July 2019 mummies

Just reading all the good comments & how you’ve all lost weight!! I don’t know what went wrong with me then as I’m 9 weeks & have put on about 7/8 lb so far! I’m so hungry all the time. Not a great deal appeals to me but I make sure I eat something when hunger strikes as it’s just such an uncomfortable feeling that I can’t prolong ! I usually have a huge appetite for EVERYTHING but I’m so indecisive with what I want lately & definately not eating as much as I did before pregnancy that’s why it’s so frustrating how big I feel already! Just taken this picture! I feel humongous tonight ! I’m going to be the size of a house by the end ! Last/second child weighed 9.10lb at birth so maybe I’m set for even bigger this time!!
Just got into bed as was falling asleep on the sofa !

Hope you get some good new tomorrow Radleycat! Will be thinking of you.

Symptom wise I'm feeling the same as you are, very tired, sleeping a lot with nausea on and off all day, though more on than off today... Really hope this is not how I'm going to feel every day going forward now! But I expect it probably is... Though not complaining as it took long enough to get here lol. I'd rather be feeling sick than still wondering if I'll ever be able to have kids. So trying to keep a happy face :) despite feeling rubbish! lol

Good luck today Radley!

Managed to get an appt with the GP yesterday. I didnt have much of an AF after the coil came out (only brown spotting when wiping) so based on that I think I'm 5 weeks but she seemed to think I'm 6 weeks so she's referred me for an early scan:yay:

I look about 5 months pregnant:roll: The nausea stays away as long as I eat so i've now had to swap my beloved choccies for fruit otherwise i'll be HUGE by the end of the pregnancy:lol:

Had the scan and all is OK (thank foxtrot). There was no sign of the second sac but they reported that u have a subchorionic haematoma which may have been what it was on Saturday, they literally didn't say tbh.
Baby measured 5.9 and dated at 6+4 (was 6+6 based on last period) and HR 127. All looks good :)
They are OK with me flying and I have an epau appointment on Monday at home, we get back on Saturday night.

I don't think the relief has caught up with me yet, it's been an emotional week to say the least!

Thank you for all your support ladies, it really means a lot x

Does that mean it was vanishing twin syndrome then or the subchorionic haematoma was the "second sac"?

Either way, I'm glad to hear this baby is doing well and measuring good! Now you can feel more relaxed about travelling home, and hopefully your Monday appointment is just to confirm what you already know!

I have my booking appointment on Monday finally, feels like I've been waiting for it for a year even though it's only been a few weeks?! Currently sitting eating a bag of crisps at my desk in work to try and fight off this nausea, hoping no one thinks its odd because I never usually eat at my desk! I share an office with 6 guys though so I'm sure they'll be too oblivious to put 2 and 2 together right?

Also, I don't think DH realises how much sleep I need... he couldn't get to sleep last night so he decided to wake me up at 1am for a chat!! He wanted to talk about baby names... but I just wanted to sleep haha!

So glad baby is doing well. Hoping the epu can shine some more light on the subchorionic haemotoma. Iv heard women have had them before and they just absorb into the womb.
Hope you have a decent flight home
X

I don't know and the doctor didn't say. On Saturday there were clearly two sacs as far as we could see but one sonogrpahee said it may be a haematoma. We came away not knowing what to think and it's the same now tbh. There is a history of fraternal twins on my side (mum was one) so it could have been. Whilst I'm sad to think about that, we honestly don't know if it was. And I guess they will monitor the haematoma when I get home.

I'm just so glad to see a heartbeat still there and going strong that I'm happy either way. If it was vanishing and I lost one, had there not been two then I may not have a baby at all now if you see what I mean.

Just glad there is a viable baby in there making me feel sick all day and my boobs hurt, I'll never complain again!

That's good you're feeling positive about it, and yes at least you got to see the heartbeat going strong and that's good news! Try and enjoy your last day away now!

Just had my 12 week scan date through. Couldn't be at the worst time of day. 2.30. My kids finish school at 3pm. Now need to figure out what I'm gunna do with collecting my kids. It's last day of school so I might just send them for a half day. But then I need a babysitter

Can you get it changed at all Marvellous? Or is it not easy to do that? If not, have you anyone you can leave them with for a few hours?

Give them a ring, I'm sure they will be able to give you another ime

It's the last day of school. I needed the kids at school. If I reschedule itl be during holiday time. Which will be worse. May just have to go alone.... again.

Glad to hear it went well and you're feeling more positive! The main thing is you have a healthy baby as you say. Take care x

Radley glad to hear the scan went well.

Welcome Emmalouise!

I'm so close to telling people it's so hard keeping it quiet when you feel so crap!!! Especially with work.

Radley, so glad it all went well<3 You should get some definite answers on Monday. A language barrier is hard at the best of times let alone in such a worrying situation. Enjoy your last day and safe travels back!

Welcome and congrats, Emmalouise:wave:

Had booking appointment today. Midwife was lovely. Was there almost an hour. Started all my notes, done urine & bloods. She’s requested scan which I should receive in post within a week. She’s referred me to a consultant due to my sons (last pregnancy) birth weight (9.10lb) & loss of blood during labour as may need growth scans to check for gestational diabetes this time. Feels more real now!
