*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Camilla- your poor parents! I uses to work on acute stroke at the hospital as a physio- those mini strokes r scary but great he has no lasting damage and they should b looking at and trying to control all his risk factors now too!..... Your mum must hate having that boot on in this heat! Hope she doesn't need it on long!
I'm alright hun- just praying I don't have to sit waiting for bubs until 42 weeks like last time!! Lol!

Sprk- that's not too long is it- she shouldn't care really and b glad u r working until end of term!

Harspray- great re measurement being normal! 2/5's is good!! All good progress :-)

HanSam- my post wouldn't work earlier on another thread! Its all v annoying! We have stayed indoors mostly today too! BBC iPlayer has featured heavily today with cbeebies stuff! (Ethan won't sit through a film!)...... Later this week looks awful! Possibly 29 degrees! God help us! Xxx

Mum2be Chloe has never sat through a film and only in the last month or so got into the tv at all!! So just trying to introduce her to different things. She has watched bits and bobs of it whilst generally playing or misbehaving.

x

Lol! Glad its not just Ethan then! A lot of my friends say the only film their kid will watch is Frozen! Even the boys!..... I'm tempted to buy it! Lol!

Oh really, interesting may well be worth ago lol. Quite alot of my friends kids watch lion king and such but i suppose they are all different x

Harspray- lucky you! Glad your lo is a reasonable size. I had a scan last week and mine is measuring a normal head but large tummy. The consultant keeps muttering that she can't really be that big, which worries me to no end lol.

Has any admin got back to anyone or explained what is going on in the forum? Anyhow, I am scared to write a long post just to loose it, so will just update on what I have been up to.

This morning had chiro and wow, I feel so much better. It is exactly 1 week since I 1st saw her and the pain has improved loads.

Saw midwife this afternoon, all is good, baby's head is on the brim of pelvis as I thought (couldn't be sure as can't get the right angle on my own tummy lol ). She confirmed they will come out for my homebirth after 37 weeks although the gases and delivery box may only get to the house when I am 37+5 ...

Then had the nurse coming to house and digging deep into my emotions but feels so good to just talk about it and be understood :)

x

Ps: I love frozen , one of the best films :)

Aww lovely photo Lanny - such a cutie. Congratulations. Look forward to hearing more when you are settled x

Massive congratulations Lanny!! Beautiful pic :-)
Hope u r both ok xx

Mummy_midwife- not heard a thing! I lost a post earlier too, and I hadn't been having any problems!!
Glad chiro has helped u so much- must feel such a change in a week!..... Sounds like bubs is quite low then now and things r getting ready- she just needs to hang on that little bit more for the home birth :-)
Glad the nurse is still helping- so glad u have support!
I think we r gonna have to buy frozen! I have seen about half of it and liked it- everyone raves about it too!

Had a bit of an energy spurt today after a good nights sleep with only one toilet trip!! So I've gotten a fair bit done! BH's coming as usual and some a bit sore but nothing major! Got pressure in my lower pelvis around coccyx and lower tummy and feel like my bump has grown even bigger! Wonder how much more it will go in the next few weeks!! Mw Thursday for me at 38 weeks- days gradually ticking by! Xx

I wish someone would clarify :(
Just glad i can post again though. Yes so glad chiro has helped too as was a bit worried was all going to be a waste of money, but it has made a huge difference to the pain levels, seeing her again on Wed for some acupuncture :) anyone suffering with PGP I would definitely recommend it!

Baby is low but not in the pelvis yet, I too hope she holds on til Saturday at least :)

I love frozen and the music is so great too, although Emily sometimes just sings it all day and it does my head in when she does that... But Even DH could probably sing the main song lol BTW Aaron never sat for any longer than say 20 minutes watching tv... 30 minutes at a push with his fave programme until he was just about 4 and that was still getting up and playing with a toy at the same time. Whereas Emily could sit watching a whole Disney movie from when she was just 2.

I used to be so jealous of friends telling me they could put a film on and chill for an hr and half :/ but no had to give him loads of attention whilst heavily pregnant and that was tough as he was so active...

Hope you are ok x

Thanks hun- Ethan def sounds v much like how Aaron was! He will sit still for a bit but most of the time he is up and playing even if the TV is on! Its been ok today coz I seem to have gained some energy! Other days its really hard- but i knew it would b when i signed up for round 2! Lol!..... Not looking forward to just how stupidly hot it will b here Thursday/Friday coz all I want to do is sit infront of a fan and not move!! X

Mummy_midwife - so good that the chiro is helping you! I saw one after I had Caleb because my back was totally wrecked and it helped so much, I had deep tissue massage, therapeutic ultrasound and medical acupuncture and it was amazing, something I'll definitely be doing after this one when I can!

mum2b410 - The weather is making everything so much harder isn't it! Carrying in the summer is horrible, I so wanted a Spring baby haha!! We took Caleb to the cinema today because I just wanted to be in a dark cool room! I'm one of the lucky ones who has a child who loves watching films! He saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 and loved it so much bless him. Made a nice change from the Lego Movie, he saw that at the cinema too and now I have to watch it at home at least 4 times a week :wall2:

U r lucky with Caleb there! Wish I could take Ethan to the cinema! Lego movie 4 times a week seems tiresome but at least it keeps him entertained for a long stint!...... Yeh- Summer being this big is really hard! We weren't at this point first time round and summer was hard enough then with only being 6-7months gone!! X

Yeah tiresome but comes in very handy if I need an afternoon nap! He likes to lay on the sofa under a blanket - even in this heat - and won't move until the end credits! He goes through phases with his films, it's been Lego for a month and a half, before then I had months of Puss in Boots every day and before that it was Despicable Me! He likes Frozen as well but I find that so annoying that I try and discourage him!

Ugh I hate thinking back to my last pregnancy, we had just moved into a little rented house with huge south facing patio doors and our furniture hadn't been delivered. I was spending nearly every day sat on a blow up chair with a foot spa full of ice and a fan on me!!!!!

Congrats Lanny.

34 wk scan today, baby had slowed down a bit but consultant wasn't worried and said we didn't have to go back, if the midwife is worried we will be referred back. All good apart from I felt so lightheaded during the scan I had to sit up, i felt so sick and so light headed it was awful. My mum said I went so drip white she was frightened.

Was okay after I had a sit up. Been the same for a week but consultant just said I need to slow down and calm myself after my mum brought up the blooming house stress
