Ladies doing IUI or IVF - 2016 (11 BFPs so far!)

It's so hard not to symptom spot. At first I only had cramps and bloating then I started getting a bit tender boobs then waves of nausea. I was still so convinced I was out though!

Syd I was dreaming about you last night, I woke up and read your reply so you must have stuck in my head. You posted your bfp on here, a digi and 2 frer. So hope it comes true for you! Xx

Ah thanks Leah, I bring tests over from the uk and I'm pretty sure this time I brought a digi and 2 frers so here's hoping :)

I'm feeling okay thanks hopeful. Nauseous when I don't eat often and the exhaustion is hitting me, I'm dying on my feet by 8pm. I had my bloods done on Monday and my hcg was 720 so feeling more confident after that!

Excellent the ball is rolling for you. We had to take the consent forms home and didn't go back for 2 weeks, it felt like forever. When's your next appointment?

Hope you're feeling okay Millie!

Syd how are you? Xx
My pre planning appointment is the week after next :-) MrsS15 and great news about the HCG levels.

I have been reading through my info and I wondered what everyone's thoughts are on the extra's? Like the embryo glue and the scratch? xx

Hopefulmum, I had both embryo glue and the scratch for my January cycle. Obviously it didn't work for me but then I have no known issues with implantation so I don't think it would have made any difference. The embryo I miscarried at 8 weeks was pretty firmly implanted and stayed there a couple of weeks after it stopped growing!

My thoughts would be definitely go for it if you think implantation may be your issue but also maybe just go for it anyway on the basis it can't do any harm. Some places seem to do embryo glue as a matter of course now, I'm sure someone on this thread (or possibly the other forum I'm on) said their clinic does it for everyone. The scratch is usually offered after a couple of failed attempts but I specifically asked for it and they were happy to do it.

Thanks Syd I think I read somewhere that you are at Oxford? That's where I will be having my egg collection and ET, my clinic is a satellite of Oxford xx

Millie fingers crossed it's a good sign!

I had my dummy transfer and SIS today... a bit uncomfortable but not at all painful which is good. Found out that my AMH is 56 which is good, but they also confirmed that my ovaries polysistic. They counted about 25 follicles on one side and another 20 something on the other. It's weird though as I don't have typical symptoms of PCOS. It seems I'll be a high risk of OHSS so they'll keep this is mind when it comes to stims.

Hi Mrs law, I also used to have a high amh and was considered polycystic without having PCOS. I actually developed pregnancy induced OHSS which was possibly the most painful thing in my whole life (until I gave birth!) If you're doing ivf, you may find they start you off on a low dose of gonal, and only increase it when frequent blood tests and scans show you are not over reacting art a marginally higher dose.

Thank you, that's helpful to know! Can I ask how it developed during pregnancy?

Hopefulmum, good memory :) I was at Oxford. I had planned to go between Reading and Oxford but ended up doing everything at Oxford. It's a lovely clinic, quite new premises, staff are all really nice.

Leah, congrats again lovely. Our clinic book you in for a 6 week scan straight away (even if you get pregnant naturally) so I'm surprised they didn't do this.

MrsLaw - I'm like you and tinselcat, polycystic ovaries but no symptoms of PCOS. I was shocked when the not very sympathetic nurse told me. I do have heavy periods with bad cramps though and spotting so the polycystic ovaries may or may not be causing that. I over-responded to clomid (apparently that IS a symptom) so they kept a very close eye during my fresh cycle, used a low dose and I got 9 eggs (8 usable).

Hopefulmum - we are always offered the scratch and I've had it 2 out of 3 times. One resulted in a chemical pregnancy. They include the glue anyway. Personally I'd go with anything to help my chances.

Millie - everything sounds good! Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Syd - I really hope Leah's dream turns out to be true :-) xxx

Thanks again Katie. I got a letter from my clinic on Friday and my scan isn't until 3 weeks today when I'll be 8+4. I'm disappointed and anxious it's so far away but I'm hoping if I can wait that long it'll be worth it to see more on the scan! I'm already having nausea the minute I wake up and a lot throughout the day. I didn't expect it this quickly!!

What's happening with you Katie?

Syd how are you getting on? When is testing date?

Millie hope you're holding in there!

Hope everyone else is doing okay xx

Thanks Phonix.

Leah, testing day is Friday but I'll prob test Wednesday. I always spot 5-6 days before af, the only time I don't is when I'm pregnant so that's normally a great indicator for me. Of course I'm on progesterone now so won't spot anyway.

Lots of luck for Wednesday then. Only 2 sleeps to go! Got everything possible crossed for you xx

Got hit with tiredness today, really hope it means something!!
Disappointed that I haven't felt sick though
I just don't know :(

I definitely had the tiredness going on so super sign. Don't worry about the sickness, you might be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get nausea! Xx
