May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

I think girl Claire... We've just had a feeling from the start. We all keep saying she, my dads even saying "my Granddaughter" so I'm kinda hoping we're all right (sounds aweful doesn't it). On,y one more week till we find out. Gona visit our folks after as we're off to Disneyland Paris the next for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Gina stop and get baby shoes in either pink or blue on the way to give to them in a box... EEEKKK so exciting

Hey girls,

Time is flying eh! Just popping in to say hi - I've been really busy with work/travel and also my nausea seems to be sticking around (and some days feels worse) ... so much for glowing during trimester 2!!

How is everyone else doing?

Also, am I one of the few who are keeping the gender a surprise? :)

x

Hey everyone. I’ve not been on for a few days as I’ve been waiting for a second scan at a different hospital which handles multiple pregnancies.

We’ve just received some difficult news; Twin 1 has a 1:18 chance of having Down’s Syndrome. We have opted out of the invasive diagnosis due to risk of losing one or both babies but paid for a NIPT screen which will tell us with 99% accuracy that DS is present. It can’t say if it is one or both but based on risks it would be assumed Twin 1 only. We just won’t risk their lives to find out for sure as it wouldn’t change the course of the pregnancy for us.

A bit emotional atm and won’t have results for at least 1 week. In case I don’t come on much, I hope you’re all well and things are going ok.

Xx

Awww CJ I hope your ok ((((hugs)))) both babies will be more than happy to have you as a mother, try and do things this week to try and take your mind of it a little bit I don't know what else I can say but I do know that my brothers girlfriends brother is Down syndrome and he's same age as me and he Is just like us in every way except looks he's the most caring loving man that's always got a smile on his face.
( I only came on to say seen midwife and listened to willows heart beat again just now)
We are all here for you CJ if you need us xxx

Oh CJ big hugs to you xxx hopefully the results will come back sooner than you think and you won't be waiting too long . We are all here for you if you just want a shout or cheering up. X

Oh CJ this is going to be a long week for you in limbo. I'm so encouraged to hear you won't risk your babies over this and hope for a good result for you. And if not, well, children with Downs syndrome can be so loving, even though there might be challenges people always say they learn so much from their special babies.

I've never changed a adult nappy thank god. I'm finding it worse emptying a poo in a potty than I ever did pooey nappies and we have a lid on Emilys potty lol

Oh they are lovely things to change especially if they have runs as you can imagine we've had to cut them out their clothes it's been that bad sometimes xx

Urghh my works guna love me but I've rung in sick again! Been up all night coughing and spewing I don't care if they tell me off I'll just threaten them with union but hopefully they will be fine they know I've had it rough these last few months xx

Oh no holli, you really have been suffering haven't you. Hopefully when you are over this the rest of your pregnancy you will feel better.

My morning sickness was back this morning, had to run to the toilet . Oh the joys .

I've got a sick note for another week and then got to see how Iam as will have had this cold and chest for 3 weeks then and they don't want me on paracetamol all time yet they want me to take it to help fight it and bring my temp down so it's like swings and roundabouts , one of girls who I work with was in doctors so she can tell them I was poorly she's taking my sick note in too for me as she's in this morning to do her care certificates, aww Claire I feel for you with the sickness it's no fun at all is it? I really thought we would of stopped by now but my midwife told me yesterday that it can last till birth so I was like thanks for depressing me lol! You'd think I'd be used to being sick by now but I still cry like a wuss really hate it, this little lady is giving me hell bless her good job she's more than worth it xxx

My sickness was a million times worse with Emily , I was sick especially when I was in the car up until she was born. I was even sick whilst I was driving that was not fun at all as I was driving along a country road and couldn't pull over.
