I am trying to keep James in a semi routine but I am terrified of the crib - he hates it - selfishly I have chosen sleep over having a very unsettled night to get him used to it
OH isn't back until Monday though so I should start getting James in crib whilst OH doesn't have to get up at 6am.
Bath, bottle and bed may also be a challenge as James hates getting taken out of the bath. It is the only thing, other than being hungry, that makes him scream hysterically...
mrswoody, going to back to your question about maternity leave I have a year off so am due back on 28th October 2013.
I knew all along that I'd only want to go back part-time so I will have to discuss this with them. I work for a software company (I deal with annual contracts for about 500 clients and am a fee earner, our department of three people takes about £2.5 million a year) and I have been there for 11 years.
It is mainly men that work for my company and they've never employed anyone to work part-time? Only two women before me have been on maternity leave and they both ended up not coming back.
My contract states they will have to keep my job open but it will be my full time job, they have no obligation to cater for me wanting to go part-time.
My plan if I cannot go part-time is to look for admin work in a school / college or uni and I eventually want to retrain as a teacher. I have a degree so would just need to do a conversion course and my training.
I don't even want to think about going back to work but I must confess it stresses me already
