Hi everyone I'm not keen on homebirth either, with my little girl's birth everything I didn't want to happen did (bar a C-section) so this time I'm hoping for the water birth on MLU that I wanted with her but there's no chance I'll be making a birth plan as I have experience of how far off plan they can go haha. Will just go with the flow. I'm hoping to stay at home for as long as possible but more than happy to go in if I need to as well. My only big concern is I had an episiotomy with my LG and I'm worried it'll tear next time, I had quite a bad recovery with it so would hate to have that issue again but my midwife has said that if the midwife during birth is doing their job properly and I listen to them it should be ok.
We've changed our gender scan to tomorrow now as hubby wants to start building and working on the new kitchen Sunday. I am SO excited I cannot wait for my little girl to see the baby on the screen and to know the gender Nikki what time is your scan? Mine's not until 2.30 but we have lots of deliveries coming up to lunchtime so hoping the day won't drag lol x

I suppose pregnancy starts to feel like it's going quicker once you have more to look back on as perspective like life...

Lisey your dog sounds so sweet, do you mind me asking what breed? If I did have a home birth my dog would stay in the room if he wanted to, but I'd tell him to go and lay down in his bed if I needed space xx

He is a shih tzu cross. He wouldn't be good at staying in one part of the room, he would go and then come back several times xx

mrs my scan is at 11:45 so exciting!! good we are having them on the same day do you have an inkling as to what yours might be?

I will tell you girls the gender we are going to tell family and then I'll announce it on Facebook and on here lol its so funny because all the girls on here think boy from my scan pic and all my friends here think girl apart from 2 of them lol I honestly have no idea this time though!

Betty MLU is midwife led unit - so it's in the main hospital but away from the labour area and solely run by midwives so it feels like home from home with the comfort of knowing you've only got to go up in the lift if there's an emergency
Nikki I am adamant it's a boy! I've just had a feeling from the minute I got my BFP. Everyone is pretty split with my guesses pretty much 50/50 lol. My little girl does not want it to be a boy :/ She's 3 in March and everytime we explain it might be a boy she shouts 'no it's a girl' at us! I'm actually worried she might cry if it's a boy lol! Hoping the fact she will see the baby at the scan will distract her enough if it is.
Yes I'll be letting you guys know We're going to tell immediate family tomorrow, extended family Sunday and then friend's and work Monday before doing a social media announcement! We never done a social media announcement for my LG gender so thought it would be nice to do one this time x

I really have no idea lol think I've convinced myself it's a boy because I already have 2 boys so thinking a girl is out of the question! my oh already has a girl but he's not bothered either way. both my boys want it to be a girl lol

I've been convinced this is a girl and now I'm scared I may be a boy and I'm not prepared! Ultimately I don't care but I've been having so many grl baby dreams it will be weird if this is a boy lol. Maybe he will be a crpas dresser lol

MrsL my son is 2.5 and he gets raging if you suggest the baby might be a girl! My wee girl wants it to be a girl so they keep having big arguments about it haha. The latest one was to do with hair type as my daughter thinks it will gave curly hair like her and my son...well he just likes to disagree for the sake of it! 2...such a lovely age!!! x

I wanted a natural birth but now I am doubting that because of the placenta, will just have to see how baby grows but any doubt and I will be asking for a c section!
