Our TTC Weightloss Thread

Green tea is total pond water. And it stains your teeth apparently. I'll be avoiding that. But am definitely going with the pulped frozen lemon as recommended a while ago by Ceris. Not only good for weight loss but apparently good for ttc too, and seeing as she just got a BFP I'm doubly enthusiastic :)

I can't see watery green tea staining your teeth any worse than dark brown tea/coffee lol

If it tastes like crap, you're probably burning it. The water needs to be a little cooler than boil - with the good stuff anyway. I mean, it still tastes a little crap, but nothing a slice of lemon won't fix ;)

White tea, now that's the super stuff :)

I've been having pulped lemon as recommended by ceris too! I have a couple per day, the only thing i don't like is because i did the skins too it's a bit like sand at the bottom of the mug.
 
it doesnt taste too bad to be fair....i can cope with it....
 
What is everyones action plan from now until weigh in?

Mine is still the smoothie thing, but what are you all actually doing to get thinner? :)

Diets? Exercise? Chopping off a limb?

i am trying to stick to around 1500 calories a day...trying to drink plenty of water and exercising...did zumba dvd yesterday, going to do it again tomorrow night and then gym on thursday night.....xx
 
Ive been drinking green tea for about 11 months and my teeth are fine. Ive also got used to the taste so much I like it and find it refreshing. I drink 1 to 2 cups a day and loose weight weekly. One week as an experiment I didnt drink it and its one of only 2 weeks in 11 months Ive not lost! Could be hooey as I have been watching what I eat but keeps me going. Samsgirl I also drink normal tea too!
 
thanks chick... :) going to go for 2 cups a day and see how i go...got the same one you mentioned.....its not as bad as i thought it was going to be...xx
 
Yeah I make sure I give the bag a good squeeze to make it stronger. Put cold water in the cup first! Definetly bearable!

Hopefully both diet and exercise if I can exert the willpower. I might not bother with the chopping though
 
Well im doing it the old fashioned way, diet and exercise. I swim twice a week and play netball on thursdays. Im trying to eat plenty of chicken and fish and im going to try green tea too. But if all else fails ive got the chain saw at the ready! :lol:
 
I'd like to join in as im sure my weight issues are hampering my TTC success however I'm too ashamed to share my actual weight here, let's just take it a stone at a time I think, ;) xx

I started the Gym yesterday and i'm aching from my head to my toes!! oh the pain of it!! :lol: really don't think i'll be able for it tonight but if i don't go i'll prob seize up, so off again at 6!! it wil be worth it in the end though :pray: (i hope).

brilliant gym and i would thoroughly recommend it but they work you hard!! i think i'm gonna try green tea too!!!

Less bread. Bread is evil. Less Pizza Express salad dressing, I'll cut back to two bottles of dressing a week.

I'm going to try to eat earlier in the evening, apparently that helps.

I'm going to try the lemon pulp thing (you said it was sandy from the skin, should i grate it off do you think?)

I'm going to tai-chi on Wednesday nights, and do a bit of dancing in front of MTV. (I feel very motivated watching Rhianna etc shake their booties, I want to look like that again). And swim on Monday nights.

Whats everyone elses plans?
 
well i was going to do my zumba dvd again tonight but af has arrived and i feel like pants now...lol...or am i using it as an excuse........i know its meant to help with cramps, doing some exercise....will see how i feel in a bit

I wouldn't bother to be honest, i just throw it back and give it a chew :)

Supposed to have a lot of good stuff int he skin and if at worst you don't like it, it does sink and you can drink the mug dry and still avoid it.
