**** November 2012 Mummies **** (everyone welcome)

can't upload more photos for some reason! :wall2:

sally-just wait till OH gets home, he maybe didn't think? You know how men can be

I'm not sure exactly how much weight I had put on during pregnancy, maybe near to 3 stone? I know that I am 1 stone off my initial booking in weight which I am pleased about. I really have lost my appetite so this is probably why I have lost a lot of the weight. I'm hoping to start back in the gym either this week or next, need to get a good sports bra first, I don't want milk escaping everywhere!:shock:

xx

chloe, Madison does this sometimes! Falls asleep put her down and shes wide awake! I've taken to leaving her on my chest and having a snooze myself :) Lovely photo of Lyla, I had the same babygrow for M but she's out grown it!! :,(
Hope your well lovely x

I put on 3 st during pregnancy, I have lost a stone (but it was lost by night sweats etc with excess water ewe) so I have 2 st to lose and I am dreading it. I have lots and lots of stretch marks too....I LOVE the eat chocolate idea, oh! I'm already doing that...:s grrr.

If someone turned up at my house right now I would turn them away! I would be furious is my oh did that to me. We r just expected to drop everything (hard work) to let someone in the door and take away the hard work just so they can cuddle them and make a mess themselves. No way. Angry I would very well be.

Massan is weighing in at 14lb! I'm on 3-6 month clothing!! Shocking.

He is a lovely big boy Kelly - better for them to be big! All it takes is one bug and he could be off his food so best he has reserves hey!

I am not on FB Wilson :oooo:

Chloe, are you familiar with Wonder Weeks? Sounds like Lyla is going through her first leap - Google it hun!

In other news my poor little man has oral thrush!!! Just been to another baby clinic to see HV and been prescribed Nystan - 4 times a day for a week.

Bub is fine in himself and still eating etc.. I feel so bad as had MIL not pointed it out I would have just thought it was milk residue

xxxxxxx

They stayed two hours, I am fuming! Expressing now and this is the fourth time today, nowhere near enough, im going to have to cluster pump all evening to make it back up and even then I probably won't get enough milk today. I am terrified of losing my supply :(

They asked if they could feed Cathy and didn't use the muslin I gave them and then were shocked when she dribbled and soaked her clothes they then decided she had to be bathed 2 hours ahead of her bedtime - she is laid in her basket now so confused bless her :( and my new breadth pump still hasnt arrived argh! Not having a good day xx

Chloe - Lyla is so beautiful. It does sound like she is going through a leap. Olivia just had her 2nd one and it was not nice but at least you know there is a reason.

Sally - i would of been so cross too. Things (almost wrote thongs!!) like that irritate the hell out of me.

Nat - O had oral thrush at 1 week and it didnt make her ill/upset. She had 2 courses of medicine which never cleared it up completely and the rest just went on ita own. I thought it was thrush and asked 3 MW's who all said it was milk residue til i met HV who said it was thrush. She had it all inside her mouth at that point so maybe thats why it took longer to clear, so dont feel bad even professionals dont always know.

Mrs woody - i love madisons chubby cheeks! O has them too - she also had a few chins lol.

O just had her jabs and she screamed!!! It was so awful. OH is so soft that he didnt want to come cos he would of cried so i had to be the bad guy. I took my mum with me - dont do it alone guys.

We brought a new car today! I had a three door and it was a nightmare so now we have a nice new 5 door car and its so so much easier xx

ooohh sally yr stretch marks look raw n painful xx

They aren't now - I remember feeling one happen though, that was bloody unpleasant! I know they'll fade with time though :) it's weird because my bump was really neat, guess my skin just wasn't very elastic despite slathering every oil/cocoa butter thing on it that money could buy?! xx

OMG this thread moves so quickly - I want to comment on all your posts, but I can't keep up.

J eventually slept in his crib upstairs from 7pm to 10pm and then went back after his late feed. Unfortunately he woke at 5 (as well as 2.30) for a feed and then wouldn't go back because he woke up too much when he needed a nappy change. Still it was a great improvement to have the evening to ourselves.

Tonight he is crying constantly while we try to settle him though. I'm not sure what to do - baby whisperer says to leave him in the crib and keep patting and shushing him, but what if that doesn't stop him crying? In the end I left my husband up there because I'd spent an hour feeding him and trying to settle him. I'm pretty sure he's taken him out to cuddle him while he falls asleep. We haven't even started dinner yet, we're having pasta from store cupboard items because the chicken I bought the other day is out of date (and smells) and I didn't even notice!

I gained 3.5 stone during pregnancy. I've lost 2 so I have 1.5 to go. I'm not to worried, I've started back running now, so I imagine it will come off soon enough. I'm more concerned about getting my fitness back.

I know how you feel L_a I'm sure someone said something to me a while back which I totally ignored by accident - I'm on my phone most of the time and typing is SO slow it's hard to keep my thoughts together!

I've read the baby whisperer book and I do use some of the techniques, like the shush pat, but I am always concerned that she has a soiled nappy/is starving/has trapped wind so how do I not check? Probably the best thing I've picked up off that book is not to interact with them at night-times, it's really helped her being so alert at night (although it isn't helped by OH steaming in from work at 11pm, picking her up, squealing "HIYA BABY GIRL! DO YOU NEED A NAPPY CHANGE?" and zooming through to her bedroom going "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"... :wall2:) but yeah I am also confused about what to do at certain times.

To be honest I've read a lot of parenting books and have taken everything I've read with a pinch of salt, but I use the bits that work for us so it's just a total mishmash of everything. At the end of the day you know what works for your baby! Hope he settles for you and you get some food hun xx
