I posted on one of my surrogacy groups asking advice about my Intended mother not accepting that baby could arrive at 37 weeks. She made me feel really bad for even suggesting he may come at that point and i needed to try to stop that from happening.
Well from asking advice i've now found out that the parental order may not be granted as the intended parents havn't lived in the uk for 2 years.
They have recently bought a house although they dont live there.
The rules state that the parents must reside in the uk for 2 years prior to birth and have a uk bank account and work or receive benifits within the uk.
none of which apply to my ips.
im devestated and have contacted the solicitors my ips are using but the lady isn't available to speak to me at the moment.
I really dont know what to do. I'm really hoping that since the mother is a uk citizen that none of that matter even though she hasnt lived here in over 20 years
I feel so stupid. I was assured at the start that everything would be ok with there living in Dubai. The father may have rights to the baby as it is his biologicaly but as he is a UAE citizen i still dont know if a parental order will be granted
