I cannot believe how fast time is going, may is over, June is busy ... Finish work on the 28th June at 29 weeks , got the lounge to decorate too but ideally I want to be baby ready by the beginning of August just in case. Still have a few bits left to buy too. Looking forward to a rest though x

p.s - midwife has been wrong previously on heartbeat, she told me my first was a girl and he was a boy xx

That's what I thought!! Think she just wanted to have a guess... Some people might hang on to that though!! Xx

I think it all adds to the excitement though doesnt it

My first all the "myths" pointed to girl - except the heart beat which says boy - and he was!

This time I didnt bother I was too busy counting down the days until my 16w appt to find out for sure

But no harm guessing and speculating, theres only a choice of 2 so not loads to guess from

I was wrong both times tbh. My "feeling" sucks. I guessed girl first time because I really wanted a boy - this time I guessed girl because my pregnancy has been so different. I literally sat shocked when I found out - probably a little more happy at boy but still shocked!

We are staying team yellow, I'm guessing it's a boy, but my entire family think girl, so we shall see what happens on D-day!
Can't believe we are having a baby, is this annyone else's first?

Had my midwife appt today and thankfully she didn't weigh me lol.

Heartbeat was 150 so I could suggest girl but who knows! Xxx

Happy v day

I had midwife app today as well Naomi, heartbeat around 140 and defo a boy lol was so funny cos he kept moving away from the Doppler and kicking at it!
Measured 25.5cms and baby lying transverse, urine clear and BP fine.
Had my whooping cough vaccine as well, next midwife app in 2 weeks and I've got consultant and growth scan in 2 weeks as well.
Can't believe I'll be in tri 3 in 11 days, don't know where the time is going! Only 13 working days left

My little fidget has grown again. Think I had a bum under my ribs when I woke up and he's been right down in my pelvis all day. I feel like he's not very curled up, always a bit stretched out as despite the pelvis pressure I get sore at top of bump as well

Haven't you got any holiday to take before maternity leave starts Naomi? They'll only let me take 5 days forward to next year so I've got to finish a month before due date. Would have preferred to carry it over xx

I'm taking one week (week 39) and carrying the rest over. They were happy for me to carry it over as there's a project I've been managing that won't finish til the first week in september plus one of the contracts I'm paid through comes with quarterly targets so finishing in september will give me the best chance of getting certain bits done to ease the pressure on whoever is my maternity cover suits me fine as I'd rather carry it over. I did the same with my little girl. The only thing will be if I go into labour early! Hoping to be relatively on time though! Xxx

I don't think I would manage another 14 weeks I can barely cope now lol

MrsB - I have a leaflet here that says whooping cough vaccine from 28 weeks. But I've seen people get it earlier so there may be regional differences xx

I'm at the midwife on Monday and will be 26 weeks almost so I shall check then x

Yeah some offer it from 20w, our board does anyway I remember getting mine 28w last time but my friends just got hers at 24w.

I need to get it, starting to get paranoid as Ive had an awful chesty cough for over a week now and its not budging! Im not whooping as such Just sound like Ive been on the regals. Appointment for Tuesday, hoping to get one tomorrow too.

The guidelines have recently changed and the whooping cough can now be given from 20 weeks, makes more sense to give it earlier in case of premature birth.
