Hey ladies, tried my best to catch up again but not sure how successful I was.
Shep- really glad to hear that you're feeling positive and enjoying the last stage of your pregnancy. Never worry about being "annoying" with that haha it really isn't the case at all and it's not rubbing our noses in it or anything. I personally am dead chuffed for you
GG- that sounds like a crazy few days with poor Dolly the sheep but then the new foal. Hope the new mommy is doing okay and is past the risks of colic. I don't know much about it I'll admit.
Jem- definitely get on to them again about redoing your birth plan (if you haven't already, I realise some days have passed since this was discussed). Your midwife sounds ridiculous and I would raise another complaint, about the fact your complaint hasn't been dealt with. Maybe they're hoping if they wait long enough you;ll have had the baby and the problem will just go away.
Shan- poor Ivy haha she obviously just wanted her home comforts and her mummy and daddy back. It must be tough to be worrying about her when she's at your parents house even though she's of course safe and everything with them but Im sure you slept better in the end with her upstairs. I totally understand the static growth scan stress this week. Really pleased to hear that they are happy with everything.
I'm really sorry if I forgot anyone. haha had pages to catch up on and my memory fails me
I've been off the radar a little as we actually ended up taking a small unexpected babymoon hahaha literally got up on tuesday morning like any normal day, hubby went to work and then when he came home my mum remarked on how he FINALLY had two days off this week on wed and thurs and how we should go do something. We ended up going through booking.com for a late hotel deal locally and literally booked it at 6.15pm and by 6.45pm were standing like two homeless people at check in. haha we up-ended the hospital bag into the baby cot and packed like we were on fire, and I swear, I must have looked a state- my hair wasn't washed, just in a messy ponytail, no makeup and I was wearing black leggings with a hole in them (didn't realise until I was there hahaha) and a massive oversized t-shirt! It was the most exhilarating, spontaneous thing we've done in ages though hahaha
Got into this luxury room...a "superior" room apparently and omg it was beautiful. I was in the door two mins, hubby had barely closed the door and I had stripped like in Bruce Almighty when he just raises his arms and drops them and the clothes fall haha Had probably the best shower I've had in my life. Got dressed, did hair and makeup in pure comfort and with loads of space rather than squashed in our one room at home with too much furniture and no mirrors haha Then we went to our favourite indian restaurant for dinner, and spent the rest of the evening enjoying the hotel room. There was no pressure to do anything or go anywhere like sightseeing or exploring cuz the hotel is on the edge of the town we live in so it felt like we were in a whole new place in the middle of the countryside and felt no guilt in just laying on our heads.
Had a hospital appointment on weds morning for a static growth scan and to recheck the "environment" like they did last week. It went great, they said that placenta flow was perfect, loads of fluid around baby, checked all BP, urine, baby HB as normal and then took all the measurements and said that they estimate her to be around 5lbs which for 33weeks and a bit is bang on what she should be. She grew from 3lbs 4 to 5lbs in 2 weeks and they're pleased as punch and so are we. So no more growth scans thankfully and no more weekly appointments, back to fortnightly! We celebrated at our second fav restaurant for lunch then literally lay like starfish in our hotel all night, ate dinner at the hotel and didnt move until check out on thurs morning - feel like a whole new person!!!
Anyways sorry for the long rambling post, hope everyone is doing well today hehe Hubby is at work and I've no plans so going to chill and I don't even care I'm not being productive . I'm growing a baby after all, that's super productive xx
