*** July mummies to be ***

So one day to go til Jaspers birthday!!

I have booked in a lovely massage and breakfast out with my husband on Monday, so I imagine baby will come before that to scupper our plans!!!

Hope everyone is well! After 14 hours of labour , roughly 15 stitches with only gas and air she was here

14.40pm

Contractions started at 12.50am coming every 5 minutes had a bath and paracetamol as told by triage. Pains were getting a stronger so went to be assessed at 4am , I was 2/3cm dilated. Sent home contractions then started coming every 3-4 mins. Had a bloody show which was quite heavy. I then couldn't bare the pains anymore at 11am so called triage again who asked me to come in. I was 7/8cm dilated and contracting every 1/2mins. The pain was so bad even with gas and air so I requested the pool or something stronger. Well just as I was about to get the injection of morphine I felt the urge to push and then she was here☺️ I had my waters broken by the midwife just as I pushed her head out. I honestly went to bed with no signs I even woke up for a wee at 12.30 and felt fine! It shows it can happen at any minute. I was 3 days early , I did however dance a lot the day I went into labour and bounced on my ball a lot and walked my dog further than I normally would! But not sure if it's coincidental!

Congratulations Meggiiii hooe your recovering well. She is beautiful. 6lb 4.5oz! Omg shes tiny.

Congratulations Meggi! She's beautiful.

Well I'm back in hospital for the third time this week.. just been into theatre for a blood patch to fix the spinal block puncture.. fingers crossed it has worked and the pain will ease. I'm currently flat on my back unable to move for two hours.. hopefully I'll be allowed home tonight but won't be able to do much for couple of days.. my little man is with my father in law tonight so I might get a little sleep.. miss him so much though, I feel like I've spent barely no time with him since his been here :(

Hope everyone doing ok, loving seeing the baby arrivals!

x

I seem to be no closer to labour than I was a week ago but HIGHLY emotional and VERY uncomfortable.

Jaspers party tomorrow. Then I will be seriously wanting this baby out with every ounce of my being. I cannot CANNOT be doing the school run again: it's become horrendous!!

Julybug i hope you feel better soon and that this surgery help ease the pain.

Salisburymum how long you got left? Did you get many labour symptoms on your previous pregnancies?
Atleast they only have a week left at school so you can relax abit in the morning then well as much as you can with hyper kids running around in the morning.

Congratulations meggie! Oh July big hugs Hun. I've stayed lurking to see your updates but I also need a safe place to rant, I'm 2 weeks post op and still not 100% DHs family have come to see us and keep asking to go into town for food this evening I'm just not well enough which I've said a fair few times now. I walked to baby group with my DH Tuesday gone and it did me in for 2 days so I shouldn't of done it I'm still exhausted after boobing all night too (2 hours this morning alone) am I being selfish in not wanting or feeling up to going for dinner? They don't come down often and I feel like I should make myself go? I'm still sore and the thought of clothes and not pjs is just urghhh worthy xxx

Oh good grief, Violet, please don't feel you have to do anything you don't feel up to. I'm banning all visitors for at least two weeks, longer if there are complications. A whole session of the antenatal classes I went to was deficated to recovery, and for good reason! Tell them to go out for a nice meal and bring you back takeaway.

July, sorry that everything has been so unexpectedly troubled. It'll get sorted soon and then it'll just be you and your wee man.

Huge congratulations Meggi!

Might not be a bad idea, I do feel better than I did I'm moving around more at least but I am still early days recovery so I just feel a bit bad may go to soft play for our niece and older boy but I'll sit out with baby I just can't do a lot right now and it is driving me mad but can't rush healing xxx

Curry and a shag for us tonight! Liam is buying me a properly sized birthing ball so I plan on bouncing this baby out!!

Oh wonderful trying to force me to go to a farm park that's 10 fucking acres! DH arguing to go because our niece was kicking off beyond fuming im not going to be made to do it I can't walk that far be great if I collapse. Xxx

Does your oh understand that a c section is major abdominal surgery? No way should you be over exerting your self right now.

Evidently not cause he chose a smaller farm park instead which I've sat in the cafe all day I've not walked around at all not enjoyed my day and cried most of it. I can't help not being healed yet. I don't want to be taking things easy I want to be back to normal but I'm not and that's just the way it is now xxx

Violet you need to get in bed with your baby and stay there!!

Farm parks?! What the hell!!

Agreed home now and on bedrest my stomach aches like hell xxx

Oh BOOO I am well and truly sick. Bah. Better now than when the baby arrives I suppose! This will keep labour at bay for a bit, right? Can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

Sorry you're sick Cool :(

Is it a cold or something worse?

I have woken up having painful tightening across my stomach and a very hard heavy bump.

Trying to have a bath tho relieve it now but think I'll spend most of my time on birthing ball today
