*July 2018 Mummies*

No sore boobs here and they were never really sore with DD either x

Shep, I hope the baby turns for you, still plenty of time. I am sure there are some exercises you can do to help her shift as well. Glad all other test were also fine x

Never really paid much attention to the measurements done by midwife. Scans are not very accurate let alone a piece of measuring tape x

32 weeks today and 18 working days until maternity starts!!!!!!

Ah shep, bless you. I'm frank breech so have a head up under right ribs and feet up under left, lol. It's joyous at kicking/wriggling time. Lol.

Hopefully your little one will move. I'm sure they'll offer you an ecv in a few weeks to try and move baby. Glad all else went well.

I've been having lots of bh today. Really strong ones and three an hour but lasting a good 4-6 minutes. Mum came and took me for lunch to a local town. Popped in to co-op after and had one that was so tight feeling I had to go outside and walk around but could only manage a slow waddle. Since that one, they've all felt like the baby is about to pop straight out of the front of me, like I have a fist in me trying to push out. So weird. Hope it's just baby's position and not going to be like this every day now. Lol

Shep glad midwife went well on most things. Hopefully you've time for the little lady to get herself moved. Have they have you those exercise to move her? I've heard swimming works very well too. Xx

Happy 32 weeks KHTW, not long now until maternity  xx

Feeling a little better tonight but seems I've caught a sickness bug or food poisoning. Nobody else has been sick so assuming it's the first. OH has been great, he had to take off today and tomorrow to take Ivy to nursery and generally do everything while I've not really left my bed. I don't really believe in tmi (probably from having kids, working in care and this being a pregnancy forum) but pretty much had the worst diarrhoea and vomiting in my life since yesterday. You know you've reached a low when youre sat on the toilet with a sick bucket too :wall:

Phoned midwife as I was concerned about how dehydrated I was getting, and she's made me an appointment for tomorrow morning. I guess that's good since my anxiety is through the roof these days. I keep having this awful thought I'm not going to bring a baby home. I've no idea where it's coming from, I never felt this with dd. So will be good not to have to wait another fortnight to see anyone

Oh Shan, bless you. You're right that dehydration is the risk but if you keep drinking plenty of water and putting back in what you lose, you and baby should be fine. Glad you're being seen though, better safe than sorry. I've had dreams about coming home without a baby and I wake up distraught. You have my every sympathy as those thoughts are horrific.

Jem, yes, you're right. Went in for bloods so phoned triage and they were like, :you're downstairs? Just pop up and we'll take a look. Was having one as I got there and two.midwives said my bump was rock hard but on the machine, all looked fine. I had a little bh while lying down...very different to what I've been getting today so all looks good but they think the change and long lasting tightness as it's only when I stand up, is due to the drastic change in position of the baby. They think being frank breech is meaning a whole new type of support for the weight that my uterus is just a bit stressed and tightening to support baby not as a contraction.

So fucking uncomfortable. They did confirm the position and yep, I have the joy of a head and feet in my ribcage. Explains why bending over feels so bloody awful now, lol.

Oh shan sounds awful! My sister had the same the other day and was admitted with a drip to rehydrate her as she couldn't keep anything in!

GG glad you got it checked out was worried about you!! Silly baby being in a funny position, as if it's not a struggle already and baby is making it worse for you! At least you're having a section so guess it's not too much of a worry if baby doesn't turn? X

Thanks ladies, GG I'm glad everything was okay today with you xx

OH has a cold. He's a whiny whinging clingy brat and actually just said "I would rather be pregnant than have this cold" ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING ME?! I want to kill him

Hi guys. Been a long time since I've popped on. Everyone seems to be doing well! Funny you guys are just talking about shaving - OH had to help me shave a bit a few nights ago. It was hilarious. I only let him do the very top of the bikini line then had to get him to leave and do the rest blind cuz it was just too much for me! I'll ask for his help again closer to the time. I've not been very well for the last couple of weeks with a combination of cold/extreme hayfever/poor sleep.

Also just found out I'm anaemic so may need to start on the iron tablets but overall very tired but happy. I have a growth scan next week at 30 weeks.

I'm also getting "looks" from people when I say I'm not due till 25th July at work - still got 4 weeks of work left. One of the women at work looked me up and down and said are you sure you're not having twins love? I was pretty taken aback, I didn't think people made comments like that anymore... Sigh. But yes feeling big.

Also I have fits of coughing that make me wee myself every time! It's awful! Pressure is definitely getting worse and I'm starting to feel like a little old lady.

The last few nights though I keep dreaming about premature labour and meeting my baby and breastfeeding. Really vivid and weird. Hope you are all having a great time and I'm going to be popping on here much more the next few days, have missed you guys!

Also to any other plus size mums to be out there... I've been told by my midwife that they won't measure my uterus at all at my appointments because it's not accurate if your BMI is over 35. I'm not THAT big, I'd say my figure is very proportional and even I can feel where my uterus is and I was quite surprised. I think she could see I was disappointed so I finally got to hear baby's heartbeat with a Doppler for first time ever which was cool. And they found which way the baby was lying straightaway which made me think, surely I can't be that difficult? Wish I knew how baby was measuring... Guess I'll find something out at 30 week scan!

Oh no Shanivy I hope you get better soon how awful for you, surely once baby is here you must be due about 3 years of not a single illness the amount you've caught when pregnant. How are you feeling this morning?

Midwife didn't mention doing exercise to try to turn baby but I already sit on my ball on and evening and do exercises anyway as I've been so determined not to have a back to back baby this time. I am planning on swimming on one of DD's nursery mornings next week but I planned to start swimming weeks ago and it's never happened

Nice to hear from you Janeyjan. I feel for you with the coughing and weeing Ive done that with every cold this pregnancy

Glad you've been checked over GG. I was thinking it was more to do with position of baby I know my tummy has been very tight while baby has been in this position but not quite what you were describing

Hope everyone else is well

Shan, you really are having the shittiest time! I hope you feel better soon and don’t get dehydrated.
Definitely mention your anxiety at the appointment today – soonest you get help the better. Sending loads of hugs x

GG glad they had a look at the bump and it is the babys position that is causing all this worry. Only few more weeks x

Jane glad to hear you have been doing well and ignore people commenting on bump size, way too many of them to pay attention to x

Had a serious case of baby brain yesterday… So for well over a year now, hubby has been preparing our shopping list through the week and every Friday morning I would go online and order it for Saturday delivery. But for some reason I grabbed the list yesterday and placed the order for next day delivery (today!). Now, both me and hubby are at work and his parents who are looking after DD will now have to deal with our groceries!! Poor hubby re-wrote the list last night cause he couldn’t find his and left it for me this morning to place the order. When I saw the familiar piece of paper at the door I had the most serious brain malfunction and could not figure out whether I actually did the shopping the previous day or was I dreaming about it. Honestly, nothing like that has ever happened to me before!!!!!!!!!

Aww Shan, sorry you're feeling so rough. Not long to go now and then hopefully you won't catch anymore bugs and things after baby is here.

GG, glad you got an explanation and it's just baby's odd position affecting you!

Shep, a friend of mine was also recommended swimming to try and help turn the baby.

I had a shit evening yesterday as I was in a car crash, fml. One street away from my house as well. There's a massive hill on the next street over and I was approaching it when I noticed a car (huge 4x4) further up the hill that I thought looked lost and had maybe missed the turn. It started to roll back with no reverse lights on so I stopped a good 200 metres or so away from it, down the hill, thinking it was reversing slightly to make the turn. Nope, kept rolling back, gaining speed and smashed into the front of my car as I had nowhere else to go. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. Turned out it was an old lady, probably stalled her car and was pressing the accelerator instead of the brake and forgot cars have a hand brake. Fuck sake.

So ended up with a trip to hospital to check the baby is ok. Everything is fine with her, I've got some whiplash, but I still can't help but worry. I'm now like, is she kicking enough, is she kicking too much? Ahhh, it's going to be a long 9 and a bit weeks left.

Mala!! How scary!! She thought the break was where?!?!?! OMG! Glad you and the baby are OK x

Shan, this baby is stealing all your immunity!! Hopefully no more after this and you'll give birth fit and well!

Lol KH, least you have the shopping in already and don't have to deal with it tomorrow :p

OMG mala, seriously if you can't drive a big car why have one. Glad you and baby are ok. How annoying now though, have to do all the insurance and sort your car out, don't really need the extra stress. Stupid women. Ugh.

I know, the old woman said she only bought the car two weeks ago as well. Clearly doesn't know how to drive it and probably shouldn't be on the road. Today will be fun phoning insurers. I wouldn't be surprised if they say my car is a write-off. The whole front is destroyed. The airbags even popped open.

Haha, KH, missed your post about the shopping. Baby brain is a real thing! Ah well, someone is delivering your shopping and someone else even takes care of it when it arrives, haha!

Oh Malagueta how awful! I would have been furious! What did her face do when she saw your bump?! Oh no and your airbags blew up! Let us know what the garage say.... Is it an old car? Such a shame. Glad you guys are safe though. I'm sure baby will be ok but I understand I'd be stressed too.

Hey Janey, yeah the old woman was really upset and then she saw my bump and she was super apologetic and crying. Our car is about 5 years old so we'll just have to wait and see what the insurance company and garage say.

Oh my goodness Mala, how fucking scary being hit while pregnant. Expect the whiplash to get a bit worse over the next few days...don't be afraid to go to the gp if you need to and if at any time you're worried about baby at all, just go straight into your local maternity triage and they'll check you over. Xx

Thanks GG. They checked me over in triage last night and I cried so much with relief after!
