I've done tea and now assumed my position on the sofa for the evening!!

I'm sat on the floor watching TV, MW told me to always sit on ball or lean forward on it when watching TV but suppose I can't do it all the time. Just don't feel me , feel poorly so resting as much as possible. Last shift tomorrow! Yay.

I've just swerved a trip to the MiL's tomorrow. She keeps ringing me asking if I've had any signs yet...34 weeks...I've screamed internally.

Full moon playing tricks on everyone I see.
Does anyone else get really frustrated with their midwife? I really try not too but I always feel more stressed leaving an appointment than relaxed!
She basically always tells me something I would see as a concern then days not too worry.
Today was "oh your blood pressure seems to always be all over the place. Quite shocking actually, you were really low when you came in now it's sky high, not high enough to admit you for a concern mind you" "no wonder you always get light headed, and you are measuring quite small he's gonna be a little one"
And apparently he is engaged infact I think she managed to sneak the word 'stuck' in there so over all "you still have a while left yet so don't stress and relax"
Ah I feel so bad moaning I know they do a fab job I just seem to start panicking when I leave instead of getting answers.

Oh dear, your midwife sounds like she has foot in mouth syndrome! Mine made me laugh last time I saw her. OH and mum couldn't come with me due to work and it was the day after my funny turn so didn't want to go into town on my own so my very obviously male gay best friend came with me and my midwife thought he was my OH and started talking to him about being a Daddy again hahahaha x

Hahaha that is brilliant H , atleast it gave you a good giggle. My midwife is lovely but yeah just don't think she really thinks when she is saying things, like she's never mentioned my blood pressure before and she wrote in my notes that I didn't want my second dose of anti d (as I'm rhesus negative) which is actually untrue and I only knew she wrote that because I needed another dose after a bleed. Just really hope she hasn't missed anything out , she was the same midwife I had with DD and has mentioned to her then I thought my waters were leaking and nothing was done until I sef referred myself to matty hospital a week later where I needed to be induced.
Don't get me wrong she will know what she is doing its just not very re assuring for me or Oh , I came out there an emotional wreck this afternoon. And she told me and wrote in my notes that I would need to be seen every 2 weeks from now and hasn't given me an appointment for another 3! Scary to think I will be classed as full term then
Anyway sorry I'm ranting now, I have a new midwife as of next appointment anyway so we will see.

Eek! Had a nice dinner and dessert at frankie and bennys earlier. Then my friend paid as a birthday present so that was a lovely surprise. Tomorrow I get paid so I am planning on treating myself to something lovely (not sure what yet) and Saturday is my birthday so we are out for breakfast. Then Sunday we are off to Ipswich for the day for a Charity football match that my OH and his brothers play in.
I'm looking forward to the weekend and also having my OH off work next week! Yay

Your not ranting at all babe, she does sound like she has serious foot in mouth syndrome and I'm sure she doesn't mean too but that would panic me too. My MW is ok we just don't click, I don't know if your supposed too but we just don't have much in common and I feel she talks down to me a bit but she is helpful don't get me wrong. I was made up when she said she won't be delivering my baby unless I opt for a home birth because she's private so I'll have the Liverpool women's midwives. Feel mean saying that but I really didn't want her delivering little miss. She also asks me things again and again, yesterday she asked me my due date which is worrying when she had my notes in front of her too, she does say 'oh you didn't want that did you ' or 'you had that injection didn't you' when I didn't but I put it down to her being really busy.

Awww Kelly wasn't pointless at all was a lovely post! Sounds like you've had a fab day and a lovely few days planned.

My sister in law is going the lakes Saturday with her two LO's and OH but OH may not be able to go now so I'm thinking of going up for a few days.

Michelle hope the pain eases! What times your app tomorrow?

I still don't feel great but starting to think I'm poorly rather then it being pregnancy related as OH isn't too well either. Xxxxxx

Hi Ladies, just been catching up on the last few pages - hope everyone is feeling ok this evening. Not that I wish anxiety on anyone but Im glad I'm not alone!! Maybe it's the moon maybe we're all just at that stage where labour is a fairly imminent reality - I'm so glad I have you ladies to share it with. It's a shame we're all so far apart really!!!
I had my doctors appointment today, he referred me for thyroid testing due to the discolouration on my neck then when I mentioned my concern over GD being so close to full term he said 'what the hell, can you get to the hospital tomorrow?' so I'm currently fasting and I'm going to hospital for 9am tomorrow to have the GTT and thyroid tests. I'm hoping the fast tracking wasn't because he was over-concerned but rather super efficient! Fine by me - better than worrying over it for 2 weeks. I'm such a foody though - going to be a grumpy moo tomorrow when I can't eat until 12:30 earliest!
I've had a chunky kit-Kat, appletizer and apple crumble today just incase they tell me I can't eat anything else sugary until baby is out!!

Glad your doctor is being proactive Summer as it did seem silly to have to wait 2 weeks! I love the sugar intake today, made me laugh - I would do the same lol. Hope all goes well.

I've been asleep since 8pm!! Great company I am for hubby. Although I did wake up at one point and tell him not to eat all the mini Dime bars I bought yesterday at IKEA - priorities and that.
Hope your scan goes well tomorrow, Michelle. I'm sure all will be well.
Good luck with the GTT, Summer, I found it boring but not horrible.
Your birthday weekend sounds lovely, Kelly! Hope you have a fab time.
Realised I missed my mw appointment today, not sure whether to even bother rebooking, as I'm consultant led I see her once in a blue moon and any concerns I have she just tells me to speak to my consultant anyway. X

Michelle I think you deserve a big goody box once little one arrives!
I've had a terrible nights sleep. Woke up just about every half hour. As did my son! Which is very rare for him. He didn't get us up (or even wake my OH up) until 4.30, but he was walking around his room and kept opening his door all night x
