November Mummies! <3

Oh no hope you're feeling lots better soon! X

I think in the future you may actually be relieved when she wants to look after the little one all the time. Our daughter used to sleep at grandmas 2-3 nights a month, the alone time with OH & lie in was great and really helped our relationship! (now I work weekends so there's no point in her sleeping out cause I don't get a lie in haha)

I'm hoping this time my mum will retire, she's talked about it but I'm not sure if she will. It would come in handy as I'm not sure MIL would have a 3 yo and a baby together! As much as she'll love them it might be too much for her.

Anyone else suffering with killer heartburn?? X

I know there will definitely be times when I'll want to drop baby at the door I'm sure haha, but this is our first and we've waited a long time to have our family, and I feel like she's gunna be expecting to look after the baby all the time. And I'm hoping to breastfeed so there's not really much she can do there anyway, Im just expecting her to be a bit unintentionally pushy but we'll see. Xx

I'm having really bad heartburn. Started about three months ago I think, and I'm just used to it now! Gaviscon relieves it though

I have a really stupid question.. as usual lol. When do they start reacting to noise? I'm 28 weeks and have tried playing music through my phone holding it to my stomach with no reaction! X

My baby reacts to noise! He also jumps when I fart!

I've not noticed any response to noise. With my daughter I went to the cinema to see X-Men & she kicked throughout, I thought due to the noise. With this one, we've just recently been to see Annabelle, LO barely moved. X

Aw no what if he's got hearing issues...

Omg Annabelle wa scary if that's the one I'm thinking of haha

Annabelle the creation it was called I think.

No I'm sure all is fine. The sounds they hear are muffled anyway so I wouldn't worry. X

We've emptied the spare room, just need to strip the walls, rip up the carpet & get a new window & door before we can decorate. We're getting there though... 8 weeks to go! Lol

We've started packing today, ready to get the new keys on Thursday! We're moving from a 2 bed flat to 3 bed hosue with garden. I can't wait!

We moved at 8 month pregnant with our daughter. Stressed isn't the word. But I still feel more stressed this time & it's only a nursery to decorate. X

We live in a one bedroom apartment. We were house hunting but we figured with my maternity pay it'll be cheaper to stay put until baby is about 6 month old.
Has anyone got any experience in painting cribs? I know I'd need to get non toxic paint and all that jazz.

Our daughter slept with us until 1 year old so you deffo have the right idea.

Not sure about painting a crib, the bedroom furniture we had for our daughter was a painted cream wood, and it's got bite marks from where she'd rub her teeth on it. So deffo non toxic paint.

I've got the worst toothache in the world. Tried to no avail for an out of hours appointment yesterday so had to call in sick at work so I can go the dentist at 9. Plus I've had no food & very little sleep, stomachs hurting from the paracetamols... Boss was super pissy about it! Just makes me wanna pack in, ugh! Think it could be an abscess. :(

Oh I wish mine was. I've had to call in sick as my tooth is really bad, my face is swollen & painkillers aren't touching the pain. On antibiotics, paracetamol & codeine with one aspirin per day... my poor little baby. :( xx

Went to a prenatal class... couldn't get out of the car because I burst out crying. Everyone was in couples and all happy, whilst my OH works away and couldn't make it (eventhough I asked him in June to please try and make it...)
So instead I went to Subway to cheer myself up, but I could only get as far as "Please can I have a 6 inch Italian" before I burst out crying again

Aww no Cati. I can imagine how awful you must feel, I don't even like going to midwife appointments without my OH. Luckily he's pretty much his own boss so can make most appointments. Could you. It take a close friend along for support?

I never did any of those antenatal classes last time & won't be doing any this time. Not my cup of tea. X

Last time I did the ones my midwife offered and led, partners were essential at the first one then after that it was mainly just the women. Nothing has been mentioned or offered this time!

Ooh Cati! How did you get on in the end, did you go in? We have our first one tomorrow night. My husband can't wait...

Feeling really tired today. My alarm is for 8:40 most days but I woke up at 8 when hubs left for work, stayed up for a little bit and watched an episode of my series, then had a 20 minute nap before getting up for my breakfast! Xx

8.40?! That's a lie in! My alarm is set for 6.10am on work days!
