How is everyone doing? I've been having some strong Braxton Hicks today. Scan yesterday at hospital shows baby is fine, but still small. Also in the last few days I've been getting some pain in what I can only describe as the bones you sit on, especially when getting up and at night... Anyone else have these? Are they pelvic bones moving as baby engages?

GG I too have a baby who is obsessed with being on my right side, so much so that that today I looked down and realised my belly button was 2 inches left of the middle of my bump!

This naughty boy is also enjoying exploring my chest cavity with his legs, feels like he's trying to push my lungs out of my body! Lol.

Hope everyone gets a good night sleep, my night last night was horrendous so clocking off early tonight. Zzz

I've been here Shanivy, just lurking with not much to add. Tbh I've felt a bit bad some of you are suffering so much when I generally feel really well so didn't want be annoying. Would love to volunteer to have next baby haha

Ah, bless you. I highly recommend a wall mounted fan with remote control. It oscillates around the whole room, we paid a bit more to get a nice, quiet one and it's awesome. We've had the babies glow egg by the cot for a few days now and it's great turning the fan on and seeing that even having it stationery so it's not on the cot, it quickly brings the temp down into the safe zone.

So I managed maybe 2 hours sleep, gunna be a long day had a text message to say the cellular blankets I ordered are ready for collection so my 1 job for the day.

For some reason I’ve been looking at food recipes online which I never do I’m not very experimental in the kitchen but really want to try something new.

Shep...really weird. 6 sleeps left. This time next week, I'll be on a ward with our baby waiting for Dan to arrive.

Love that you contemplated waking OH up, lol. Poor Dan had to be up early to drive to Shepton for work this morning and we found a sheep down when topping up the waters at 10pm. Vet here at 11.30, poor sheep put down, had been kicked by one of the ponies we think but the only way that could happen would be if she was stood under it and it kicked a fly off it's belly. The vet didn't believe me until she saw me leaning on the arse of one pony, Dan leaning on the arse of the other and the ponies were both being super gentle, as they always are to the two other sheep. They also wouldn't leave little Molly and followed the truck with her in to the gate as we took her to the yard. Vet was amazed...then I mentioned they were both Stallions and she genuinely shone her torch on balls as she couldn't believe how sweet and gentle they were. Poor little Dolly though

More nesting for me today and I have a livery coming back from the vets following an op tomorrow Morning, so need to sweep out and make up a stable for her.

Ahhh OH just shouted from the other room where he's watching the news "Jem you best bloody have the baby by the weekend, next week is a heatwave you're gonna suffer. Get that baby out" hahaha thanks. Omg I don't think I can do a heatwave in the 30s :'( I struggle so much as it is!

Shepherdess you aren't annoying just because you aren't miserable lol. Sure it's been almost nine months of us all talking to each other now. Don't stay away just because of that...at least one of us is getting an easy time of it. Xx

Generally feeling a little better today. Though I can't wait for nursery to end. Got cornered by the teacher this morning asking if I'm "still okay to come on Monday?" Yeah..Uh to what? "School trip" Fuck sake what was I thinking? Got a lift home from my FIL and fed breakfast so not a bad morning xx

Yeah shep it's actually refreshing to see someone enjoying their pregnancy and not struggling! Gives me hope it's not always bad and maybe I will have another haha (no seriously something amazing will have to change my mind about that!)

My sister is 36+2 and had midwife today, she is 5/5 engaged. Fml I will have a breakdown if she manages to escape the last weeks of pregnabcy and I'm still suffering and go overdue. Just my bloody luck!! Haha

Jem it's your sisters 2nd isn't it? 2nd babies are far more likely to bob in and out of engagement

My baby was 2/5 palpable at 37 weeks, 4/5 palpable at 38 and today 39+3 she's 1/5 palpable

Good midwife app for me today, head was nice and low, my BP and babys HR good. She's booked me in again to see me next Thurs when I'll be 40+3 but hopefully I won't need that appointment

It is her second yeah! Just be typical though if she comes first haha.

Omg shep it's crazy to see next week you'll be 40 weeks! You're very lucky to still be feeling okay X

Yeah pretty much means nothing with subsequent babies apparently. I've been 3/5 since 34 weeks I think. Will see what she's doing tomorrow after my scan. But midwife told me they can literally go down properly few hours before labour if it's not your first. I've no idea why that is though, anyone know?

Jem I agree with everyone second babies so whatever they want in there doesn't mean her baby will come first x

Not much sleep for me last night either due to DD's fever.

I am actually looking forward to heatwave... In Aberdeen that means maybe 20deg which is nice.

Appointment went well. Baby on 50th centile still, est. Weight at full term 3.8kg so still a little chunk.
I will get a sweep at 39 weeks and again couple days after and of nothing happen induction date is set for 7th July at the hospital. I am happy with that x

How do I get a sweep? My midwife is useless I get in there, she takes my BP, checks wee, measures bump and heart beat doppler. Then she says okay I'll put you in for 2 weeks see you later.
It's all rushed and I feel like I have to fight to ask anything, but I am really struggling with my SPD, I just don't feel like I can talk to her about it cos she seems to want me in and out!

I think you probably won't get a sweep with your first until you're overdue hun. But certainly ask your midwife at your next appointment don't just let her push you out the door. SPD may count as a reason for an early sweep xx

Yeah they normally won't offer a sweep until week 41 but you can ask xx
