*** August 2019 mummies ***

Going to give them a call tomorrow. I have checked online and with a friend who has Diabetes, and my result is bang on the borderline result. Given the implications I'd rather have the test done again then have to stab myself 6 times a for 3 months! Not to mention being checked yearly for the rest of my life!

Thread hopping but what was your result?

Yeah it might be worth retesting if your results were borderline. Sorry you’re having a rubbish time at the moment.

Had my 28 week midwife appointment yesterday, baby is actually head down which surprised me as I feel a lot of movements low down, he must be head butting me down there! Hahaha. Measuring on track. X

Did anyone feel rough after their whooping cough jab? :(

I didn’t feel rough but my whole arm was sore for a fair few days afterwards.
I feel like tired and going for a nap. I have no energy left at all (not that I had a lot before but still!)

And yes the arm is getting sore :-O if I don’t feel better I might have to take the day off work tomorrow :/ I am a right less ! I didn’t anticipate that!

My arm was really achey and sore for a few days after x

I have not got a jab yet - nobody even mentioned one to me! When should I get it?

Yes they said up to 32 ideally but anytime before baby is born is better than none :)

Your midwife should have told you about it. There is a drop in clinic at my local hospital, probably worth calling your GP to find out where you can get it done. X

I had mine done at 20week scan. They asked if I wanted it at the hospital. Midwife asked me on first visit too.

Same had mine done at my 20 week scan at the hospital

So I saw the specialist at the antenatal unit today. Mainly because they want to check how he’s growing. Going again in 4 weeks

However, there is a chance that I’ll be having a July baby as due to my medical condition they’ve booked me to potentially be induced on the 24th!

Late to the party ladies sorry!

Cant believe I'm the only yellow stork on the list! Def a month of boys and everyone keeps guessing boy for me cos of how I'm carrying. But genuinely we just want happy healthy and more than happy either way.

My house is totally upside down. Kitchen now finished but bathroom in bits. Flooring goes down this week so hoping and praying for now more gliches and that we will be close to getting straight at the end of this week.

Then I can finally do the nursery and sort my hospital bag and basically get my head in mum mode cos by then I'll have just over 6 weeks to due date! Eeep!

I'm pretty well still in myself sorry to those of you having a rough time. I'm just getting odd days where I feel like I'm been slammed into a wall. But a bit of rest and seems to pass.

Just 3 weeks left to work but over 4 weeks cos I have a weeks holiday after next week with parents visiting. So mum will be in hyper grandma mode as it's their first grandchild for my rents x

So they wouldn't re-test :/
I've since done 4 days of testing at home using the blood-sugar kit they gave me and have been within the guidance every time, even following a night out with pre-ordered food (Creme Brulee!). I can now reduce to testing twice weekly.

Basically, their 1 borderline result means I now have 'Gestational Diabetes' written on my file, whereas my 9 good results counts for very little.
Still not happy about it, but at least with each test I can throw an 'I told you so' their way, and that's always fun lol.

In other news, PGP sucks... Anyone else feel like they need a sling between their legs for support?!

Atleast you’ll get more scans with it though? If you’re only testing twice a week that’s not too bad at all.

I am also suffering with PGP now. I’ve ordered a support which is suppose to help and have the midwife today so will see what she thinks.

I was doing ok with it resting etc but now I’m back at work and that’s harder.
