*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

Just trying to catch up...
That's fantastic news about Danielle with Ella!!! Yay!! And congratulations!

I hope they're not sore for long Michelle! Ouchy!

Had a lovely lunch out yest in the sun followed by a surprise mini baby shower! It was absolutely lovely and just what I needed! Got a growth scan at 1:30 today, going on my own as oh cant get time off work so fingers crossed for that!
It's a beautiful sunny day here in Cumbria I hope it is with you ladies too xx

Michelle, I breastfed for 2 days only and then slightly for a few days after that until I completely stopped around day 4/5. It took weeks for my milk to dry up! Hope it's not the same for you. I was leaking so much that I had to put flannels down my bra! X

So glad we have another baby! Come on Dairy and Summer.. you have to be next so that I can have mine lol!

Char, glad you had a nice afternoon :)

I'm in a similar position with breastfeeding Michelle. I can get hardly anything, 1oz a pump maybe, the girls are screaming for more if they go on the breast. Breastfeeding counsellor wants me to pump 8-10 times a day and at least once in the night. I asked her when I was supposed to look after my 3 children and sleep but she just pulled a face. Had the HV round and she said I need to be happy and not stressed , so to do what I like. Hubby is for me packing it in as it's getting me down. I hate the fact people say you ALWAYS produce enough or that it doesn't hurt if the latch is correct, I don't care what all the breastfeeding nazis say, if I'm doing everything you tell me to and still only getting 1oz, maybe 2 - then something is up. The girls are happy enough with ff and were more sick with breast milk, I've got over my guilt and mini meltdown now, and I'm much happier and feel more relaxed and confident.
My milk has practically dried up since yesterday afternoon and luckily it wasn't sore. Fx it's the same for you, Michelle. x

AHHHH congratulations Danielle :pompom: your princess is here!! Hope you and Ella are both doing well - looking forward to a piccy and your labour story!! Lots of love xxx

Glad you are happier now Gilly, I think there is way too much pressure on women to breastfeed. I tried it with Ruby and didn't get on with it / wasn't producing barely any so I just formula fed and felt much happier and more chilled without the pressure x

I doubt I'll bg for long this time round either. I want to have time for my son aswell, not spend all day pumping.

We have already brought formula, I'm not sure OH is keen on me bf anyway x

My MW actually said to me the most important part of breastfeeding is the very first milk colostrum that you get for first couple of weeks as that is what contains most of the antibodies etc. So I tried BF and she had a few very small feeds and then we changed to formula and I just thought well at least she had a little bit of the really important stuff then :) x

Yay congratulations bunny that's fab news n made my day. Gorgeous name too.

I'm in a lot of pain but fx it will dry up soon. Got the mw cuming round on a mo n it's one I don't know so I'm nervous to tell her I've stopped which is stupid as its my body n it's nit working for us but they do make u feel guilty.

Fx for more babies now ladies.

Summer just looked at the first page n noticed Summers down as born on the 1st but she was the 2nd the little monkey!!!

Michelle.x

Well done bunny! Huge congratulations! Let's keep those September babies coming! Xx

I will do the first feed which I heard is most important too xx

Just saw that Doll_eyes had her baby today too! So exciting! :D x

Just back from midwife. Baby has dropped and is quite low. She recommended bouncing on ball. She was going to do a sweep on Thursday when I'll be 40+1 then when she realised I'd had a section last time she said she's not allowed to. Bit gutted. Have to wait til I see consultant next Tuesday if nothings happened before then :-( In our area they only induce at 40+12 so would be 2 weeks today if nothing's happened naturally. I know it'll happen when it's ready but just want it over. Need to decide how much induction we want. She did say another section might be for the best if we've got good support which we have x

Aww and she's called it Scarlett love the name!
Had growth scan and they're predicting 8and a half by the time I reach 'full term' in 11 days! So that's not too big! But it's turned back to back which is a bit naughty and sore- any tricks for turning it? Xx

Chardrap the website 'spinning babies' is supposed to be great for tips on getting baby to turn.

Katherine sorry you are feeling fed up, just remember it could all start happening at any minute cx

I know. If we'd opted for a section this time, we'd probably have had baby now which is how it might end anyway. Amelia was born at 39+5 which is what I am today. Think I'd regret not trying for a vbac though.

Thanks Mary il have a look!
Katherine - Sending positive vibes your way that hopefully it will all kick off naturally for you before Tuesday! Charlotte xx

Random question. On and off today I feel like I have put my back out. I normally don't have any trouble with my back, and don't recall hurting it, but this does feel more like a strain than labourish, however I do keep having period pains in my back and tummy on and off too.

Guess I am wondering if anyone else has experience this, or if I have actually hurt my back a bit? Bad timing if I have, just makes me question it with it coming and going x

My back has been really sore all week Hun, think it's quite common problem for a lot of us in final week or two :( Hope it feels better soon x

I feel really rough tonight, had a real funny turn half hour ago and still feeling the effect, really faint, feel sick, loose bowels, weird flashing lights in eyes and just generally spaced out :( glad I got GP in morning as might be worth a mention x
