*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

Thanks ladies ! I'm so freaked out and could hardly sleep last night, I know it could be nothing but you feel so much more vulnerable when pregnant, there's two of us I have to take care of. Also worries me people like that could find where you live!

Police are meeting me at work at 11.00 and will be taking statements from me and staff, along with checking store cameras & shopping centre CCTV.

Feel really anxious and don't want to work now! If I wasn't pregnant I would show him who's boss and continue turning up and not let him scare me but is different now x x x

Totally understandable! I'd feel a bit uneasy. I remember one day at work a few years back now where one guy literally followed me around work for 4 hours! That was bad enough and I had never seen him before and never saw him again.

Time is almost standing still at the moment. I feel I've been stuck around the same sort of time left for ages now! xx

That's awful Bunny432! I hope the police etc are able to sort it / put your mind at rest a little - their really are some weirdos out there!

Thankyou Gillyboos that's really useful as I hadn't thought about half of that...or temp in hospital etc think I may go shopping or il end up the least prepped mamma ever! Il have a look for the sticky thing- I'm viewing the thread through the TapTalk app on my phone and still getting used to finding my way round it... x

Fingers crossed the police get somewhere with it. What a creep. *big hugs* xx

Came to work early because felt nervous sitting in the house on my own time seemed to drag so been here since 10. Spoke to security and they've shown me where the cameras are at the back and front of the shop so I can show the police & police should be here soon. I hardly slept and feel anxious, obviously not good for little bean so hope they can do more then just speak to me. Luckily Matt is in today and he's the one that's seen the man being weird the most so he said he will speak to the police x x x

Oh Bunny you poor thing, there are some right oddballs around. When I was pregnant with Ruby walking to work one morning about 8am some guy started following me down a quiet street and started trying to chat to me, I was really scared. He walked a few meters ahead of me and kept staring back at me then suddenly he stopped got his phone out and started talking to someone whilst just gawping at me. I literally turned round and ran to a neighbouring street that I could see had a few people down it and called my OH who worked at same place as me literally 5 mins away and then I just stuck with a big crowd of people and stayed on the phone the rest of the way but I have to say I never used that route again as I was so scared of bumping into him again. Like you said when you are pregnant it is worse as you are not just scared for you but also for your child. Massive hugs hun, hope the police visit helps put you at ease a little x

Hello - I haven't thought about packing my hospital bag or what's going in it! Have you any particular recommendations of what to go in it? Thanks!x

p.s we got our cotbed from IKEA I think it was 180 ish all in - very sturdy.

Thank you hun, I will have a look at their website.

My bag list is pretty similar to the list Gilly posted but here you go:

My bag:
- Maternity pads (I packed 20 as I had a PPH with my daughter and the bleeding was horrendous so needed a lot)
- Breast pads
- 5 pairs Big pants (you may bleed a lot and need to change them so always take more than you will need)
- Nursing bras
- 2 nighties
- leggings/loose tops and like Gilly I am debating a maxi dress for leaving hospital as it will be nice and comfy
- mini travel toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, face wipes, flannel)
- Make up (minimal amount though)
- Lip balm (Massive must have! The gas and air dries and cracks your lips and I had huge swollen painful lips for 3 days after birth)
- Snacks (I am taking cereal bar type things - I didn't eat any last time as when you are in pain you don't feel like it but they were a god send for OH who was starving)
- Change for parking etc
- Camera/Phone/Phone charger (I will just be using the camera on my phone as it is pretty decent)
- Pregnancy notes
- Something to read
- Carrier bag for dirty washing
- Towel(s)
- Flip flops instead of slippers as it may be hot and you can shower in them if you are funny about showering in hospital bathrooms like me (verrucas!)

Baby bag:

- 4 vest tops (2 x newborn, 2 x 0-3 months)
- 4 sleepsuits (sizes as above)
- 14 nappies (I am leaving a bag of extra nappies, clothes etc at home for OH to bring if I have to stay in longer than a day)
- Nappy sacks
- Cotton wool
- Water wipes
- Change mat
- 2 dummies
- Dummy clip
- 2 pairs scratch mits
- 2 hats
- Formula starter pack as I am not breastfeeding
- Blanket

I think that is is from doing this off top of my head but if anything else important springs to mind I will post again :)

Hope it helps.

When is your LO due? x

Getting a bit nervous now about my bump being small again when mw measures later. Obviously I don't really know exactly how they do it but there is a guide in my notes so I measured n I thinking I'm inbetween 27/28 wks which has shown growth but I shud b 31+3!!!

Anyone know if that's ok as it has grown not stayed static or will they want to scan me again??

Michelle.x

I have the opposite problem and am measuring 2 - 3 weeks ahead but the midwives/doctors said to me as long as you are consistent in your measurements they are not overally concerned x

Thanks hun, I do hope u r right. It's not that I mind extra scans but I only have till next Thursday at work n then I'm off so I can go hospital whenever they want!!!

Baby is always wiggling n kicking so I'm not concerned at all I'm sure he/she is fab in there.

Michelle, when I measure myself I always seem to measure a bit less than what my midwife gets. Had this all through my last preg!
Hope it goes well today xx

Thanks hun, I'm prob measuring wrong. If they cud just do it with me standing up I'd b fine it's just bump disappears when I ly down!!

3hrs to go.

Michelle.x

Well that was fine, baby is measuring at only 28 wks but she said she wasn't to concerned as it has grown n I'm seeing the consultant in 2wks so she can make a decision then of more scans n induction etc.

So hope I pop before n have baby at home.

Glad it was good news. :)

I'm having some wicked pains, they aren't what I remember contractions feeling like, but they really hurt. Lay on the sofa like a potato, whilst the twins are going nuts, those two fighting for space isn't exactly helping with the pains.

Scan and consultant tomorrow so I will find out if I'll be having a section or not. Hoping the girls have grown too. Xx

Oh bunny that must have been so scary, I hope the police are helpful! Am sure your work colleagues can give you some support too. X

Michelle glad app went ok and all was measuring fine, I haven't even attempted to measure myself but got midwife tomorrow so we shall see what she says!

Gillyboos hope the pains calm down soon, can't imagine what housing two babies feels like! Xx

Gilly, I hope your pains ease. My one baby really catches me off guard when she moves sometimes, I can't imagine two doing that.

Hope apppintments go well tomorrow x

Anybody who already has a little one, are any of your babies going to be sharing rooms? We are in a 2 bed at the moment. We have considered moving after Christmas into a 3 bed but we actually really like our house. I'm really concerned how 2 of different ages will be in the same bedroom.
My son was 6 weeks when he went into his own room. But we would keep her in our room longer, maybe until Atleast 4 months old, but my son would then be 2 years and 5 months old.. not sure how it will work!!? X

Police came , there's nothing they can do without knowing his name and seeing him on CCTV. We can't access our CCTV only head office can so he's going to contact them. If the man comes in to the mall or shop I can call the police and they'll come straight away & give him a warning. That was it really. Didn't check the mall CCTV's. The policeman himself was lovely just think he was bit limited as to what he can do. Only 10'shifts left now so fingers crossed I don't see the man again. Thanks everyone so much for your messages.

When do you all have your hospital bags done by? xxxx

Harry n this bubs will b sharing Kelly, well hopefully!! We do have a 3bedroom bungalow but currently one room is the play room fir the business. Obviously when they r older it will become one of there rooms but they will defo b sharing for a while to start. Well as I say that's the plans!!

hope the appointments go well tomoz ladies can't believe how close we r all gettin now.

Will everyone be washing all of babys clothes before putting them on them? I did it with my first but a lot of people tell me its pointless :/ xx
