Ive got a blocked nose too, definitely not just my hay fever because it's all day long.
I couldn't wait another 4 weeks, had to find out sooner. Only another 2 hours to wait
My midwife went well. Although she kept me waiting for an hour because she forgot about me. She didn't think I was waiting for her. Confirms my suspicions of me just looking fat not pregnant though

Bloody arm is still sore! Never known it to hurt so much! Really do think she got the wrong vein or something!

Hi all, we are having a little boy! it was lovely. Got loads of pictures, even a few 3D ones even though baby does look rather alien like still at the moment. Now we've got to try and find a boys name we both like though.

Haha Mellie I know what you mean about looking fat! I started wearing maternity trousers to work and my friends said how they shaped my little bump lovely and made it look like a proper baby bump now. But then I was talking to another colleague and mentioned I was having a baby and she looked me up and down and went 'REEEEEAAALLLY????!!' and looked completely gobsmacked. So I guess I do just look fat!

I told a couple of pupils - one older one is really excited and thinks I should name it after her. The other (a younger boy) just looked freaked out and stares at my stomach every time he sees me now, haha.

Mellie, cross posted with you - congratulations on your little boy! Now you can start planning what to buy properly!

Ive got to start wearing my maternity jeans to work soon. Work trousers are getting too tight. But my tops are all baggy so still think I'll look fat.

I know, already brought one baby outfit. Went to next to buy some stuff but it was only a small branch so they didn't have what I wanted. Making my boyfriend take me the bigger branch later on.

NJP, Are you going to have an early scan or waiting till 20 weeks?

I'm waiting until 20 weeks . I could get a private scan but kind of don't want to waste the money when it could be used for baby stuff.

I keep having dreams that I've had the baby & been sent home with it, when I get home I realise that I was only 16 weeks and it's really premature, but someone reassures me that it's fully formed and weighs 9 or 10lbs so I shouldn't worry, but I still do. It's always a boy in those dreams.

Oh thats a really strange dream. Have you got fears that baby is going to be early?

I really enjoyed our scan. Was lovely seeing my mom and best friends reaction to it. They were both so amazed asking loads of questions. The woman before me demanded her money back though because she said she wasn't in there long enough. Was very awkward, but I was in there ages she showed me loads

NJP I bought some stuff a little stick thing called 4head it's really quite good just put it on forehead like a lipstick for ur forehead haha. It cools and tingles and takes away the headache maybe only for a little while but better than nothing. :-/

Had a dream last night that I went for my scan n the guy was like it's too early come back in another week. He refused to even scan me at all n Iwas like but can I not have a quick look whilst I'm here. He was horrible. hubby missed it coz forgot so we fell out n I was alone it was dark n had to find my way home bit scary to be honest coz I was so upset too. Hate stupid horrid dreams!!

Had my sister's over for a sleepover last night and lay in bed trying to work out if I could feel any fluttering. I'm still not sure :-/
As for baby bump I've gone bigger but like u all keep saying it's just fat haha. Ppl keep saying to me u are coming on now n I'm like nope just bloated n overweight haha. Some low down is baby growth but above belly button is pure bloat and fat! hate it. Hurry up baba u need to show everyone I'm pregnant haha xxx

That's how my bump is, it's just fat on the top half! It's quite a firm bloat though, feels relatively hard (under the layer of fat!). The bottom half is feeling more and more rounded now.

I'm not anxious about being premature, not sure where my dream is coming from, perhaps it's just excitement of dreaming about the baby arriving but then my conscious pokes into the dream going 'hang on you're only 16 weeks'. Strange how time and places get distorted in dreams yet I'm clear about what pregnancy week I'm on, shows how much I think about it!

We got a new bedroom TV yesterday, oh it's great! Our old one broke months ago but we've only just got around to replacing it. Went to Currys and looked longingly at the £4k curved, ultraHD types. They look lovely but I could never justify spending that on a TV! I'm begrudging spending that on a new car.

Applecrumble, I think it was nearish half and half from my 12 week scan, maybe a few more boys. The nub was a blur though so was tricky to work out.

I found out yday I have an anterior placenta so looks like I wont be feeling much movement for ages which is rubbish. It's just going to make me worry.

I haven't recalled any dreams I've had for ages. Hope I don't start having horrible dreams think im going to find it difficult enough to sleep when im bigger.

We nearly had to buy a new tv yesterday. Somehow we lost a dvd imto the back of it. Think my OH did it deliberately because he wants a big one for the bedroom! Haha a new cars meant to be happy, not begrudgingly!

I'd rather just keep my car! It's a 5 seater and we're already 5. So we need a bigger one. But my eldest stepchild is planning to go to uni in 15 months and we currently never go anywhere as a fivesome, so it seems a waste. But I know if we don't upgrade we'd regret it. I could just do without a new loan as I'll be unemployed from September.

Lol at your OH! I wanted a SmartTV but we realised we can just plug the laptop into the new TV and get Netflix etc that way. Probably better anyway because I like unblocking online and using Netflix US too.

That's a shame about your anterior placenta, but at least you have a reason not to feel things early so try to bear that in mind when you are worrying. I would say don't worry, but you will anyway, we all do.

Yeh I'm exactly the same it's really hard and firm on top but lower belly defo starting to round out now. Just hate the bloating. :-/ want the top bit to bugger off then I'd have a nice ish bump. Haha. Maybe! :-/

Ooh yeh we got a new bedroom telly it's fab. Could never spend that much. And I know what u mean hun getting a new loan would frighten me I'm on the cusp of being completely debt free thank goodness coz come September we will be struggling like mad!!

Kaa, I'm in the North-West, sort of Liverpoolish way. What's your plan work-wise? Are you just going to take the next academic year out?

I know my parents plenty of money to loan me some for a new car, which would be easier than risking defaulting on bank repayments, but we loaned the money for this car from them (and paid it all back in a timely fashion) so I don't feel like I can ask again.

Im thinking of investing in a netflix account for when im home more. I normally just download programmes at the moment (which is naughty!)

My pushchair and car seat have finally arrived at toys r us. Im so excited. Need my OH to hurry up and finish work so we can go get it.

Ohh I just went to a girls house that I used to work with. She had a son in January. She's just given me 3 big bin bags full of baby clothes most of it worn once or never at all. Im so happy, its like Christmas!!!!

Mellie, that's fantastic! If I have a boy, I'm hoping for a few bits from my cousin, but don't know anyone who's had girls recently, or is due to.

What pushchair are you getting?

Netflix is good, but there's loads more on the US one. I tried using Hola unblocker as it's free but sometimes it doesn't work so I am going to pay for UnblockUS, it's only about £2.50 a month and if I find I'm not using it, I'll stop it again. Switching to other regions isn't illegal though it's not actively encouraged by Netflix but I googled and can't seem to find anyone who has had their account terminated for doing it. I think it's good value, considering I currently pay £10 a month for Lovefilm/Amazon and never use it any more - going to cancel that one.

I need to look into it properly, won't have change to watch things until I'm on maternity leave though I imagine. And thats probably only until baby is born.

I know, I'm so happy with it all. Its nice stuff too. We knew we'd get stuff given to us if it was a girl because of my OHs sister. But this was all a total shock!

Im getting the maxi cosi elea, in red! Its one of the only pushchairs that'll fit into my teeny tiny boot. OH needs to hurry up hes still not home and toys r us closes at 5!!

We had Netflix and got rid. I'm hoping to read more whilst off. Got lots of company during summer hols but it's September onwards I will be lonely :-/

NJP I'm in north west too. Near Wigan. So not far from lpool. If ur alone too in Sept we could do a spot of baby shopping!

Aw ace what's the pram hun. I like the haulk travel system. 256 in asda direct. That'll do for us just need to arrange paying for it now haha xx
