Mine never even mentioned if we wanted to know the sex with my daughter. Which we was team yellow then too so it didn't matter. We have a boys name already sorted as we will still go with what my daughter would have been called if she was a boy. We are kind of sorted with a girls name we have a couple in mind I just need to think of a one syllable for the middle name.

I'm at doctors this afternoon to see what I can have as I'm really full of cold and sore throat tried going to chemist last night but he refused to let me have anything with me being pregnant with out doctors say so! Fun at work today no energy was up from 1am feeling crap, my nose is bright red and cracked from blowing it all time my lips are cracked cos as much as my nose is running it's also blocked- so me gobs wide open lol! Roll on 2pm... also got midwife 16 week appointment tomorrow not sure why as I'm also seeing her 22nd xx

i'm not seeing my midwife til 20th dec, i'll be about 21 /22 weeks then.....

hope you find something to ease your cold, i heard sucking dark chocolate is as effective as sore throat medicine...

My 16 week midwife appointment is the 6th dec . Colds when pregnant suck's especially if it's a bad one as there's not much we can take for it .

How come your not seeing mw till your 22 weeks? Mine told me when I saw her at 8 weeks and wrote it in my bounty notes that she would be meeting me again on 22nd that's at my local doctor surgery and the one I'm at tomorrow is with a different mw at my hospital I thought it was same mw I was seeing till I looked in my notes xx

The flu vaccine will only stop certain types of flu . It won't stop you having a cold.

no idea. when i had my booking appointment at the hospital i'm changing to, they said i should ask for it to be sooner. i did call but didnt get through, so i dont know if i can be bothered. all they'll do is check blood pressure and urine anyway......cant do fundal height or anything at 16 weeks, and my blood pressure is always low....

just my booking one, and then i had one 2 weeks later which would have been 14 weeks, was supposed to be a consultant appointment (maybe just to go through care pathways as i'm over 40) but the consultant wasnt in and the midwife i saw said she didnt know why i was there, checked my blood pressure and sent me home! I rebooked at a different hospital and it was there they said i should ask for a sooner one. But i'm ok with waiting, this is my 3rd baby so its not the same as when it's your first and you have so much to ask about and worry about etc

Well if you’re happy with that and you don’t have any issues to discuss I guess that’s fine. I get a bit nervous about my midwife appointments to be honest, I’m overweight and I’m always worried they’re going to find my blood pressure is too high or I’ve developed diabetes and they’ll tell me off, I forget about any questions I might have.

This might change anyway, it has changed every scan I have had! Went from 11th. To 16th to 13th! 😂

Doctor gave me a prescription of 100 dissolvable paracetamol last night and told me to get some honey lemon juice and fresh lemons, he was worried as my blood pressure and heart rate was high so he made me do a urine sample which showed ketones in it but luckily not enough to be admitted to hospital I've got to go back if my colds no better in a week
Seen Midwife today whose put me under high risk and got to wait for an appointment to come through post to see consultant, it's to do with a few things - my allergies to latex if I need an emergency c section, high blood pressure and blood clots xxx

Hi ladies, sorry you're suffering Holli.
My 16 week appointment is on the 5/12 and thats it till I'm 24 weeks.
Just wondering if anyone else is on their second or more baby? Or is everyone first time mums?
It's my day off today and I'm so glad as I've woken up with a really tight chest and sore throat. Took my little boy school and then went back bed for a bit. Feeling slightly better but hoping I'm even better again for work tomorrow. Im a nursery nurse in the pre school room of a private nursery so not the easiest job to do when you are feeling under the weather.
