May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Whooping jab done yesterday, sore arm now! Hope it doesn't last as long as my sore arm after the flu jab! I also had my 24 week midwife appointment today (bit early as they only do one day a fortnight and I'm not able to do a date any closer to 24 weeks). Heartbeat all well, my blood pressure is back to normal after the last time when it was a bit high, she was happy and has booked me in for 28 weeks now. She has also given the ok to choose either an English or Welsh hospital and will copy all my records over depending where I choose.

I'm stressing a bit about our heating issues. We have to have all the carpets and floorboards up upstairs so that means I have to pack up every room and move all the furniture out. Downstairs could be even worse but we are sorting upstairs first then hoping for the best! Starting in Feb so I've got a while to pack everything up ready... Taking down Christmas tomorrow too and will get oh to put all that in the loft for me, then that should clear a bit of space to start packing up....

It sounds like lots of you are having lots done to your houses. We are only doing our room and that is stressing me out enough!!
Snowbee, I am glad all was good at your appointment, the more regular appointments start now I think. My OH and Mum asked me the other day when I am seen at the hospital again, I said, so long as the midwife thinks all is ok, the next time I am at the hospital is to give birth!! That made it feel so real xx

12-14 hours?! Ok, I'll stop worrying now. Typically, the second I posted I felt a little nudge :)

Im hoping my consultant will discharge me soon but i am getting more frequent heart palpitations hoping she just says it's anxiety I've never really had anxiety but they mentioned it a few times last year. I'm tired of putting stuff on ebay lol. I'm half way through the first batch lol. Husband and sons stuff. Then more of his baby stuff to go up then I need to get the next bag out. So I know what I'm doing next mon - Thursday lol. Hoping to have most the spare room on ebay by Thursday and what doesn't sell is being binned. Or charity shopped. No more clinging onto stuff. Really want a KFC too lol I've had 3 recently it's naughty to have a 4th.... isn't it? Maybe? Lol

Have the KFC, the baby wants it ;)

I get what you mean about the ebay selling. I sold some bits before Christmas and I have decided I am taking everything else to the charity shop, I don't have the patience for ebay. Plus, once I sell it and pay the postage and fees, I didn't really make enough back to warrant the effort. I have so many DVDs that I am going to be taking and prob some toys. I always take clothes to the salvation army drop off bin things.

Sorry you are getting palpitations again, do you feel on edge or anxious? It could be pregnancy related palpitations like what I have been having. The doctor is referring me to a cardiologist, prob be months before I am seen!! xx

Until the crash I could say no I didn't feel on edge or anxious at all but I have been "off" since it happened but I was getting the palpitations from before that. I know what you mean about the fees and postage I use my hermes as it's easy and cheap I've just put it into loads of bundles. Im treating it as almost putting in this effort so someone else can clean my house lol.
Actually that's a good point one suitcase and onr full toy box to sell are full of baby toys which i may well mee again now that may net me more money by not buying stuff than it would by selling it lol.
I hope the cardio sees you soon. The waiting can be so annoying. My work has booked me the whole day off for my consultant appointment which is good coz last time I was seenot hours after my appointment time.
Hubby just suggested pie and mash.... mash tops KFC lol plus I'm living being able to keep down coffee again . Lavazza decaf tastes just like normal coffee I'm loving it!

Oh I am back on decaff coffee too. Delicious :) I still can't drink tea though. Makes me feel sick.
It's understandable that you would be on edge after the accident but if you had them before then it's good you are being seen xx

Aye. It's been booked in since I was 7 weeks pregnant that feels so long ago now! But yet can't believe it's next week I see her again. Yeah tea is still off for me too I think it's the bad aftertaste of the caffeine.

We have decaff tea, can't even manage that!!
You had to wait that long. The baby will be here by the time I get seen!! Xx

I can stomach pretty much everything now.

Had such a hankering for a chicken chow mein last night, it took all my willpower not to order a takeaway at nine o clock last night!!

XX

I've not had a kfc for years and years! I bet it would be 2002 ish, one of my friends and I used to get one once a week and rent a film, now I really want one again...

Off to look on ebay for all these bargains ;)

I've sorted out a box of things that are nice enough to sell so I really should list those when I get back from France and have had the heating mended to try and pay some of the bill!

Local buying pages on Facebook can be good for selling stuff as no delivery or fees. Also good for getting bargains. I got 2 mothercare stair/safety gates for £5 each xx

Jealous of you guys who will actually have houses sorted when baby arrives! We have no space in our house. It's a tiny 3 bed and there's 5 of us in it already. I actually had a bit of a meltdown about it all yesterday because atm there isn't really anywhere for baby clothes or space for it to sleep past 6 months! We have land with planning to build a house and that should at least get started this year but it's so hard trying to plan in the future when I don't know where we're going to be at what stage! If we're still in this house when baby outgrows crib I will need to get one if these super duper custom built bunk beds I think with cot bars built in! X

I'll be in a small two bed terrace. We're currently trying to move my house stuff into his, which is stressful. We'll be using the second bedroom as an office and spare room until baby needs a room. So there won't be a nursery. Then I'm not sure what we'll do! Hopefully move somewhere bigger.

We have a 3 bed semi so son will move into the double room and his toy boxes from downstairs will be moved upstairs baby will move into his room so need to get 2 bedrooms worth of furniture not planning on buying hers just yet as she will be in the moses basket for a while. Just don't know what I'm doing with the laundry that's currently in what will be sons room. He may have to share with 3 maidens lol. We have space to extend another 2 rooms above garage later on and I do plan on doing a garage conversion. I would love to put the kitchen and a dining room in the garage and have the kitchen as a utility room.... but..... first I need to win the lottery

Ery, I am with you. Unusually for London, we have a lot of space at side of house. We could build a whole other house but we need to win the lottery. Anything in London seems to cost 500 times more which isn't fair xx

We're buying a 2 bed 1st floor flat in London. We had to move back to SE to afford it. The second room will be used mainly as a spare for the first 6 months, but the baby's clothes will be in there too. We do have a loft space we can convert as it's share of freehold. Others on the street have clearly had planning permission to extend the roof for more space in the loft, so we're hoping to convert to an en suite bedroom. That will be for an au pair at first- so much cheaper than nursery.

We are hoping to have a second child whilst still in the flat though. It's our first purchase, so it's a 5 year plan. After that we may consider Kent to get a house with a garden and some space. I miss a bit of country. I'd move even further from London, but my dw's job is reliant on her being able to get into central London and she wants to keep the commute down to make sure she has as much time at home as possible.

I'm still researching prams & pushchairs. I'm wondering if I really need a carrycot. Those things add so much to the price. I like the Baby Jogger City Mini, which my friend has, and it's under £300. They have a carrycot option, but that would be another £140-199. The only downside for me is that the seat isn't reversible. It's so light and really easy to fold, handles well and is sturdy. Their girls look so comfy in it, especially when they are in the foot muffs. Do you want the carrycot or not? Do you keep searching for one that comes with a carrycot for £400 or less? I'm just conscious of all the outgoing money with the flat and the baby and the fact that I'll be on maternity pay soon enough.

I think I just felt my little boy responding for the first time. I was rubbing around my belly button and then felt some kicks in response. I'd stop and go again and he'd kick again. Or maybe is was just a coincidence. I don't know, but I want that to happen more often.

Someone will have to explain to me! - for the first few months when the baby sleeps in your room, what does it sleep in? I just imagined it'd go in a cot? I have no idea about these things!
