*July 2018 Mummies*

Oooh yes I have one of those! Have to dig it out since waxing isn't an option right now  I'm not quite ready for the natural vibe yet haha xx

GG your baby likes to be different lol xx

Makes me think it's a boy...being bloody difficult like his dad! Lol

I keep forgetting you're having a surprise!! My guess is girl though lol Xx

Okay so I'd love to say I can be bothered to catch up but I can't haha. I've had a quick scroll through so will reply to the few bits that caught my eye!

Facebook groups - I'm in for that, I'll find it much easier to catch up that way!

Nipple leaking - I've been leaking since like 20 weeks, I can literally never take a bra off because the breast pads are my life saver. I hate the damp sticky feeling, but also hate wearing a bra fml. Hoping it will mean I'll have a nice time breastfeeding if I've been leaking so long already!

Laura - sorry to hear you've got GD, i know you were worried about it! There are ways to manage, my mum is diabetic and she used to be a huge sugar eater. At least it's only for a few months but still not the best situation!

Shaving - fml it's getting me so so so depressed, basically like the Jackson 5 down there and I'm so nervous I'll go into labour unprepared and they won't be able to tell what's babies head and what's me hahaha. I have plucked up the courage to ask OH to shave for me, but haven't plucked up the courage to actually get round to doing it yet!

I saw midwife yesterday, she's still a dickhead but was a bit better yesterday. On the plus side baby kicked the shit out of her when she was trying to get the heartbeat, I was so proud hahaha. She said he is growing in proportion on the growth chart, so judging by the line going up since my scan he was about 3lb 13oz so I'm happy with that :) think I'm on the way to a 7lb 11oz ish baby at 40 weeks! He's also been head down for a month now!

Hospital bag is all packed and I'm so relieved. Just need to go into labour now and I'll be sorted haha.

Hope everyone is well xx

Ah great news about baby Jem...sounds like it's all going nice and smoothly for you. Thanks for the reminder about the hospital bag. Need to get mine sorted asap as looks like I'll be even earlier than expected initially.

Shan...it seems to be 50/50 with the guesses lol

GG are you still having a section? Sorry I've missed everything! Why do you think you'll be earlier than expected? X

Jem omfg a Jackson 5 haha!! OH offered too last night since I cried about it but I don't know. The positions we have to get in ourselves do I really want OH to do that?! Fab news about baby!

GG don't take my guess too seriously, guessed both my babies genders wrong lol so probably a boy!!xx

Nausea and serious diarrhoea for me out of absolutely nowhere tonight for me. Fuck this!

Jem, c section anyway because of the pelvis. Now baby has turned and has it's head firmly jammed up in my ribcage. On top of that, had protein and leucocytes in urine today and a few high bp episodes so being monitored for preeclampsia. Baby looks to be big as well...scan soon to take a look.

Shan, yeah, I've had a bit of it. Heartburn being a bitch as well. Hope you feel better soon.

Hahaha Shan tbh it's not that bad I am exaggerating but I have cried over it too!! I think I'm just gonna have to hide my face and let OH do it!
ah GG I did think you were already having a section. Sorry to hear about the further complications :( just think it will all soon be over and you'll have your little baby! I vote boy! X

Yeah, I'm good about it all. Knowing the head is what's causing the discomfort has lifted a weight off me. I thought baby was still head down as I feel definite feet going up into my left ribcage, but that's correct apparently. Head one side, feet the other and bum down the bottom, lol.

Anyone else feel guilty at feeling like you're squishing your baby when ypu have to bend over or sit on the loo?

I wouldn't say guilty, we have no choice but to sit on the loo :D I am trying to bend as little as possible. And baby lets me know right away if it is feeling squished! X

Shitty shitty shitty night here! DD coughs again! AGAIN! And wakes herself and us up. Any just in time for a weekend away... typical!

I think the baby has also moved head down as I feel pretty uncomfortable down below. Scan on 31st May will tell x

Oh leaning forwards my baby hates it, bending hurts. Never had this with dd, was still quite flexible with her tbh. Obviously this one more hassle lol.

I have consultant on 21st, hoping he'll say have a growth scan cos I think he's massive. Dd would have been 10+lbs if we went to 40 weeks. Just worried about forceps, the thought makes me feel sick.

Hey everyone - looks like I’ve missed loads again, would be up for a secret Facebook group! Easier to share photos!
Had my 31 week appointment and all was fine, measuring 31cm although I’m not convinced these measurements are very scientific, I mean what happens if you are a bigger or smaller lady to begin with? Not sure I completely understand it!

Have been really bad food wise this week. Just couldn’t be bothered cooking so had some takeaway!
Work is still busy, I have my final work trip today, 5 hours round trip on the train - fine usually and I do it regularly but I’m glad this is the last time! Can’t believe I only have about 30 working days left!

Happy 32 weeks KH. I always apologise when I have to bend and the baby moans at me, lol.

Fela, hey. Hope the commute isn't too awful for you.

Fela I agree with the measurements. I think they're absolute bullshit and not scientific at all. If you went by my measurements alone (being a bigger girl myself) then my baby is measuring nearly 40 weeks.. Good job I'm having growth scans as baby is actually measuring perfectly to date! I think it all depends on how baby is lying, how much water you carry, how much fat you have etc. If you're a tiny tiny person then I imagine it measures pretty accurate but other than that I don't think it's accurate at all. I'm just keeping an eye on mine to make sure I'm growing in proportion and not too fast x

Anyone else's boobs started to get sore again? Mine have been completely normal for ages but today just noticed them being sore again

Yep...bloody hurt last night and achey still this morning.

Yup jem, been hurting a few weeks now, leaking way more than ever did with dd. But this bit is fine, once your milk comes in omg I used to just walk around in a towel lol. I'm unsure on BF idk if I can.take the boob pain with dd crawling all over me... Shes also fascinated with my nipples!!! Tries to grab them whenever I'm naked aha.

My boobs don't hurt generally but if dd knocks them it hurts which hasn't happened since tri1

Sorry you've had another rough night khtw

The measurements thing is a pain but take it all with a pinch of salt. The important thing is that you follow a steady line/curve. It's really hard for midwives to have a benchmark especially for ftm's.

It's much better second pregnancy, last pregnancy I measured small but had a good size baby this time my chart is based on my bump measurements last time and dds birth weight so while Im measuring smaller again there's no concern as I've got a steady curve which doesn't measure too differently from last time whereas if this was my first baby I'd be needing growth scans and they'd be worried

Turns out I might end up with a scan anyway, saw the midwife this morning and baby is oblique breech. We've agreed she'll see me again in 2 weeks and if she hasn't turned I'll be scanned. Midwife said if she was in the position she's in now I wouldn't be able to have a vaginal delivery so fingers crossed she turns or puts herself into a better breech position and I can escape a c-sec. I'm sure she will tbh

All else good at appointment though, BP good, baby's HR good and I'm group b strep clear!
