Sorry to hear about your feet, Kelly. Have you got them up and resting?

Glad you had a lovely time, Michelle!

I'd love to join in the symptom spotting but had nothing of any substance recently. Bump is low now but that's gravity and I worry it looks like overhang!!! Absolutely shattered today, feel like I could sleep for a week. My little angel has been a horror today so that hasn't helped much. Managed to get the girls' stickers up and clear most of the stuff out of their room, just need Mark to do the lifting.
MiL's shower has broken so we're having to go across there on Saturday so hubby can fix it, he did kindly offer to take O on his own so I could rest but he doesn't really see why I can't say yes. For example, O is running around everywhere and getting into everything atm, normal for his age but obviously needs watching, plus stepdad is very fragile and ill so I'm scared he will bump him and try to climb on him. Hubby says MiL will watch him but she just lets him run riot and fills him with sugar and doesn't put him down for naps. I just can't face him coming home all wired up and having a sleepless night with him. Part of me thinks I should stop being so negative but every time I have something shit happens - i.e. He breaks a family 'heirloom', he gets shouted out for doing something innocent, he gets given foods we've asked him not to have... Plus they have a dog who I don't 100% trust, he's a lovely dog (we had a dog too but he passed away, I'm not anti dogs) but he's really boisterous and rough and last time he scratched all the inside of O's leg as they were left on their own in the garden (where there's also an uncovered pond). I do worry I come across as a control freak and I think MiL does think I am as I'm so reluctant to not be with O but I just can't shake the feeling that I need to be. Anyway that was just a bit of a rant to you guys, feel better now. Happens every time I go there, end up worrying and stressing myself out for days beforehand. What a butternut :D x

Gilly all of that would freak me out! I would never leave my LO alone with inlaws either for similar reasons and on occasions it has been suggested I have swept over it lol x

I definitely meant 'what a nutter' and not butternut ha!!
Glad it's not just me, I think hubby thinks I'm a bit weird about it as he goes to my parents no worries, but they were our childcare from him being 8 months old, so it's totally different. It's an awful thing to say but I just don't feel 100% about it, if hubby wasn't working there I wouldn't be bothered but it's the fact he'll be busy. X

Sounds fair enough to me gilly I wouldn't b happy in that situation either I'm very lucky to have wonderful in laws who I adore spending time with n who have Harry alot for me.

Never took much notice of my plug last time but this time I've noticed the amount of discharge has ramped up now as it did with Harry but sometimes when I wipe n sorry fur tmi but it's like a blob of gloopy snot!! Is that plug??

I'm pretty sure snot is plug, that's what I had at IKEA the other week when I said I'd lost plug.

Don't get me wrong, MiL adores O, we just have very different parenting techniques and she won't follow mine! X

Completely understand Gilly, I won't even let my in-laws look after our dog (instead, when we go on holiday, we drive 3hrs to my parents and drop him off there) I could go on a massive rant too - it's actually mostly my father-in-law, he's extremely opinionated and controlling (I'm opinionated but I live by my own opinions and don't enforce it on others). He's already tried to convince me that I should have a home birth - even bought me a book and dvd saying how 'doctors were robbing me of my right to be a natural woman' and 'pain relief and the clinical environment of the hospital damages the baby as it enters the world' ... Such a prat. I've bluntly told him it's not for me - but EVERY time he sees me he asks if I've read the book/watched the DVD - to be honest I find it pretty cringey that he would even concern himself with how I give birth  - my own dad wouldn't interfere in that department. So can't wait for all the parenting advice and to be told what we're doing wrong once baby's actually here  Oh god now you've got me ranting  Anyway long story short - don't feel bad, our baby will NEVER be left at inlaws.

Michelle - I had that yesterday! I really don't get a lot if discharge but I lost a big glob yesterday which I'm sure was a bit if plug. However I also lost a bit at around 24wks and my midwife just said it regenerates so I'm not sure it means much unless it's a massive amount and tinged with blood ...

Sorry to laugh, Summer but what the hell???!!! That is the oddest thing I've ever heard. I've found it's easiest to just 'mmmmm' at all the advice and ignore it. My MiL said "she was surprised at how naturally I took to motherhood", but she is the queen of backhanded compliments. She is the matriarch and everyone has always pandered to her, since being with me hubby has become more assertive with her but I feel I am blamed deep down for that. I've also taken her youngest and only son. But if I don't answer the phone she rings hubby at work to ask why I'm not answering. I probably shouldn't admit this but sometimes I ignore it and pretend I never got the call notification........

I'd be exactly the same Gilly. Perfectly happy for inlaws to babysit for us here or take her out for a walk but I wouldn't be happy leaving her at their house. It's not baby proofed like my mum and dads is.

Spa day looked good michelle. I've just been out for afternoon tea with my cousin as a birthday treat for her. Was nice to be able to sit, chat and have a civilised lunch with no children!

We're off to center parcs at Woburn this weekend with OHs friends. Travelling down tomorrow night and staying in a premier inn then we get the full day there on Friday. Just trying to sort out clothes to pack later but Amelia's definitely not helping!! I've given up till hubby gets home from work.

I've been having what feel like period pains this week. I won't be doing much walking about this weekend. Also got a sore foot. Don't know if it's the extra weight but it's only 1 foot! Think hubby's sick of me moaning, ha x

I'm buggered if a family member ever comes across my posts on here!!!! :D

Could it be a trapped nerve Katherine? When baby was laying in a nerve I had pain/pins and needles and numbness in only one leg/foot. Xx

It really was lush Katherine still feel so relaxed been on sofa all arvo feet up being very lazy!!

Ohhh so cud b plug then I did think it cud go on fir ages so I won't take any notice just yet then.

Still weird to think ours babies will all b here soon ladies accredited now.

Summer that is so odd I would freak If fil tried to talk to me about my birth options lol.

Could that be linked to period pains too then? Never had any of this last time! I just keep spraying deep heat on it and put it up when I can.

Not sure about the period type pains, I get them on and off anyway. X

I get period pains on and off every week now, it is just tightenings :) and yup snotty things are definitely bits of plug. It can take weeks to all come out before labour, mine went on for ages x

Thanks h have noticed a few days of snot but Im guessing it's not a sign just yet.

Ladies have any of you ever had contractions in your back? I am getting pains in my lower back and lower bump that are coming and going. I have had a painful back for two days anyway but this is something I have never felt before, really odd and it really hurts! X

I mentioned yesterday H that my braxton hicks have ramped up and I can tell when ones coming because I get a dull ache in my lower bump and lower back, it then peaks with my tummy going rock solid for about 30 seconds then eases off - like a more intense period pain. Don't know if that's what yours is like? I had loads last night and a bad one even woke me up in the middle of the night which has never happened before. I wouldn't say they're painful enough to make me worry but I do have to stand or sit very still whilst it's going on
Xxx

Sounds sort of like mine Summer, thanks hun must be same thing :) x
