*****August 2014 Mummies*****

I have also found a temporary use for my baby bath until baby arrives............. An extra wash basket :-) comes in useful when you have two baskets Gil of ironing but still need to wash last weeks clothes. Think I might have to invest in an ironing service to get on top of it, can't stand for long enough to do more than a few outfits at a time

The bath sounds like a good idea, we don't use our bath. I won either 2 hours of ironing or cleaning at a charity thing last week, wife cant wait to use it but can't decide which one to go for.

Hey all.
Really struggling with back ache and top of the bump ache today :(
Saw my baby niece today love spending time with her she's just adorable!!
Happy 30 weeks to me!!!
Hope everyones okay today & had a lovely weekend!

Get a big pile of ironing going then get them in, or make the house really dirty then get them. Need to make sure ur using there services

That's a great prize Alan! I'd go for the cleaning!

Happy- just posted in your journal!
London was good yesterday- weather initially bad but then lovely (if a bit hot!)..... Was soooo knackered when I got home though :-/

One more week until my holiday now :-) V much looking forward to it but also a bit nervous- really don't want any baby dramas whilst we're away!
Also not looking forward to the long car journey- but we do tend to make several stops since its such a trek from here to Cornwall!....... When I get back I'll b just over 35 weeks and it will all b getting scarily close!!!

Hope you've all had a good weekend xxx

Hi everyone

We've had a lazy one and I can not stop sleeping!! Getting a new bed tomorrow, upgrading from a double to a super king, not often we treat ourselves but desperately need more storage (old one was 4 poster basic cheep number, new is a 4 drawer divan). Should hear back about new house mon/tue, whilst I can't be arsed moving (lazy/sore) it would be for the best so please keep fingers crossed :)
Alan, that sounds great! I'd definitely go for the cleaning. Silly bits like skirting boards I want to scrub but can't!
Also love the idea of baby bath as a washing basket.. Though I'd probably fill that and still run out of space, lol.
London break sounds lovely mum2b, and your holiday will be fine I'm sure. You'll come home and baby will be here before you know it.
Has anyone heard from mummymidwife recently? Not seen her around, hope she and baby girl are ok

I need another shopping trip, v quickly outgrowing maternity clothes no way I'll last another 10 weeks. Bit gutted though as I'd much rather spend money on my little man!! Xx

My wife can't find maternity clothes anywhere. She's tried various places and none of them seem to have a maternity bit.

Hi Weezy- nice to hear from u!..... Will keep fingers crossed re house!

I'm in touch with mummy_midwife- she has been having a break from the forum.... .she's ok, not having the best time but baby girl is doing well!..... I'm hoping she will come back on here when she feels ready but I'm sure she'd b grateful for u thinking of her xxx

Thank u both- really hope the holiday is good! Def need it before little man arrives! Xx

Aw Alan I didn't realise your mrs was struggling.. H&M in East Kilbride (beside Debenhams) have a decent range I've got a few bits from. Forever 21 in Glasgow is fab but only if you can be bothered going into the city (I sent a friend in..) Also New Look up Glasgow Fort is fairly decent. I have 25% off vouchers for use in there this month (only that store) but would be happy to post you some if she'd use them.

Glad to hear she is alright, please send her my love

Xx

Morning guys,
Hope everyone had a fab weekend.
Bit of a scare on the way back from the school run this morning, it's literally a 5-10min walk and halfway there I got an awful pain at the bottom of my bump, it was like stitch but 10x worse, took my breath away & i couldn't walk properly. It was SO painful I had tears in my eyes. I'd forgot my phone too! I had a lay down when I got back & it subsided, thankfully. Ouch tho!! :(
I'm getting a little tired of strangers in the street commenting on how huge I am, & their response when I tell them I still have 10 wks left when they ask how long left. Yes I'm well aware how big I am, thanks for the reminder. Eugh. Sorry, I'm on a whinge this morning lol.
I posted my 29 wk pregnancy update yesterday if anyone fancies a nosey - my blog link is in my signature.

mum2b - Aw you're holiday will be lovely, a chance for a bit of R&R with a change of scenery, Cornwall is beautiful. Hope I didn't miss anything regarding Mummymidwife?! Hope she's okay & comes bk to us soon!

Weezy - Dont apologise for sleeping, you make the most of it hun :)

alan - My best maternity finds were purchased online. Places like Boohoo, ASOS, New Look.

Happy- that sounds v scary! Hope its all still ok!.....U didn't miss anything with mummy_midwife- she just wanted a break from the forum for a bit! She is ok but got a lot going on at home at the mo!

V annoying about strangers commenting on bumps- think I might start lying about it soon!.... I was in Tesco this morning and the lady behind me was pregnant- heard her telling her friend she only had 9 weeks left- she looked tiny!.... I was glad she didn't ask me how long I had to go!!..... Even though I thought she was tiny I wouldn't have said it to her- I didn't even know her! Her friend said she looked tiny though!..... Bumps come in all shapes and sizes- y can't people resist the urge to comment?! X

Thanks Weezy and happy i'll say those places to the wife.

Oh dear mum2b I know what you mean. It dosnt bother me really just some people don't think before they speak. I was in asda today all flustered and bad back and bump ache and the check out lady thought I was in labour lol. Made me giggle and her face was a picture when she heard I had 11 weeks left lol xxx

Have been shopping today and got a crib and bedding set. Feel a bit happier he has somewhere to sleep. I feel so unready and unorganized compared to all of you.

Evening all. I'm sooooo with you on the "how long have you got left" questions, esp' at work. A colleague said to me today "how long have you got left at work", me "4 weeks", him: "will you last that long?" - cheeky git.

Getting fed up working now, none of my work maternity clothes are comfy and the commute on the train isn't much fun. Think we'll end up driving and I'll wear leggings everyday the last week if it's hot.

The heat is making everything harder isn't it?! Been so unconfy today and my feet are all puffy! Sleeping tonight will be difficult :-/ Feel like I shouldn't complain about the sun but heat and being heavily pregnant don't mix! X
