July & August Mummies <3

there is no reason the consultant just seems to aim it that way.
so babys 31.5cm and 4.6lbs estimate if she was born on her due date is 7.4lbs so happy with that :)
same @Kiwi_53 can it be over now :(

that’s such a pain they are leaning towards section, just stand your ground and express your wishes, especially when there is no reason against it :) Also lovely estimated size :)
My monster was measuring 4.13lbs at 31+5 so hoping they come a little early as don’t want a huge baby to push out haha :)

Weekend was lovely thanks. My little boy got to see his Nanny for the 1st time since Jan :D

Has anyone packed their hospital bag yet?
I’m just about to start ... it’s all getting a bit real now xx

Meh to my weekend.
Have been sleeping absolutely rubbish. Been struggling to get my daughter to sleep and then she’s waking through the night and getting up early. On top of me taking hours to fall asleep and then waking every hour to pee. So I’m just running on empty. So excited for the sleep deprivation that is yet to come! Haha.

I started my hospital bag a few weeks ago. Have been adding bits to it as I go along. Still not finished but it is already pretty full and heavy. I’m struggling with what sizes to take for the babies and how much... I have a 24 pack of size 0 nappies and the same of size 1. And then 5 x tiny baby vests and sleep suits each. I’m on a lot of twin groups though and they've all taking like double that! I might go through what I have in newborn size and add some stuff of that in as well just incase. I’ll see what they are at my growth scan on Wednesday so I have a better idea of what size they’ll be. Because right now I don’t have a single clue!

Wonder if your daughter is sensing something is up @mummybear2
Does she normally sleep ok?
I must admit I’m dreading the night feeds again!

Is everyone taking just the 1 bag? Or packing separate? xx

I pretty much have my bag packed as if I end up going south it could be sooner rather than later, but hoping not, it’s also so much more stuff I would need to take, so hoping to know more after my scan next Monday. As I will start to take things out of the bag then :) I feel so unprepared for baby, but also so ready for them to just be here. Not long now ladies :) xxx

I printed off a checklist from a website as a ftm I didn't know how much was needed to take to hospital. Havnt started to pack it yet but probably should and 2 bags 1 for me 1 for baby. Had enough of being pregnant now feel like a whale and the PGP pain is getting abit intense (but still not taking pain relief trying to build up pain threshold) and swollen ankles to add to it. 33+3 hoping to get induced 37/38 as being a bigger girl to begin with all this extra weight is starting to effect me :-(

I also feel like a whale. Trying to turn over in bed is no joke. I think I’ve put on over 2 stone by now. My poor back.

@MelC2011 I think it’s a case of having no routine. I share custody with her dad, and while he’s been furloughed he’s been having her 3 nights and then I’ve been having the next 3 nights. He parents different from me and so it’s hard to have any kind of consistency which is a struggle. No to mention being stuck inside with no nursery, can’t see her friends. And I am pretty useless at this point so probably not helping her burn off enough energy during the day. Some nights are better than others. I mean even if she did sleep great... I wouldn’t.

I was just going to pack 1 suitcase, but I think I’ll take an extra bag, just the changing bag. To fit a few extra bits in. Nappies or whatever.

Hiya just to let you know my due date is 29th august not July xxxxx

I can totally relate to that @mummybear2
My little boy’s behaviour has been a nightmare lately with no routine or nursery.

We still can’t decide whether to send him back or not. He desperately wants to go back and everyday he asks has the virus gone as I want to go back.
Breaks my heart xx

Nice to see you back @angel babe did you find out what you’re having or are you team yellow?

I don’t think we will have the option to send back to nursery now so that’s it until she starts school in August. Which is such a shame that she’s missed out her last few months at nursery with her friends

I have my next growth scan today at 1pm. I’m really nervous to see how the fluid is on Twin 2s brain. I really hope it hasn’t got any worse. At least I don’t have too long to wait to find out.

Welcome back @angel babe

How did your growth scan go @mummybear2?

Anyone else suffering with heartburn and acid reflux that cause you to be sick? I woke in the night and puked everywhere

Thanks for asking! The scan went good! Didn’t really get to see much of babies but she remeasured fluid and it all looks normal. Yay! So very happy about that.
Estimated weights are twin 1 just over 4lb and twin 2 just under 4lb and they’re on the 50th centile. So good sized babies!
I’m so relieved.
Had a chat about birth and she said we will book in my induction after my next visit in 2 weeks. She said they book inductions anywhere from 37 weeks until 38. So I will be excited when that’s done.
Both still head down so fingers crossed they don’t move and I can have my vaginal delivery!

Heartburn and and acid reflux have been awful. Luckily it hasn’t made me sick although I did come close yesterday, burped up what felt like pure stomach acid.
Have you been taking anything for it?

I can totally relate to the children misbehaving, my two are either as good as gold or a total nightmare, for attitude, sleeping, fighting with each other, and even there eating can be hit or a miss. This lockdown has thrown everything out of normal, but I guess we just have to keep taking it as it comes.
I have to had sickness and acid reflux for sometime, I just try and keep eating rennies like there sweeties haha I had this with my boy too and true to the hair growing old wives tale he cane out very hairy :)

@mummybear2 thats such good news about your scan, you must feel so relieved :) and fingers crossed they both behave and stay head down :)

I have been getting so many Braxton hicks this last while, I have also been sitting on my birthing ball to try and stay comfy mainly but suppose to be good for positioning the baby so hoping that if I get to have my natural labour baby makes an on time if not early appearance :) but knowing my luck they will hang in there till the bitter end, just to be difficult haha

I can sympathise with the heartburn. I've been on omeprazole tablets since 10 weeks this time and have ended up on them with all 4 of my pregnancies as rennies/ gaviscon just weren't doing anything. I certainly know it if I forget to take one in the morning and I did eat up throwing up the other day because of the reflux. Although even with the tablets I can still feel the reflux mostly at night when I lie down, but it doesn't burn or make me be sick just feel awful.

Amazing news about your scan, and such good weights too.
Won’t be long before they’re both here ... such exciting times.

I’m only really suffering with acid reflux when I lay down, well that’s when it’s the worst. It’s happened 3 times now enter I’ve been sick because of it.
I’m not taking anything, but maybe I should xx
