*July 2018 Mummies*

Does anyone else feel like every day actually feels further and further away from giving birth rather than closer?
A couple weeks ago I thought it was all going on with regular BH, baby was low and period pains all the time. Now I feel hardly anything in the way of BH and baby has started climbing and I swear he'll end up coming out my throat!!!!

I just feel less likely to give birth every second that goes by!

The opposite here actually. I feel that the due date is approaching way to quick and I am not ready for her yet. The only reason I agreed to sweep week 39 was because I don't want to be squeezing a chunk out of my bits... But I secretly hope the sweep fails and she comes on due date giving me another week to prepare... Weird, I know x

I'm a little lost tonight. Ivy is trying another night at her granny's house. I'm not sure if anyone remembers last time OH had to go around the corner and carry her home at like 4am lol. But she'll be staying there when I go in labour if it's nighttime so I'd like to make sure she'll be okay. We'll see lol

I wish mine was staying at grandparents tonigt.... Have you ever tried to explain to a 2.5 year old that it is not possible to switch off the Sun?!?!?! Apparently her room was too light to allow her delicate eyes to shut Wtf! Very stressful bedtime with more shouting than hugs and kisses which is the normal night at our house. Always makes me feel like a shitty mum when it happens.

I hope Ivy sleeps through the night x

Shan tbh I always thought 6lb ish was normal size and anything else was huge! That shows my mindset anyway knowing mine is about 7lb by now haha.

I do have my stepdad on standby, and I'm kinda hoping OH will feel too panicky at the time and decide not to drive! He failed on silly things, he knows he messed up but it was just nerves. He failed because he went from 3rd to 1st by accident. The examiner knew how important it was he passed and said he is a good driver just unfortunately he couldn't pass him. Such a shame!

Aw hope ivy gets on better tonight!

KHTW I feel like we've got everything pretty much ready and have done for weeks so it just feels like a waiting game and want him to hurry up! That is hilarious about your DD and the sun haha! Although not hilarious to you I'm sure x

Well she's home already  and in her own bed. I give up lol. Literally as soon as I posted she phoned to be picked up. She flipping begged to stay and we're 2 streets apart pretty much :wall:

KHTW we had that problem too I ended up buying blackout liners for her curtains to darken the room. Fking summer. All I heard was "but it's still daytime" at like 9pm. Don't worry about it hun, she'll not remember by tomorrow. I've had lots of nice "story, cuddle, hugs and kisses" goodnights. Annnnd lots of stressful "omg get in that bed and go to sleep RIGHT NOW" goodnights lol. You aren't a shitty mum, sometimes they just play us xx

Jem i thought that too lol until Ivy was born and I realised how tiny she was! I'm still taking their estimate with a pinch of salt. I hope he passes next time. Failing from nerves is definitely a shame xx

Awful shooting pains tonight. Those horrible cervix ones. Been on the ball to try and ease it. Don't think it's any sort of labour thing, just a very uncomfortable week or so left for me I think! 26 degrees tomorrow too FML

Oh no bless her haha!! Gonna be a nightmare if you do give birth in the night then!

Almost thought I was in labour a little while ago. Had contractions, which I let slide for a bit and then it was getting real painful. Went to start timing them and surprise surprise they've now stopped! Fucking BH I really thought something was happening for a min! Really don't feel right now though x

Woke up with a god awful headache kinda feels like it’ll turn into a migraine which I hope it doesn’t as I’ve loved not suffering with them the whole pregnancy!
Baby has dropped and my pelvis is so sore.

Off to the in laws today we are dog sitting for them while they have a night away, gunna be fun and games, their dogs and ours is 4 in total and when they are together they are total loonies! And when you need to rest one of them gonna be a fun!!!

Have a lovely day ladies.

Morning ladies.

Jem, how did your night Go? Do we have a baby?

Amy, have fun...sounds like a challenging but great day ahead.

KH, try and get some blackout material and just sew into the lining of your curtains. It really works and also helps reduce heat loss in the winter.

Just a horsey and decoratey day here. 4 sleep to go so really feeling the pressure now, lol.

Hey ladies, tried my best to catch up again but not sure how successful I was.

Shep- really glad to hear that you're feeling positive and enjoying the last stage of your pregnancy. Never worry about being "annoying" with that haha it really isn't the case at all and it's not rubbing our noses in it or anything. I personally am dead chuffed for you :)

GG- that sounds like a crazy few days with poor Dolly the sheep but then the new foal. Hope the new mommy is doing okay and is past the risks of colic. I don't know much about it I'll admit.

Jem- definitely get on to them again about redoing your birth plan (if you haven't already, I realise some days have passed since this was discussed). Your midwife sounds ridiculous and I would raise another complaint, about the fact your complaint hasn't been dealt with. Maybe they're hoping if they wait long enough you;ll have had the baby and the problem will just go away.

Shan- poor Ivy haha she obviously just wanted her home comforts and her mummy and daddy back. It must be tough to be worrying about her when she's at your parents house even though she's of course safe and everything with them but Im sure you slept better in the end with her upstairs. I totally understand the static growth scan stress this week. Really pleased to hear that they are happy with everything.

I'm really sorry if I forgot anyone. haha had pages to catch up on and my memory fails me

I've been off the radar a little as we actually ended up taking a small unexpected babymoon hahaha literally got up on tuesday morning like any normal day, hubby went to work and then when he came home my mum remarked on how he FINALLY had two days off this week on wed and thurs and how we should go do something. We ended up going through booking.com for a late hotel deal locally and literally booked it at 6.15pm and by 6.45pm were standing like two homeless people at check in. haha we up-ended the hospital bag into the baby cot and packed like we were on fire, and I swear, I must have looked a state- my hair wasn't washed, just in a messy ponytail, no makeup and I was wearing black leggings with a hole in them (didn't realise until I was there hahaha) and a massive oversized t-shirt! It was the most exhilarating, spontaneous thing we've done in ages though hahaha

Got into this luxury room...a "superior" room apparently and omg it was beautiful. I was in the door two mins, hubby had barely closed the door and I had stripped like in Bruce Almighty when he just raises his arms and drops them and the clothes fall haha Had probably the best shower I've had in my life. Got dressed, did hair and makeup in pure comfort and with loads of space rather than squashed in our one room at home with too much furniture and no mirrors haha Then we went to our favourite indian restaurant for dinner, and spent the rest of the evening enjoying the hotel room. There was no pressure to do anything or go anywhere like sightseeing or exploring cuz the hotel is on the edge of the town we live in so it felt like we were in a whole new place in the middle of the countryside and felt no guilt in just laying on our heads.

Had a hospital appointment on weds morning for a static growth scan and to recheck the "environment" like they did last week. It went great, they said that placenta flow was perfect, loads of fluid around baby, checked all BP, urine, baby HB as normal and then took all the measurements and said that they estimate her to be around 5lbs which for 33weeks and a bit is bang on what she should be. She grew from 3lbs 4 to 5lbs in 2 weeks and they're pleased as punch and so are we. So no more growth scans thankfully and no more weekly appointments, back to fortnightly! We celebrated at our second fav restaurant for lunch then literally lay like starfish in our hotel all night, ate dinner at the hotel and didnt move until check out on thurs morning - feel like a whole new person!!!

Anyways sorry for the long rambling post, hope everyone is doing well today hehe Hubby is at work and I've no plans so going to chill and I don't even care I'm not being productive . I'm growing a baby after all, that's super productive xx

Mare and foal are fine. Their owner is visiting this afternoon and they'll be going back out to the field so Dan will just have two horses in stables next week when I'm not here. I'm so relieved that pressure is off him and the foal is exquisite.

Now...to you. I LOVE how happy and refreshed you sound. You just described what your life will be when you move out of your mums, so I really hope that can happen soon. Sounds like a wonderful couple of days xxx

Morning all

Amy I hope it doesn't turn into a migrane, that's not the best start to the weekend

Laura I'm so chuffed for you you've had a good time sounds like bliss.

Have a good day decorating GG, can't believe you're counting the sleeps on one hand!

It's going to be "one of those days" here. I had some false labour last night, 3hrs of contractions at 10mins apart but once I got into the bath it stopped :( I'd got all excited but never mind, I know it could be days before it starts again. I was shattered so que dd waking at 6am and her volume level being at 100 from the minute she stirred. She's so full of beans today. About to go for a walk and have a tesco shop to pick up, full of pizzas, Turkey dinosaurs and general ket that husband can make for himself and dd. But that's about it for my weekend. Enjoy your weekend ladies

Amy, I hope your day turns out great and headache free!! Have fun with all the dogs Omg 4!! X

Laura, so happy for you, such good idea with your little babymoon! And great news re growth. Keep the positiveness up x

GG 4 day?!?! holly crap! I am soooooo excited for you and can't wait to see this little person x

Shep & Jem, damn the false Labour contractions! We could have had a baby to wake up to! Gutted for you x

I got up to pee last night and the pressure down below was unbelievable, like nothing before... Maybe she dropped a bit more?
DD slept till 8am and seems better today so we will go grocery shopping at Tesco and for subway.
Yeah I have a blackout blind and blackout curtains in her room but since the windows were changed we need a bigger blind and wider curtains that are due to arrive today and be put on tomorrow... One more bedtime. I hope it fucking rains tonight haha x

That sucks Jem, maybe try harder for tomorrow lol (sorry having a bad joke day) xx

I am coughing so much that it wouldn't surprise me if I coughed the baby up today!!!! x

Haha KHTW I had a sneezing fit yesterday and once I stopped husband was like "is she out then?"

I got so excited but after 2.5h of still just 10mins apart I figured a bath would let me know if it was real or not and sure enough that was it.

While I've had the 28th in my head for a while baby now has to come no later than that. Picked up my tesco order which included some posh duck pate which I got as my after birth treat, it's used by 29th and I don't want to bin it

Shep 28th/29th were stuck in my head for a long time also!! Having sweep done then so who knows :D Mmm pate sounds fine!!! Fingers crossed!

29th is my sweep so I'm assuming that will be me like it'll work lol. Your sweep stories sound awful!

Shep I had pains last night too and ended up in the bath at 3am. I was actually like oh fuck I think I might labour to OH. He was down steam cleaning the floors for me haha. Was nothing! I'm sure you're next though, not much longer you can go anyway

These babies!

Laura great news about scan!xx

I have a feeling I’m gunna be over due cause this madam is very comfy where she is. But a few of the family seem to think she’ll be early.

Headache is still there but luckily no migraine thank god!

All dogs are lay down fast asleep with it being warm which is nice!

Wait a fucking minute...

A sweep means the midwife puts their finger INSIDE your cervix?! Oh I'm not sure about that...just saw a diagram on google and no wonder its "uncomfortable". I can't believe how much pain I'm in but seriously I think my cervix just snapped itself shut lol

Yeah Shan it is not nice. If your cervix is favourable it could be quick and easy but otherwise she will ehm have to do some ehm stretching. Not a nice experience but I am hoping after DD1 has distroyed and stretched my lady parts to the max, it will make this process a bit more bearable!! X
