*** August 2019 mummies ***

I get it constantly too, the only thing I find really helps is gaviscon double action liquid, I have the mint one. I've got a bottle in my bag, my bedside drawer, my car lol. It helps for a little while x

Thanks I haven't tried the liquid yet might give it a whirl. Polos were my saviour yesterday. Had one on the go pretty much all day and seemed to keep the worst of the burn at bay x

Oh my god just realised I didn’t get any notifications !!!

Heartburn : I tried gaviscon and all sorts of things.... the only thing that works for me is ranitidine twice a day prescribed by my gp. Wish I tried it earlier and it’s just magic!

Prenatal classes : I missed out on the nhs ones as it was 4hours each spread over two sessions which my partner couldn’t attend anyways.
We have gone to the NCT ones (paid for it), have met a lovely bunch of people and learnt a bit of things. The lady is lovely. She talks mostly about what we actually want to know. The other couples are there to make friends as well so we are all on the same page! We live less than 2 miles away from each other... already had a barbecue organised all together yesterday!
We also had a women only session during which all of our partners went for a meal together and talked about everything but babies!
Highly recommend if you can still find something near you.

I looked into NCT but haven't managed to find a super local one yet. That being said an old colleague of mine is super involved with NCT a little bit further north from me so I might just tag along to some of her things as they do good walks and stuff. Hopefully I might find one nearer to home but a lot are based in Newcastle so cover quite a wide catchment area.

My village is good for mother and baby stuff though so hoping to figure out which ones of those are best.

Just hosted a family bbq to thank the in laws for having us to stay during house works. Was nice playing host but I'm shattered now. I am pleased this is my final week at work. Just 5 shifts to go! And I'm due exactly one month today...eeep x

How's everyone coping? The forum doesn't seem very active. Are we going to buddy up, we did this when I was last here 9 years ago . You exchange numbers or contact info with your buddy so they can inform forum of labour/birth incase you're unable to. :) x

It is quite here. Though doing good, bit uncomfortable but to be expected. I actually finish work Thursday and have my final growth scan on Friday.

Turns out I’ll end up with a July baby though as I’m being induced on the 24th at 38 weeks due to my medical condition.

Excited but seems crazy he’ll be coming those couple weeks earlier

Oooo are you ready? I am slightly envious of those being induced or having sections as they know when to expect a baby, I feel so unprepared. Not that I'm suggesting it's easier because I know it's not. X :lol:

Coping is the word here !!
I feel good most of the time but since this week I just get absolutely knackered and it’s want to lie down!
I have a consultant appointment tomorrow. First time... we’ll see what it’s all about and I am crossing fingers for a scan !!
I have a feeling baby is breech...... I am fairly certain what I feel under my ribs is a bouncy head!
I am imagining the most medical delivery until the medical team tells me otherwise so far :p
So if I can have a natural birth it will Be a nice surprise !
I am 33+3 days today so I believe baby could still turn though......... hopefully !!!

I have started annual leave this week and damn it’s so good !
I noticed I est way less being st home than being st work ! Hopefully that will slow down the weight gain a bit !!!

I’m still waiting to find out if I have to have a C section.

Went to a concert on Sunday night, maternity shoot on Monday and another tomorrow and baby shower on Saturday. Starting to think I need to slow down at 31+5. Still got 5 weeks left at work thou.

Awww not long to go now, how exciting! x

I'm the same as you all, just feeling uncomfortable now, especially when trying to get to sleep at night. Can't believe how quick the last few weeks have gone, scary but exciting! x

I don’t know you but...
it started feeling sooooo quick when I went over 31 weeks !
Less than 10 to go the final countdown it’s so weird !!!

I feel like the first 12 weeks were so slow cos I was so anxious after trying for so long. Since then it's just got faster and faster.

I'm in no doubt that the last couple weeks will slow down. Especially with stopping work. But I have plenty to keep me going round the house and if the weather stays nice will spend as much time with the horses as I can as I'll no doubt have to take a week or 2 break when baby comes.

I feel like bubba will be late...I've always thought that since my original date from period was the 4th august despite my measurement scan changing the date to 30th july that I will go over in some way shape or form x

I also think baby might be late, as original date going by my period was 29 August but it got moved to 24 August based on scan measurements. x

I felt so unwell last night, if it wasn't so early I would have though things were starting. I felt sicky, had period like cramps and awful lower back pain. Seems to eased off a lot so far today luckily! x

Oo exciting emma I haven't had the slightest twinge yet. No braxton hicks or any back pain. Just the usual baby movements and a foot to the ribs now and again.

Plus the Joy's of some fun constipation on and off. Never been so happy to have a straightforward poo in my life. Lmfao! Pregnancy is so glamorous! Xx

I got quite a few braxton hicks but nothing painful so far for me.
Had a straightforward poo and felt the same haha soooo happy I wanted to celebrate !

Baby is stretching I think at times so I get all regular movements and all of a sudden my belly turns into some weird shaped thing and it’s almost hard everywhere. As it happened in front of the doctor yesterday I said look! That happens a lot I wonder what she’s doing in there!
And the doctor said that looks like baby is having a stretch ;) and seemed very relaxed about it.

Its mad isn't it when you can see them moving like that. So freaky but awesome.

I've made my peace that normal bowel movements are a luxury and will be for a good few weeks to come I think lol.

Feels weird that it's my last day at work tomorrow. Gonna be strange only having the baby to focus on. Work has distracted me so much so far c

Wishing all you ladies good luck! I will be stalking this thread loads in the coming weeks! I can't believe you're all about to have a baby soon!:cheer:

I had my final growth scan yesterday. He measured a bit small so they did some dopler readings and I saw the dr/specialist after as well (was already booked in to see them anyway cos of my colitis). Luckily he’s only under by a very small amount and only on one of the measurements, so they wasn’t worried and I got discharged from needing any more scans or antenatal appointments. Also he was head down so seems like he’s getting ready too.

Next step is my induction! Just over two weeks to go until the date. Can’t believe it as it comes so quickly. But I’m excited.
I’ve officially finished work. My maternity doesn’t actually start till the 22nd but I’ve used the last of my holiday for two weeks.

Now I’ve just gotta distract myself until my induction day!

I think we are gonna be in this together @Hearyoume I finished work yesterday too. 3 weeks hols before mat leave kicks in. I'm due 3 weeks on tues coming.

Got growth scan this coming wed....hoping that's my last one but I've only had 2 tape measures from midwife and got bounced through to growth scan both times so I dont know whether they will just keep an eye still. Although nothing has been wrong at all. I just think tape measure doesnt work well for me.

Last night I was looking forward to the chill time and to nest a bit. This morning I'm uncomfortable and thinking crikey I could have 4 weeks still to go if I go over and I feel like I cant get any bigger! Xx
