August 2020 Mummies

Oh I hope you get a wee day rest here and there @mummybear2, as it is alot for you having twins and wee girl to look after. Yeah take what you have to, to help with daily functioning.

Well back from scan... All amazing baby measuring big but daddy is big so my doctor wasn't surprised. All perfect with heart and brain and spine just all growing way it should... And we agreed not to find out but didn't even need to be asked. We both saw what we are having  :shhh: ..... :rotfl: xxx

Awww thanks Natalie. How are you? Hope all is going okay and no more spotting or anything for you. Can't wait to hear how your scan goes. Always a worrying time esp if hold off until dating scan as I did that too this time. I know I think we were meant to know. Xxx

Oh god. The pain in my groin/pelvis. It’s like every single ligament/tendon and muscle has just given up and it is so so sore and uncomfy to walk or even move my legs. I mean what even, I’m only 19 weeks! I’m going to be in a wheelchair by the time I have these babies!!
Anyone else have this!? I think I remember it with my first but not until after 30 weeks.

Hey ladies, hope your all ok, and as well as can be :)
Bit of a question just as to how everyone is feeling about all this virus stuff? there is word of schools here all shutting and there’s nothing left in supermarkets and things, I fee like I am only realising this is turning into something more serious than I first expected. Just wondering what’s happening with everyone else with us all living in different places if there is different situations? Sorry if your all getting sick of hearing about it haha but I don’t know any other pregnant women so this is my only place to express any concern haha Xxx

Hey I too have been getting far more aches and pains this time, especially lying in bed and such, hoping it’s just at a high level early and doesn’t get worse, but thinking that’s maybe me just being hopeful. And can only imagine how you are feeing with two. Try and rest as much a possible and you could always ask midwife, they might refer you to physio. Xxx

I amn't concerned for me which is crazy.. More for my family that are older. I spoke to my consultant about it and the good thing is that if I was to get it the baby gets the antibodies from me although hopefully don't get it but if gets bad looks like majority would get it.
That is the annoying thing...So much going out if shops and if they have to close alot of places. I just try to not let it worry me just now but not saying if escalates like Italy I will stay so calm haha xxx

I’m not worried about getting it. Luckily me and my daughter don’t have any underlying health conditions so we would be fine. The worst part would be the self isolating. It isn’t any more dangerous for us to get it in pregnancy so that’s a relief.
The shop situation is a joke and it is just the selfish people who are panicking who are making it harder for the rest of us!
Hopefully it doesn’t get too crazy but no doubt it will with all the scare mongering going on.

Thanks ladies. My next appointment is in 2 weeks, so I will mention it then if it doesn’t calm down. Still feeling it today.

Yeh I think my main worry is now there’s nothing left in the shops I don’t know where I stand haha with being on an island they are threatening to stop all in and out which is scary haha, also my dd has asthma which worries me as her breathing is bad at the best of times. But I guess I just have to stay positive that with her being a child she will be ok. I am not really worried for myself, it’s mainly the isolation, closures and lack of shopping haha as well as a good few close relatives with health issues. But hopefully it’s a worry for nothing :) xxx

my other half was just googling my stomach cramps right at the bade of my bump feels like someones pulling my belly apart.... just ligaments stretching apparently. and dw ill let you all know :)

tomorrow <3 2:45! and @mummybear2 i think its being blow out of proportion i know its not nice that people have died but more have died from common flu this year than coronavirus.... i think if you dont have underlying issues then your completely fine xx

I think you should be approximately due but could be few days earlier etc.. Ask at scan tomorrow. You can normally see baby moving around at 12 week scan and everyone is different when to feel kicks etc but 21weeks isn't too early and it is the best feeling isn't it? Can't wait to hear how you get on tomorrow and for you to see your baby again... <3 xxx

I don’t think you’re too early to be feeling anything. Everyone is different.
With my first I didn’t feel anything until 22 weeks and I was so sad about it because everyone else was feeling it a lot sooner.
This time I was about 15 weeks.
Dating scans are normally pretty accurate so I think they probably got it right!

Good luck at your scan tomorrow, are you wanting to find out boy or girl?

My scan is Friday. I’m not going to lie, I am terrified that there will only be one heart beat. Although I’m feeling lots of movement and am way bigger than last time etc still have the scared what if feeling.

So it looks like all the schools up here will be closing after the Easter break until after the summer holidays. I am devastated. It’s my daughter’s last few months at nursery before she goes into primary 1 and I feel like since she is already so young she will be missing out on so much and it will really overwhelming for her come August. She will be 4 1/2 when she starts, and they no longer do half days. So straight into 9-3. Could cry just thinking about it!
