November Mummies! <3

I'm aiming for Halloween when I turn 38 weeks, providing I don't struggle and leave earlier xx

I've been referred to the breast clinic & I've been fast tracked due to family history. So I'll be seen within 2 weeks.

Oh I wish I was leaving at 32 weeks. I'm 31 weeks now, and work is getting too much, and we've so much to sort in the house that we aren't getting time to do. X

That's both good and nerve wracking I imagine, try stay calm and positive though easier said than done <3 hope it's nothing serious xx

Thank you, I've been before & had to get a biopsy and it was just fibrocystic breast changes & the Doctor said she expects this to turn out the same. So fingers crossed. X

We get the keys to the new house on 7th Sept, so it's good timing as it means I'll be at home to sort everything out. Although I can't say I'm looking forward to it! I do feel really unprepared for this baby though, I'm desperate to sort out the baby's clothes and get everything washed, but no point until we move.

I finish work on 28th september then have 3 weeks annual leave before mat leave starts on 23rd oct at 37 weeks.

Fingers crossed it's nothing more starchild, make sure you let us know how you get on!

I'm planning on starting my maternity leave at 36 weeks. But in all honesty I'm not sure that I'll make it! I'm a teacher, and have been off on summer hols, and even without working my hips have been getting worse and worse, so not sure how I will cope with the 30-40 min drive to work, full day teaching and then drive home to look after toddler. Am planning on going back for first day (4th Sept) and see how I feel after the drive, and just gonna be honest with my headteacher and if I need to get signed off I will.

Xx

Wishing you all the best Starchild! I'm sure all will be fine :)

I'm seriously considering finishing early.

It's my daughters birthday at the end of September and I'm not allowed the week off, which sucks 'cause I have the required notice. Get this I'm also not allowed the week of my wedding off.... but not sure I'll be back from maternity leave by then anyway.

Emmajaine I'm the same, I walk to work it takes half an hour and by time I'm there I'm exhausted and aching & just want to rest. Then like you say a full day working, then a toddler when you return home.

This time in my first pregnancy I had high blood pressure and wasn't allowed to work. This time however I'm perfectly fine. (not sure how! Lol)

We're starting our nursery on Saturday! X

So my two year old had decided (at nursery) that's she's not wearing a nappy today, she wants knickers!

I'm not sure I'll be returning to my current job either, not sure how well afford nursery for two children!

Yeah we had to consider that too. Luckily our daughter gets 15 hours free from January (she turns 3 in September) so I'm going to work part time around nursery for my daughter & pay for the baby to go. And do a weekend day when OH can look after them.

ATM our daughter goes to school only 6 hours a week & it costs us £160 a month.

My daughter goes 4 days a week, costs me around £610 a month and that's with staff discount!

Wow that is a lot. Fortunately we can rely on OHs parents for childcare too, as well as me & OH working opposite shifts. We're very lucky that way. X

Oh my word I never even thought about childcare costs... 610£ !!

Oh my word I never even thought about childcare costs... 610£ !!

And that's with staff discount! It should be £758! So I've no idea what I'll do when I've got two lol. My daughter will get her 15 from September '18 but I'll be due back at work in June.

I have a prescription to pick up after work tonight for iron tablets as my blood results decided I was anaemic xx

How long are people taking off? With my daughter I was 12 hours a week when she was 2 month old but I had postnatal depression & didn't know, so work was an escape for me. This time I'm hoping to have 9 months (& help if I develop PND again.)

I'm currently applying for maternity allowance as I'm only part time and can't claim maternity pay.

Is anyone else claiming this? And if so do you know if bonuses count when sending your payslips to determine your 90%?

April I was warned to be careful with those as they can upset your tummy.

I thought I'd be anaemic... if one more person says I look "pasty" argh! Lol x

I've got no work or projects lined up after this current one ends in a few weeks, so after little one is here I'm all his for a long time! OH works full time and I get paid for caring for my sister for a few hours a week, so I think I'm gonna be okay. I think.. Haha!

Plus if I do have a work opportunity I'm super lucky to have my mum on hand to help with childcare.

I've been asked to see my GP for low iron, but it's only marginally under what it should be. I went to the MOAU last week because what I thought was braxton hicks really started hurting a lot (eased off whilst I was there and they let me go after monitoring) and I mentioned the low iron thing whilst I was there, they checked my results and said that eventhough it was below what it should be it's not worth bothering.

Starchild yeah I've not heard good things in terms of side affects! :oooo:

That's interesting Cati, I didn't really get any feedback from my results! When I went back to give more blood on Tuesday the nurse said 'possibly anaemic' and 'anaemic' (as in definitely) in the same appointment and I just thought surely I can only be one or the other lol. They didn't seem to have a clue really then I got a phone call at work on yesterday to pick up a prescription for iron tablets, so I guess I am anaemic after all!

Nice to hear about your childcare support too! My MIL went part time 2 years ago so only works 3 days, and always said she'd probably retire when she gets grandkids (ours will be the first and she doesn't have to work) so I'd imagine we have her a lot too. Can't help but feel a bit selfish though as I feel like she'll be expecting to look after baby a lot more than I want her to. Anyone else feel like that? Xx

I'll probably take the 39 weeks that is paid, then looking for something like an evening job 3 nights a week so my OH can have the kids.

I've had a horrible case of vomitting and diahorrea over the last two days, it was horrendous! I feel wiped out today.
