*July 2018 Mummies*

Thanks Shep, the shower was good. We had coffee and cake and chatted about most random things... as you do. It was nice. We all are mothers to toddlers so there is always some funny stories to share and well some complaining to do :D

KHTW lol your baby brain. Good luck for appointment, how weird she wouldn't check position last time, scan or not. If she doesn't want to today, just tell her to. We like to know! Xx

Bloody right I'll tell her. Last time I didn't bother cause it was early on but now I want to know! x

Morning,
Went o the cinema yesterday to see Jurassic Workd and I cried bloody hormones!! Then got invited to a baby shower so glad I’m not having one really not my sort of thing.

Today I’m on a cleaning mission I keep putting off cleaning up stairs but today is the day I do it so I can blast out music and piss off the decorators next door cause they think 7:15am to put their music on is perfectly fine! Some classical crap!!!

My shower yesterday wasn't really a shower just afternoon tea and had a few presents given to me. Enjoyed it so much more than my actual baby shower a couple weeks ago. I hate being centre of attention and yesterday was more relaxed!

I can't say I feel much better today, I feel like a walking tornado I'm just soooooo angry for no reason! Which is making me angrier because I'm annoyed at myself for being angry Ahhh!! OH was a dick yesterday and I told him I'm fed up with him and I'm not gonna chase him to make things alright again like I normally do, think it shocked him and he came in the room laid and cuddled me really tight and said sorry! It was the moment I needed, we just lay holding each other for an hour and it was lovely as he felt the baby wriggling and we were so close he said he could almost imagine what it feels like for me all the time. He's never had much patience to sit and feel the baby before and he got a bit emotional.

My boobs have always leaked but Omg they are pouring almost constantly now! Both of them too. Does this mean things are coming?? I hope so haha, I wanna make 37 weeks though! X

Happy Monday ladies. Glad you enjoyed your "showers" KH and Jem. Hope your appointment goes well, KHTW.

OH and I successfully built baby's wardrobe so it's time to get washing baby clothes!

Three more weeks of work left and I'm counting down the days. I have a huge project to get through before the 29th so baby can't come before then. After that, it's eviction time as I'm struggling in the heat now.

When are your OHs avoiding drinking alcohol from? (If they are). We were planning a BBQ for this Saturday and hubby is already feeling a bit nervous about the idea of drinking at it, just in case anything happens, although I'll only be 35+4.

So I decided to wait and see the midwife for ds today, I didn't know it could be painful for them though, and we was up till 2am screaming. So hopefullt the midwife can give something for instant relief. Poor thing :( Says the best thing is breast milk so I've been trying to stay ahead and give him just BM. I gave him some I put in the fridge and calmed down loads idk if the cold helped.
Ohhh you guys are gonna hate me, but guess what I did.. Sleep on my front!!! Ahaha.

Jem, I started leaking loads not long before and my mood was bad, I was so irritable and angry for a few days. Which apparently is a sign labour is approaching. Fx for the 37 weeks mark though x

Hope your appointment goes well KH. I wouldn't let them fob you off.

Mala, why is he worried? About driving to the hospital? I would tell him to have a nice time at the BBQ. Will be one of the last times! Iand if your at a BBQ, there will be other people around if anything does happen x

PB so jealous of you sleeping on your front!! Hope things get sorted quickly for lucas bless him!

Oh god I do hope it is a sign of impending Labour, but I don't at the same time haha. Getting my nails done Thursday and next Thursday is OH driving test so need to try and hold on.

Mala my OH drank on Friday night and I started getting really bad Braxton hicks, luckily didn't turn into anything but he was shitting himself haha. Think it's put him off drinking until the baby is here! But he wasn't much of a drinker before. I'd say let OH drink at the bbq and if he feels too nervous then I'm sure it will be his last time before baby comes x

Just realised that made me sound awful "getting my nails done so hope baby doesn't come yet" hahaha. I don't mean it that badly, my nails are just really really long atm from the pregnancy and have gel on them so I need to be filed down as I'm struggling to do things with them let alone change a nappy etc x

Oh PB I can't wait to sleep on my front!

38 weeks today for me! I've been really angry and moody the last 4 days. I'm either annoyed or want to cry.

My husband was drunk Saturday night just gone, he's at a wedding reception next saturday and while he's said he'll not drink atm we'll just play it by ear. I'm still sure baby won't be early and all his friends will be drinking. He deserves some fun after a super busy spring on the farm

Ahh PB, I would do almost anything right now to sleep on my front! Haha.

Yeah, OH is worried he might be drunk when I go into labour haha. He's not a big drinker at all and he'll only drink at social events, like a BBQ, so the chances of it happening when he's drunk are pretty slim. I think he's panicking more than he needs to.

Happy 38 weeks Shep!

Oh my god, I would kill to sleep on my front right now! All I seem to do now is switch from one side to the other...which requires enough consciousness to hold my belly as I turn or all the side muscles pull really badly. X

I want to sleep on my front too!!!

App was good! Baby is 2/5 engaged and all looking good. The trainee MW got excited and was like 'the baby''s head is like reaaaaally low down' and she got told off by my midwife haha apparently people get over excited when they hear things like that x

OH is not big on drinking so I am not worried x

Yesss i'm desperate to sleep in my stomach too! Side to side all night just doesn't cut it lol. Baby is really going for it today my poor ribs

Happy 38 weeks Shep! Baby will be here before you know it hopefully! Crazy we've been in this thread for 9 months nearly xx

PB did midwife help today? Xx

Jem fx for you hun. Do you still feel you're going early? I feel like I'm going to be here well past my date xx

KHTW woohoo 2/5, keep going baby. Your trainee midwife sounds cute lol. Nice to know she clearly gets excited about the job xx

KHTW what a lovely midwife, like Shan said nice to hear her get excited about it. Goes to show she will make a caring midwife I think!

Shan if I'm honest I don't see how I could possibly make 4 more weeks! Everyone that sees me says the same, like oh god it won't be long now and that they can't see me going to due date. But I kinda wish they wouldn't as feel they will jinx things haha. OH still gives his instructions for today or tomorrow, but don't think that will be happening haha!

GG I'm the same, because of my SPD I can't sleep on one side for me than about 45mins so every 45 mins is such a fucking effort to switch to the other side. It's so annoying and I'm getting absolutely no sleep recently x

Lol sounds hilarious. I had a student midwife at my last appointment and she was lovely, it's great to see them learning, have no problem with students being around.

Happy 38 weeks Shep!

I too would love to sleep on my front. I have to switch sides every 1.5 hours due to back pain!

Question for those of you with kiddies ( or the ftms with an opinion on this): So currently sitting in the garden watching all of the kids playing outside. Drives me nuts because they're all between 2-5 and all of them stay out past 8.30- 9pm now. Which makes me the bad one bringing Ivy in first but really, 9pm with nursery in the morning? Ivy is in bed for 7.30. Usually so I'm pushing it to let her stay out longer. I know she's older than some of your kids but do you think 7.30 is too early for 4 year olds? Am I daft?

Jem, could be your instincts are right hun. I'm the opposite, as much as I feel like I'm dying with the size of this baby, the paid. Etc, I don't feel ready at all for labour. I know she was 3/5 at 36 weeks and those lightening things are getting more frequent. But I don't feel like I've only 3 weeks left. So we could both be right. I didn't feel I'd go over with Ivy and I was right. Fucking sucks though doesn't it, especially in the bloody summer! Oh and so nice to hear how your OH has been lately too! Xx

Shanivy, we don't have neighbours and probably never will but honestly I would not v allowing my kids out until 9pm, not even in the holidays. My Dd does to bed at 7pm, if we have friends round on a weekend she'll sometimes stay up until 8/830 but it's a rare thing.

Personally I'd probably think if it was the holidays being out a bit later wouldn't be too bad but kids need a good routine

You know best

Shan, if 7.30 is when you need her in bed by to be able to get things done then this is when she goes to bed, moan or not. But if the reason she goes to bed at 7.30 is because you are worried she may be tired the next day if she stays up longer then let her stay up until 8 or 8.30 for a couple of days and see how she is getting on the next day?

My DD is way younger but she is usually asleep by 8pm, or slightly earlier is she had a busy day. This again may change a bit once the baby i's here x

Shep right?! I swear sometimes I think I'm going mad thinking 9pm is a bit crazy for under 5s to be playing out by themselves. I mean it's a 6 house sort of private cul de sac but still. I still sit and watch them from the window or sit outside in the garden with them in the afternoon. Maybe I'm overprotective. But she's desperate to play out now. Will be interesting juggling that and the baby this summer Xx

KHTW she definitely needs to be by 7.30, she's usually out cold by 7.45pm. I don't mind on the weekends or holidays so much being up later. When she wasn't at nursery and younger she went to bed more like 8-8.30, but now we have crazy attitude if she's been up later. She does get out slightly later at the weekend, me and oh usually sit in the front garden especially now with the weather. Just not as late as the rest of them, 10pm sometimes for them at weekends xx

I'm totally rambling and probably driving you crazy sorry! Thanks for the opinions girls.

Not at all Shan. I would not allow my 5 year old to be out so late!!! 8pm max. That's what I meant - you know best how long she can stay up based on how she is like the next day x
