Mummy midwife- Good thing you called up the shops. I hate going out and not finding my size. Glad to hear you are feeling better than yesterday, I hope tomorrow is even better. Dh's blood test went fine (hard for it not too lol) will get the results later in August when he sees his consultant.

After a night of almost no sleep, I was able to get a few hours during the day today - Yay! Lol Hopefully tonight will be better. Having to get up once an hour to wee (tmi sorry) only to discover it's because of pressure and not really having to go is getting a bit old lol.

Hi ladies this might be tmi for some, I'm a bit worried I just went to loo and when I wiped I am bleeding. It light like the start of a period n there was a little on my panty liner. I never had this in late pregnancy what should I do?
I have been dr today to as I was itchy and have thrush could it be because of that?

Mummy bear - is it like discharge blood? Maybe bloody show or if you have thrush maybe you have cut it somewhere but that would look different on the tissue. Get a mirror down there (if you can) and see if you can identify the bleed. That's what I did when I bled twice recently - panic stations, only to discover I was cut!

It looks like people can post again with is great!

Mrs M - glad you asked for time off earlier, it's hard work going into work preg as it is but you sound like you have a lot on.

My pressure is so so bad I'm sure this bubba will come soon. Can a baby be fully engaged & still wait a week? Haha. I haven't slept very well tonight because I've been so so worried that I will go into labour in my sleep & not realise until it's too late! MW said not to walk to hosp (5 min walk away & over a bridge) but DH doesn't drive due to his epilepsy soooooo ambulance it would have to be & I'm not sure if they would class it as an emergency! So that's been worrying me. Then DS decided again that 4:30 was morning for him. So I've just been lying on his low & uncomfy bed for the best part of an hour trying to get him to fall back off to sleep. Now back in bed & wide awake myself. Wondering whether to just get up & make his birthday cake!!!! Xx

Mummybear- if it were me hun I would call delivery and ask! It could b bloody show or it could b something else! Either way I would want to at least speak to someone! Hope u r OK!

Coco- I don't know whether your baby would wait another week with the way things r going!!..... Try not to worry about the night time labour and not knowing or about the ambulance thing! If that's what midwife has advised then that's what u should do!..... Hope u get to catch up on sleep later!..... Ethan woke up early this morning but he has one of those 'gro clocks' and we tell him he can't get up until the sun is on his clock (he doesn't always oblige willingly but it does help!) Xxx

Morning ladies,

Mummybear i would def call for advice if nothing just to put your mind at ease.

Ooh exciting coco if you think little one is coming very soon. Love the labour threads and waiting for news. Also try to sleep as much as you can, you will be woken when in labour lol.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Im glad the weather has cooled a bit - well to 25! lol. Managing to not feel as pathetic and play with toddler. I had awful night getting to sleep just in so much pain with hips and well everything now.
Has anyone else got painful toes/fingers? I think its from the swelling but its so painful.

Chloe had an hours lie in today which was lovely so made up for not getting to sleep until gone 2 x

We have a gro clock too, set to 7am for the sun to come on but yeah, like Ethan he doesn't always stay put! It's usually 6:45 he gets up which isn't too bad but 4:30 was taking the mick! Managed to get back to sleep at 6-8 and we had to wake DS at 8:30 for nursery!!! Hmm yeah I'm not sure she will wait. Had cramps early this morning like period pains but have since gone. I'm actually struggling to work out now if they are period pains or bowel pain! Been going more often which is another sign...! Yeah, I'm sure the pains would wake me up, they deffo did last time but as it's all a big rush to get to the hosp ASAP this time I'm panicking. Any more signs for anyone else? Who will be the next to drop???!!!! Xx

Hello :)

Feel tired but ok today, waiting on the midwives to come round for the heel prick test... I should feel thankful that they come to the house everyday but sometimes I just wish we could have a lie in but having to get up and get dressed, tidy up for them coming is a pain when you have a newborn!

Sprk I was annoyed at getting up for a wee and then a little drop coming out grrrr try rocking side to side , sometimes that takes the pressure off the bladder and tubes and the pee can flow better.

Mummy bear I hope you got yourself checked and all is ok? Hope so

Coco I am sure you would wake up hun, just be as prepared as you can, leave everything near the front door etc so you can rest your mind a bit about the possible rush. I am sure it will be ok and just call the ambulance, they will not question... Many women come in to the hospital by ambulance for small things like a urine infection etc so you being labour believe me is fair enough :)

Hansam, my toes got a bit sore last week , also thought due to the swelling , although no pain now my feet and ankles are still swollen, and so is my tummy for that matter :(

Mum2b, that clock was a life saving measure for Aaron who was an early bird, it just made him understand it wasn't playing time yet ! He still wakes up early now at the age of 7, 6:30 he is walking about the house, getting breakfast etc so some things never change lol

X

Morning all! (Just about anyways lol)
Hope everyone is doing good. Finally got a decent night's sleep. Still exhausted though. Had a lay in ( sorry to those who got up early!), shower and then vacuumed two rooms. Think I need another shower now lol. Will be checking back in later when my energy is back up :-)

I've got a feeling mummybear is in labour! Unless anyone has heard from her? Reckon the blood might have been her show!!.... Will wait and see and just hope she's ok!.....

No major signs for me just the sharp lower down pains and pressure! Keep wanting to wee for England but not much coming! I tend to rock around and it does help a bit but never go as much as what the pressure makes u feel like u do!!

HanSam- my hands and feet ache when I bend my toes/fingers from the swelling but I wouldn't say its painful- just uncomfy!

Almost August now everyone and our official month!! Eeek- v exciting!!

Mummy_midwife- The gro clock has def been of help- as a reasoning tool if nothing else! Ethan is an early bird though and not much I can do about it! Even if he goes to bed late he doesn't sleep in! Think that's y he still needs a nap nearly everyday! Will def b missing that when he stops altogether! Xx

Finally a bit more awake now :-) Played with the pram/carry cot and think we finally have it figured out. I bought it off a call worker, is she didn't have the manual, but for £30 for it and lo's cot, I couldn't turn it down lol. Still getting lots of pressure but no sharp pains unless unless I try and walk around too much. We have scan 7 tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see how low she really is.

I hope everyone gets a good nights sleep tonight.....we all need it.

Hi all. Hope everyone is OK, glad you got some sleep sprk.

Starting to get fed up now, but thinking I must do more to get this baby moving - have bounced on ball, but not much else. Think I might make OH come with me for a big walk up on a scenic ridge near us this evening, rather than just our usual stroll down to the canal.

MW appt tomorrow, shall I accept a sweep if she offers? Till now I've been of the school "he'll come when he's ready" and don't really want to find out that my cervix is unfavourable, that'll depress me no end. Any thoughts (that's if she offers, I'll only be 40wks)

If it was me hun I would leave it coz I wouldn't want the disappointment! But that doesn't mean u should!! I will have one at 40+10 (which is the first they offer it here I think!). If u go in prepared for them to try and not b able to then perhaps u should? Xx

Sorry I didn't post, I keep forgetting whether I've posted here or facebook, I don't know which to use.

I was just a little rip like someone had said there wasn't loads of blood so I had a look and I think it's cos of the Thrush and BV I am really sore and it's just tore me a bit. I was worried but baby is moving fine and didn't have anymore during the night so this morning I have used the pesserie dr gave me for thrush. I can't believe all the little things I've gotten in this pregnancy. My feet are a mess developed fungal nail infection and verrucas but dr wouldn't prescribe anything.

Baby gas moved down too, even OH noticed this morning, without me mentioning it. I managed to sleep to last night which is nice. Had a lot of the stabbing in my bits and tightenings when I'm walking. When I sat it's taking my breath away.

Just had a total meltdown tho, crying so much when I rang OH and told him, I felt like a total idiot the reasons for me crying are ridiculous but I felt heartbroken.

Looks like everyone is getting closer tho, lots of pains

Aww glad it wasn't anything bad hun (although horrible having the infections!) I didn't c your fb post til this evening! .....I've been the sane on the crying front- our hormones r doing all sorts right now- don't b too hard on yourself about it all xxx

Aw girls , so know how you feel :( we're all nearly there as a group!

Mummybear só glad everything is ok, well as ok as it can be, pregnancy is not easy. Don't be too hard on yourself, totally fine to have meltdowns!

Mum2b, I had to stop Aaron's nap because he was starting nursery so never got to the point of him giving up, at least you know Ethan will be in pre-school for a bit, that will keep you sane, by the time I walked back from dropping him off Emily would be asleep in the pram and that way I knew I could get a bit of a break. Well it worked most days that is!

Sprk great price for your stuff, I thought I had it all sussed but no still had problems getting pram to collapse when out with Ísla :(

Kaffee, as it has turned out I haven't needed a sweep in my pregnancies, wouldn't have done it with the other 2 but would have it this time if the time came just because I found pregnancy incredibly hard! If you can go with an open mind that nothing will happen if you have it done then I think is fine? But hard not to be disappointed if it doesn't work. Hope the appt goes well either way!

Day 6 has been good, lots of feeding, full boobs, tears but love my little bundle , completly in love with her
X

Thanks ladies. I think I need to stop working I'm so tired but need the money. I got my letter through and I'm entitled to £27 a week maternity pay. Bloody ridiculous.

Sound like fun with Isla mummy midwife. How has your other one been with her. X

How far are you now mumtobe? I'm getting confused who is who on fb

£27 a week? Oh no, is that based on your avarage earnings? It sucks :-/
My other 2 have been absolutely amazing , they adore their little sister!
X

Mummybear- its my dating scan due date Thursday and my LMP due date Monday! I'm 39+5 in the midwife's eyes today!

Mummy_midwife- yeh, Ethan's start date for pre school is November 3rd so when this little one is 3 months or so he will start there 2 mornings!..... Going to b v strange for me as have looked after him by myself most of his life! I'm sure once he's settled and going 4 mornings (from January) I will welcome the opportunity to only have one to contend with! Lol!

Sprk- hope scan goes well tomorrow hun! Let us know x

Hoping someone is going to pop soon! Its all getting quite exciting :-)

I need to pop I'm in so much pain it's unreal. Went in for today's trace and baby is still happy. Shame his mummy ain't blahhhh xxx
