November Mummies! <3

Bit out of the loop here....but omg I can't believe I'm in tri2! Gone so fast! Xx

I'm 29 weeks 1 day. It's only recently hit me (when I said to other half, I don't think you appreciate just how pregnant I am!!) and I was like wow I'm really pregnant now. I think because my bump is small (pretty much been the same size throughout) I don't FEEL that pregnant. Until I overdo it & end up exhausted. X

28+2 and I feel huge! During my recent visits to hospital, one midwife measured my bump as 25 weeks and one measured me at 29 weeks! I've put on 5lbs altogether which I don't think is too bad.

Some days I think we've got ages to go, and I'm wrong for feeling so pregnant already, other times I think, well baby could be here in less than 12 weeks!

I'm being measured by a different midwife on my next visit as my midwife is away. I'm wondering if I'll get a really different measurement as they all measure differently.

I keep thinking we've got ages but it's flying in. I really need to get my butt into gear and get sorted! X

I'm due 5th november. my own little firecracker.. god help my partner.. me and mini me to contend with lol

Added you to the front page natjc172, do you know what you're having?

My due date was around that time but 12 week scan pushed it forward to 30th October. Even tho my dates won't add up if I go by their due date. I was pregnant before we had sex, AMAZING! Hahaha

How did it go Mayflower?

How is everyone else?

I've just rang the midwife. The pain under my ribs is getting me worried now, I'm also seeing flashes & spots, and just generally feel off, so I'm going for a BP check later.

My blood pressure has been 120/80 for the last 2 visits. Which for me having naturally low BP, I think is quite high. But it's in the normal range. Probably worrying over nothing as per! Lol

I thought my app had broken as it's been inactive on both threads. X

Hey ladies, been busy potty training my LG, so not had time to come on here much. (side note - what a nightmare!! Why I decided to do it whole pregnant I have no idea!! Thankfully it seems to have started to click, but still a long way from finished with it!)

Can't believe we are in the third tri! How are we all doing? I'm ok other than PGP flaring and piles (oh the joys of pregnancy! :$ )

Hi ladies glad to officially be in Tri 3! Had my 28w app on Monday and bloods done, she said if I need any iron tablets or anything she'd probably know by Wednesday and call, but had nothing yet so I'm expecting everything is all well. She says she likes me as I'm pretty much good all round with low bp, good blood etc haha.

Changed our nursery furniture round last night so we have more room for a nursing chair by the window :) xx

Emmajaine how old is your LO? We've just conquered potty training a few months back but at first it was like, she would NOT use a potty/toilet whenever we tried. So in the end I just left her potty out, never pressured her & eventually (week or 2) she just started using it. Then she wouldn't poo on it, again, left her to it, one day she just decided to poo. Couldn't believe how easy it was, AFTER we struggled with all the trying.

April they said that to me with my daughter then from 30 weeks I turned into nightmare patient, strep B & high blood pressure every appointment, protein in my wee, bump not growing, fingers crossed you stay good! Ha

Sounds nice. We've planned to empty the nursery, rip carpets up & decorate. PLANNED being the operative word. No action yet been taken. 10 weeks to go, need to get our butts into gear! X

Hope everyone is doing okay!

My back ache is really getting bad now, but it's always only on my left side. Unless I'm having a bought of braxton hicks, then its all over my lower back Having a lot of braxton hicks recently, but midwife says as long as they don't get closer together then I shouldn't worry.

Had the preteens clean and sort their room out today. One was fine and happy to do so, the other was a STRUGGLE. Oh the tears! You'd think I was Miss Hannegan off of Annie by the was she was acting!

Starchild - she is 2 years 4 months old. She know what she needs to do, can feel when she needs to wee (shown by jigging around and holding herself) but then has issues letting go once she is sat in the potty. She will sit on the potty and just do nothing. This happens 3 or 4 times til she finally manages to wee! Am keeping it as low key and relaxed as possible and just letting her manage it herself.

Em xx

My daughter is 2 years 2 months, we've had the potty out for months, so she knows what's it's for and is happy to sit on it but she's only once done a wee on it. She knows when she needs to go as she holds herself, and she'll tell us when she's done a poo. No idea what to do in regards to potty training - she's got a lot of changes coming up, new house, new nursery, new baby so I don't want to add even more pressure by forcing potty training. I also need to get rid of her dummy at some point - although she only has it for sleep.

Oh she's still quite young, I've found a few weeks can make all the difference. My OHs parents were pushing for potty training & I said no just leave her in her own time she'll do it. She'll have been about 2 years 6 month. Good luck! Mayflower85 my advice would be just try not give it too much focus & worry. It will come in time & I've heard if you potty train before they're actually ready they can regress.

We still have mission dodo removal. She's saying she's going to give her baby brother her dodos. But I'm not so sure! She's 3 next month so I'm wanting it gone soon. But again, with the changes coming up I don't wanna be taking away her comfort.

Hope everyone has a nice ache free/stress free day! I'm off to work & could cry! Lol xx

Had a really good day with her today, am definitely making progress, just taking more time than I originally (naively) thought it would. Mayflower, def don't rush it, especially with lots of changes coming up. Big changes can cause regressions so best to wait til things are more settled.

We got rid of dummies a couple of months back. We did the dummy fairy, and on the whole it worked really well, about a weeks worth of crying and shouting (which got less each night), and there is no issue at all now, she remembers having had one but talks about how the fairy "gives them to all little babies", and has linked it to her cousin Dexter having her dummies.

Anyone got any exciting plans for the bank holiday?

Xx

Ah that's a nice idea with the dummy. I've no idea how to get rid of ours, I was hoping it would be long gone by now. She only has it at night but she's in no mind to give it up. I may try & pretend it's lost one night & say we'll find it in the morning & see how that goes.

I'm working Saturday Sunday Monday so no bank holiday plans whatsoever. Early nights.

Had my 30 week appointment today everything is going really well & I got my swab to do at home before my next app (the strep B test) so I'm pleased I don't have to be swabbed by the nurses.

I potty trained all of mine after 3 as my eldest just wasn't ready until then - by waiting until they were older / ready, they were all dry/clean day and night within 5 days or so. It was a breeze! Some of my NCT friends pushed their first before second babies arrived and they were still having problems months later so I'd definitely recommend waiting - they know their minds these little people :)

I had my consultant appt this week, just to make sure my placenta is high and away from my scar as it will be my 4th section. Then I've got my GTT and MW appt next week and physio the week after that - I've got 5 weeks left at work and I'm hardly there because of all the appointments!

We've also started painting the nursery this week - it's all slowly coming together :)

Hope you're all ok xx
