I saw bump move for the first time this morning when I was in the bath, just little jerks. Its funny as chatting in Emilys journal about it yesterday. My order from mothercare sales has arrived, I love baby stuff. I went through all the sleepsuits and things that I have so that I know what I do and don't need now. I have about 12 sleepsuits for 0-3 and just a few newborn. My son was 9lb 1 so if she is like him, she won't be in newborn stuff for long. I hope I haven't gone overboard with the 12 sleepsuits. I actually didn't realise I had that many, I thought some were 3-6. Oh well, I am not taking them back and I love them too much anyway xx

I found some nice stuff on mothercare clothes wise, lots of the bits I got were half price xx

I wanted the bambi one I saw online but I ended up getting mine from store and as it's only just over a week till 37 weeks and induction has been discussed for 37 weeks I didn't want to order in over Christmas period and have it not arrive in time as wanted them for hospital lol. I love clothes shopping for her soo much haha. Not bothered about my own clothes anymore but love her little outfits etc.

Next sale is on too but I didn't think there was that much. The George at asda sale had a few nice things xx

got my scan soon at 3pm taking my kids with me so hope they don't mind both of them being there but I don't have anyone to watch them! always nervous about this one incase they find anything wrong and hoping she is still a pink one lol

I got a few things in the Mothercare sale too as well as John Lewis and Debenhams. Ted Baker Baby was on sale at Debenhams so couldn't resist a few things. '

On the topic of in-laws. My OH's mum is fairly useless. I really don't think she'll be much use at all when baby's here. She also fails to think before she speaks. My OH spoke to her the other day and I could hear her say "and I hear you have a name sorted for baby" and then said the name and then she said "oh well, you might change your mind before she's born!" Grrrr, I definitely won't now!

Hi ladies I hope you all had lovely christmas'. Ours was so lovely although I'm now so poorly again! Horrible cold, chesty cough and voice is non existent. Meant to be back to work tomorrow but between feeling poorly and my spd playing up I think I'll call in sick and relax in bed. Had to take my little girl to a party today but left early and hubby sent me to bed as soon as I got home so I'm just watching my Gilmore girls boxset lol. Midwife is also doing me a referral for physio to see if it'll help the spd as some days it's so bad but other days it's not so bad. Honestly I had such a perfect, problem free pregnancy first time round this time is really taking it out of me
Good luck with the scan Nikki. I was so nervous for the 20 week one as you say they're looking at so many things to make sure baby is healthy I just find it nerve racking. We took our little girl with us as it was the afternoon before Christmas Eve so we had no one to have her and she was good as gold. She got a bit chatty towards the end and needed the toilet so hubby just took her to the loo and stayed outside for the last 5 mins rather than keep interrupting the sonographer.
Emily love the pink bits! We've managed to get loads of next sleepsuits in first size and up to 1 month so we're completely covered in those sizes including vests, got them all in the sale too so a bargain! Just need hubby to go in the loft and get all our little girls clothes out of the loft so I can go through them all and see what we will need to get for baby still. Thinking we need to actually start pram shopping soon seeing as I'm 20 weeks Friday and we are no closer to deciding lol. Want the icandy peach but this is our last baby (booooo!) so can't justify the price. Need to start buying little bits and pieces soon too, muslins, bottles, formula, nappies etc.

We aren't telling anyone any potential names (if we can ever decide haha) until they are here. I think it just avoids people giving unwanted opinions. We did discuss names over Christmas, my dad has offered a few suggestions! We have also done a bit of a guessing game with my parents and my in laws so we will see who is right/closest with dates, sex etc.

My in laws aren't too bad. My MIL died before we got married, my FIL is an alcoholic and did go off the rails a lot after she died, but he is much better now he is with his new girlfriend. He won't be able to be left with the baby though between his smoking and drink issues. My parents live too far away to do any baby sitting etc but I'm sure we will be able to work something out. Lots of people here are expecting at the same time so hopefully we can trade sittings when needed.

I've bought some stuff in the mothercare sale. I looked at a few other websites but didn't see much we needed. Out of the 'main' things we need we are down to car seat. I'm not getting a cot until they are here as hoping they will sleep in our room to begin with and a cot won't fit.

I'm really pleased with my pram, just nipping into work for an hour but when I'm back I'm going to get it out for a quick play and so my husband can see it when he gets in as he hasn't seen it in the flesh yet.

wasn't happy with my consultant. I've had 2 c sections and want a vbac I've done my research and the risks aren't much higher after 2 than after one and I've not tried before so I know so far that my body isn't stopping me. my midwife was supportive but he was not happy at all and started telling me how it's too risky etc but said he can't stop me and it's my decision so that didn't go too well!

Glad all was well at scan nikki. It's such a relief when that scan is done. Sorry you're not happy with the consultant, I guess he is just being cautious but it is frustrating when you have done your research and they still try to put you off xx

Sorry the consultant was a bit offish. Glad the scan went well though. Its not nice when we dont get the birth we want. Im so hoping i get to have a water birth again. Its just dawned on me we actually have to go through labour again lol.

We didnt have the luxary of keeping names secret we chose her name 15 years ago lol. Shes just took her time in coming!
