Hi hon,

I'm sure you'll be fine if you are feeling the same as before and if you've not had a heavy bleed. To be honest there will be very little the GP can do at this stage - from what I remember from tri 1 it is likely to be a case of sitting it out. I remember people doing further tests to help reassure them. I'd say it would be very unlikely you'd cause yourself to mc this way.

Try to rest and relax, easier said than done I know but unless you are having lots of pain and blood you are probably fine. xx

Heya hun, have just spotted this thread and thought i'd chip in. The almost exact same thing happened to me, a little mishap with a vibrator. I went inside but not too deeply at all and when I was done, the whole thing was covered in blood (TMI sorry :S ). I rang my MW in a total panic and she said to ring her back if it hadn't settled within a few hours. The bleeding stopped being fresh, turned pink, then brown, then stopped and when I went for my 17 week appointment (3 weeks later!) I heard babs' heartbeart stong and regular. All in all, the bleeding did last about a week but it was all old blood.

I really hope this is just what it is for you hun, just do what my MW told me to do, rest up and keep an eye on the blood, i'm sure that you just nicked a blood vessel is all. When I came clean and told my OH what had really happened (I lied to start with, was soooo embarresed!) he rolled around in hysterics and he still thinks that it's massively funny now....

Thanks for all of your support ladies,

My discharge is now a dark brown almost black colour. Spoke to my Gp and she called maternity to see if they would do a scan but they said at 5 weeks it would be too early. So I still don't know if I've lost my baby or not.

I don't feel pregnant anymore,my boobies aren't sore now. I just don't know. I have a scan on the 23rd to check if the cysts are still there, so unless I start bleeding heavily or the cramps become more painful I won't know until the 23rd. I'm thinking of looking into getting a private scan,not sure if they do any here in Aberdeen.

My best friend is with me, I've been crying on and off.

I will let you all know when I can. Thank you so much for your support

i know it not a help but you wouldnt hve seen alot anyways yet it too soon to more than a little smudge on screen hb takes a few more weeks which should take you till your scan fingers crossed for you xxxx

aww hun really feeling for you. I had a scan at 4 weeks and all you can see is a sack. wont tell you anything other than you started on the pregnancy steps. HB shows around 6 weeks. I had one at 6+1 and i saw a very faint HB but not all show early on. I'd say keep ur money safe and hold on for a couple more weeks. i know its hard i was the same, wondering if it was still there as doctors thought i was having a miscarriage too. Keep strong. My symptoms came and went during my first 6 weeks.

Well my boobs are sore again, I hope thats a good sign. No more painful cramps, just very mild ones I had before. Still some discharge when I check up there which is very dark brown but hardly anything. I feel a bit more hopeful but I've lost the excitement I had. I won't be excited till I see my baby and hear the HB. I'm glad I have that scan on the 23rd, its still 2 weeks away. Just want that excited feeling back, I feel a bit deflated at the moment. Really tired, tried to sleep earlier but couldn't so I've been lying in bed most of the time.

You're support and advice has meant alot to me. Thank you

It sounds, from other peoples posts, that this may be normal. And it can only be a good sign, you are still feeling your pregnancy symptoms from before, like sore boobs, mild cramps, etc.

I know how you feel about the private scan - ive booked one for me, for next week, when I will be nearly 8 weeks, but im having to travel about an hour. Im sure you will get that excited feeling back - the whole of tri 1 is so worrying....

Just have lots of rest, and keep your feet up. You have support from your friend, and everyone on here, for when yoy are feeling down

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I also had bleeding in early pregnancy almost constantly when I wiped from 5 weeks through to 10 weeks, then two larger bleeds between 10 and 11 weeks. Everything is fine with baby though, so bleeding in pregnancy doesn't always mean that things are going to go wrong. I totally understand what you mean when you say that you have lost the excitement you had about the pregnancy, this is exactly how I felt. I was frightened to even think about my pregnancy because I didn't believe everything was going to be ok. I know it is so so difficult but you have to just hang in there. I am sure everything will be ok!
