*July 2018 Mummies*

Stupid Tapatalk cut off half my message and won't edit haha

With regards to the christening thing I totally get it with mums and their whinging. My husbands family is much bigger than mine (and nicer
so my mum always moans that it's all about them when it really isn't. We have to make a special effort to include them since they're abroad so we need to video call them etc but also cuz we got married over there my mum acts as if my mother in law was prioritised and got her sons wedding while she missed it. If anything because they're laid back and my mum the one who is hard to please it's more about her and trying to limit the melt downs and drama.

I'm still only 32+5 but congrats on everyone hitting the 37 and 38 week milestones. I'm super jealous as I feel like this pregnancy will last forever. Had to go yesterday for an extra growth scan as they think growth might be slowing but they were happy with the "environment" and blood/oxygen connection and fluid levels so then will get measurements done again next week that will give us a better picture xx

Very good to see you back Laura. Glad the scam went well and you get to see baby again...awesome..xxx

On my way to hospital now for monitoring as he's not moving again. How do you guys deal with the stress? What do they do?

Also had a really really dizzy spell and almost fell over in the bathroom, don't know what's going on with us today, hubby on his way home to take me in

Janeyjan they'll do your blood pressure and pulse and put twould belts around your tummy which monitor baby's HR and any tightenings you might have. They'll leave you there for a while usually 30 mins or until they are happy. Youll be given a little button to press evwrytime you feel baby move

That's what I remember from when I went in once last pregnancy

Good luck

JaneyJan let us know how you get on. Could be low blood pressure like Shep mentioned. And yes my trace was exactly the same too. I'm sure he's just being difficult for you hun, and will start bouncing about once you're there xx

I'm exhausted though had a lovely day at nursery despite the crap weather! Ivy's outdoor group made a camp fire and made sausages, toasted marshmallows and built a water slide. Amazing what kids can do with water and washing liquid lol. Was fab and she had a ball this morning. I'm so sore running around though!

GG beautiful names! Xx

Thanks GG and Shan :) I am going to try to be on here a bit more so I don't miss any more exciting news hopefully.

JaneyJan really sorry to hear you've been feeling dizzy and hope that everything goes well with the trace and you're both home safe and sound in no time. I can't advise much as when I went for reduced movements they did my urine test and scolded me for being super dehydrated, then they made me drink water while a midwife actually stood over like she was supervising me. They had a consultant come check me and did all the BP and other tests but it was all fine and was just severely dehydrated but luckily not enough for a drip or anything. Once I had been there ages and rehydrated loads baby started dancing away so they were happy and I've not had any issues since.

With regards to coping with it when I first started feeling something was amiss I was kinda chill and did the whole drink ice water, lie on your left for an hour thing to see movements as I was confident she'd just been napping. I'd been busy that day too so pegged it down to me just not paying attention. When she didn't move I then rang the midwife, didn't get through so rang the Emergency Obstetrics Unit who asked me to drink something fizzy and monitor it for 2 hours. When I still had no movement I actually burst into floods of tears and was shaking and all sorts when my husband was basically dressing me like a small child (I'd been in pjs) to go to the EOU. Big hugs as it is always a worry but you are definitely doing the right thing getting checked. Also if you go to them 3 times in a row on an emergency basis, even for different things, they book you in for a consultant appointment too at the hospital xx

Probably one of my last pics but feeling very pregnant now  Running out of clothes that fit and think I'm giving birth to a toddler!

Great bump pic hehe you look great!

I just had to go buy new clothes yesterday as I am seriously tired of struggling to pick out what to wear or wearing the same 2 tops over and over again and hoping they get washed and dried in time haha Finished my hospital bag too- got loads of black soft leggings and nighties and 85358953 granny pants - all in a size too big so they'll be loose and comfortable xx

Janet how are you feeling now? Babies like to keep us on our toes even before they are born! It could be growth spurt... I get proper dizzy if I get up to quick. Let us know x

Laura good to see you back! The next few weeks will fly by x

Shan than that looks like fun, I'd be tempted to go down this slide myself pregnant or not haha x

I honestly cannot get any bigger! X

KHTW you look very pregnant too haha...but you do look fab though!! Was freezing doing the water slide lol but kids didn't care with their little suits on. Xx

Laura I refuse to buy any more maternity for 3 weeks even though I whine (and sometimes cry ) every morning finding something to put on haha xx

Shan and KH, you both look fab! Not long now.

Hope baby is moving for you now Janey and he was just having a lazy morning.

I had an awful night, waking up at 4am with heartburn and then unable to get back to sleep between that and the heat. I gave up at 6am and got up. I'm now trying to get through all my work quickly today so I can have a nap on the sofa this afternoon before going swimming in the evening to see if cool water and a little exercise help my swollen feet!

Loving these bump pics!

I set up the swinging crib today and got all emotional. We've had it for ages but seeing it actually set up and ready to pop baby in had me crying! I surprised OH with it when he got home from work and he had to walk out the room as he was tearing up bless him haha.

Aww Jem that’s lovely.

Great bump pics not long for everyone now....

For all of those who have had babies before I have a question....
What can be some of the signs of contractions/labour. What to look out for?

Thanks KHTW :)

Shan I got a 2 pack of plain maternity t-shirts from Asda for £12 - one is light grey and the other is a baby pink. I figure that ill probably want something to sloth around the house in for afters too so I didn't mind as they're not expensive and actually are really nice quality/fit. It's amazing how just 2 extra t-shirts have made such a difference

My mother has just come in to inform me that we have family friends visiting tonight arriving at 7 :( I sounds like a brat I know but I really don't feel up to seeing anyone and also my mum, no matter how many times we fight about this, still thinks its okay to tell people my private business in extensive detail as if its hers to tell. I just wanted to pick my husband up from work (just about to leave now) and we were going to make a nice dinner and curl up in bed with netflix. Now I need to have a shower and do my hair/makeup or I'll never hear the damn end of it xx

Aw lovely bump pics ladies! You both look ready to burst! In a nice way haha

Amy... for me last time I started losing lots of brown plug (before it had always been clear/ snotty) and I began with mildly painfull tightenings. They were spread well apart but I just knew, they say you just know and weirdly I just did. This was about 5pm, husband then came in for dinner and I told him something was starting but I could tell we had ages so we had dinner and I then said go and check all the sheep as you won't be able to in the morning. He came back in at 8ish, at this point I tried timing them but they were still 11-14 mins apart. It wasn't until 11pm this started ramping up. Obviously everyone is slightly different

Laura sorry you're not going to get your chilled night, I hope the guests don't stay too late

Feeling deflated today, I remember when pg with dd someone said that you won't go into labour if you're poorly/ have a cold etc as the body will wait until you've got some energy/ strength. I don't know how true it is but I think I'm getting a cold :( really starting to think I'll need to be induced this time... Although the next full moon is 28th so maybe I'll just be a few days late
