I am also suffering with PGP now. I’ve ordered a support which is suppose to help and have the midwife today so will see what she thinks.
I was doing ok with it resting etc but now I’m back at work and that’s harder.
I'm looking at a band, how you getting on? Any recommendations x
I'm in agony xOnly got it today so will let you know
I don't mind stabbing my own finger, I just hate the idea that come D-Day some person who has never met me will see 'Gestational Diabetes' on my file and sign off on changing my birth plan or doing extra texts on my baby when it arrives.Atleast you’ll get more scans with it though? If you’re only testing twice a week that’s not too bad at all.
I doubt they’ll do much testing if your borderline. I’m not sure what tests they do on a baby but I’m presuming it’s just finger prick tests a couple of times? I’ll and next time I go to my appointment.I don't mind stabbing my own finger, I just hate the idea that come D-Day some person who has never met me will see 'Gestational Diabetes' on my file and sign off on changing my birth plan or doing extra texts on my baby when it arrives.
If I honestly thought there was a danger then obviously the extra tests would be fine. I just hate the idea of my wee girl being jabbed and prodded and bled unnecessarily
HeyLadies who are having pains and discomfort - have you tried if a TENS machine would help already? I just ordered one for the labor, but perhaps it could be used beforehand too?
I have one my husband used it for tendinitis in his ankle, and it does state not to be used unless in labour or advised by a medical professional.Hey
I've read that it's not advised to be used prior to labour as can stimulate contractions.
Also heard they work great for earlier stages of labour though, so that's good
Starting to not enjoy this pregnancy. 8 weeks left but possibly six if they induce me at 38 weeks- which after yesterday I’m sure they will.
Got to work and was sick, after two hours of non stop I sent myself home. Slept most the day but whenever I woke up, ate or even drank water it was coming up within again minutes.
Partner rang 111 who got me in with an emergency doctor- didn’t see them till 12.45 at night, who then admitted me to hospital with severe sickness and dehydration at 1.30 I arrived there.
Lots of blood tests. Urine samples and being put on a IV drip I was finally allowed hole after keeping down a small bit of toast, got some tablets I have to take to help settle any more sickness.
Been having small bites of strawberries on and off all day - mainly slept as I was still awake with tests at 5am. Then slept at the hospital 6-8am.
Finally drinking without anything coming up. Just had some noodles and small amount came up after but not a lot. So hopefully it means I’m on the mend but many my ribs and sides hurt from all the wrenching
Thread jumping a little but I would say it definitely sounds like some kind of bug. Especially since you’ve slept a lot too. Hopefully it will pass within a day or so!Sorry to hear about your nausea! I wonder could it be a stomach bug or food poisoning of some sort? Sounds so intense and sudden.
Sickness wise I’m better but the pain I’ve had since Saturday to my ribs and back is unbearable. Literally can’t move without getting a shooting pain and no matter how I sit or stand im in constant pain. Had to call in sick today and waiting for my doctors to open to get an appointment because I can’t keep up like this and I need to actually get some decent sleep.

So sorry to read how rough you are feeling @Hearyoume
Take paracetamol and rest as much as you need! Work is optional and you and baby are coming first !
I’ve had back back pain recently as you aid shooting pin just trying to move. Saw n osteopath who said baby is taking a lot of room and the diaphragm being pushed is causing the horrendous back pain. So take it easy!
Let us know how things are going. Sending you lots of love!
