May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Full pay usually indicates some sort of enhanced maternity pay. Smp is 90% I think for 6 weeks then 135 a week for after I think (but remember you get working tax credits too) my enhanced is full pay for 16 weeks then smp but I've got to go back for a good few months after.

I bf on demand with my son to keep up the supply but he had reflux so half he drank came back up then he was hungry again!

Back to the bath thing...we had a baby bath which was fine but a trick I went with when my son was a wee bit older (maybe 2/3 momths?) was to just run a teeny wee bit of water in the big bath and then lay them on a bath mat in it. It's enough to keep them warm but not enough it gets in their face and means you can use both hands rather than have one trapped under baby. They LOVE being able to splash about as well :)

I breastfed both mine so I will again. I was lucky that I didn't have any issues with it at all and it helped me lose weight quickly! My friend is bfing her wee one and she wasn't doing it on demand for a couple of months because he had some problems but I think it was very hard. Definitely easier to do it on demand if you are breastfeeding. X

I really need to find out what my pay is! I will be going back after though as I enjoy my job and not too strenuous time wise. We won't get tax credits as OH earns too much to be entitled. They have really lowered the threshold now xx

I'll check my maternity documents and if needs be I'll talk to HR to double check. I know at least one colleague left straight after mat leave and didn't have to pay anything back but I'd rather check with HR to be sure.

I'm going to try and breastfeed but I have a massive phobia of doing it in public I suffer with anxiety anyway and dread people staring at me etc I lasted 3 weeks with my eldest but pretty much made myself housebound as he fed constantly my youngest went straight on a bottle.

we don't have a spare room just for baby so they will be in with us probably till they are 1 and we will decorate one end of the bedroom for them :)

I'm 17 weeks today, and still vomiting! The worst thing is that I have hip bursitis and it's waking me up so early. I woke up in pain at 3am today and didn't get much sleep after that. :( I hope I don't have to deal with this for the rest of the pregnancy.

Happy 19 weeks Ery and happy 17 weeks dovekie. I was the same with the sickness up until 18 weeks and it has eased off. I still feel queasy at times but manageable. I hope it eases up soon xx

Yes I thought I was over it but I threw up this morn. Cap half way to work and I think I left my door open back u go lol

It wasn't I did lock it doh. At least I'm getting done exercise lol.
I'm actually down to what I weighed before I was pregnant now!

Ery, I think we are going to have it on and off for the remainder. I don't think can suffer so badly for so long and then just be fine. I have had a few days where I have felt really sick and tried to force it up to get it out. Generally, loads better than before though.

I have my phone consultation with occupational health tomorrow to discuss going back to work. I really want to go back so I hope they agree. Still haven't got my ECG results, keep phoning and nothing. I called the hospital yesterday myself and they sent it on Monday so am hoping when I call today, they can tell me something. Not sure if I am going to have to wait for the doctor to review it as will be even longer. We will see xx

Took me bloody ages to get my results I mean months rather than weeks! Yea your probably right about the sickness thought it was too good to be true! I've gene feeling nauseous for the past week now I've been sick I actually feel OK again yay Im going to be duck in labour again lol ill try to miss the midwife this time lol

Months? I was told one week, 2 max! I want to be able to tell occupational health the results as I don't know if they will allow me back without them? xx

OK bad thing about over the bump maternity pants. You can't quickly and discretely pull your knicks out your arsearch or have a cheeky Lil itch lol

Hopefully they will rush yours through due to the pregnancy but yea mine and my friends were months. We had traces on in like October and got results in Jan time. I'm still waiting on my lupus test from 6 months ago lol

Oh hun, definitely give them a call if you're not feeling OK.

To be blunt, your oh has been behaving like a bit of a tool recently so I'm not surprised you're getting to the end of your tether with him.

Aww hun sorry your feeling so down! It's probably for the beSt you speak to someone hormones are likely to have a part to play bur your oh doesn't exactly make things easy for you!

Oh Nikki, I hope things get better.

I'm seriously thinking of taking tomorrow off. Things have gone insaine right now and I'm at the end of my tether, and not sleeping well isn't helping things. I feel like the walking dead this morning.
