are painful, which to me means that we are getting somewhere!

I am going to see if I can get some more sleep! Summer I hope things are starting for you hun x

Sounds like there is some progress going on, I hope you get a quick cat nap or 2 in

You are doing fab :) you will have baby in your arms by the end of Monday I am sure x

Fingers crossed there's some babies in here today!

Happy due date to me, my little man has showed no sign of wanting to leave as of yet!

Happy due date, Lullie!

I'm having back pain since yesterday evening and feel nauseous. Not sure if I dare to hope that's a good sign... Probably just some extra discomfort. I'm really glad we have each other for support on here! Wouldn't be able to take all the teasing of my body so lightly without it!

Does anyone have something nice planned for today? I started crocheting a pair of baby shoes for winter, will probably work on these today as there's no cleaning left to do and we have some leftovers to eat tonight... And then we'll go to our hopefully last appointment (the next is at 5 days overdue so I still dare to hope I won't reach that ;-))

Oh wow Lexi! I'm glad everything worked out OK x good luck ladies who have been induced!

Wifey has some nausea and back pain but nothing much else going on. Due to her disability she gets a side room with a private toilet/bathroom. Our hospital allows the Oh to stay with them so that's not an issue although I'd be staying with her anyways. We live around 3 mins from the hospital so no issues there.

Michael x

Hope you two ladies are doing well and things picked up in the night x

Michael: let's hope for us back pain and nausea are good signs! When is your wife due?

Hopefully! She is due next Monday - but consultant appointment on Thursday and he said last time that he didn't want her to go over her due date, growth scan shows him at around 7lb5oz 3 weeks ago - so he gave her another 3 weeks to see if she goes on her own otherwise induction is planned for next available 'slot' which could actually be Thursday morning - but I'm guessing it'll be on the weekend.. either way this is our last few days as a family of 3!

Michael x

Me and this baby are going to be having serious words if he ever shows up!

Thanks ladies!

Fingers crossed for you Nicki!

Is anyone else ravenous? Just had 3 slices of toast a hour ago and I swear I could eat at least 3 more haha

Thanks Hun, yep I. Always starving these days which ain't a good thing for me :(

My wife said to me this morning, and I quote:

"I want Muffin, Yoghurt, hula hoops and a kitkat for breakfast' - to which I obviously obliged! She was a happy wifey! She ate everything except for the kitkat which is silly as chocolate is better than crisp! :)

Thread hopping but I've been eating more this week and DH has suggested it's a pre-labour thing lol

Had terrible tummy pains last night and thought could this b it? No such luck just had a clear out sorry TMI and have bad back so sat on ball getting a numb bum lol got dentist at 2pm then no other plans this week mum goes on holiday on Fri for a week so really was hoping baby would be nice and turn up before she goes as it will be much easier re childcare but I just know she will come while they are away

Hoping it's not to long for you Mictho, promising signs! I'm torn between being terrified of labour and getting this all over with, as I'm so bored just waiting for for something to happen!

Happy due date Lulie! I hope it happens for you too, I don't think you should be terrified of labour lovely, trust me when it comes it is a massive relief! Once you feel that contraction or your waters break it is just such a massive relief. I was soooo happy to be getting contractions, yes it is uncomfortable but our bodies are designed to do this, and it is incredible that we are able to get a baby out of such a tiny little hole lol! It is utterly amazing. And when they tell you to push you know you are about to meet your gorgeous baby! And nothing in the world can beat that moment :D

I wonder why our August babies are a majority overdue haha I wonder if they like it extra warm in there in the summer.

Thanks for well wishes by the way, I am so glad he's here and we can finally get on with having a baby! Hes a diamond baby too, we went out for the first time today and it was really nice to actually get out xx

Ahh, thanks Lexi, I almost teared up at your description there! Hopw you're enjoying your newborn cuddles, George sounds like a little angel! :)

Lexi, I'm totally expecting to feel relieve when i feel something because at the moment I feel like my body isn't doing what it needs too. George sounds like he's settling in nicely, is it true you kind of forget about labour when the baby comes?

If one more person says 'you must have made him too comfy' I might cry!

Ahh I know Nicki, people are starting to get onto me too now, including my neighbour who sent me a message as my husband's car wasn't in the drive on Saturday night, when he was infact out catching bloody Pokémon with his mates!! :dohh:
